If you are looking for a local pet store to support go here! You and your pet will love it…read more I can't say enough good about this place. My pitty mix Billie absolutely loves coming here, she gets so excited when she sees we turn the corner to ice cream street. The staff is helpful, understanding and incredibly patient with the customers and pups. Recently while in my pup was startled by another dog coming in and started to bark the staff were so understanding while i apologized profusely. They were so kind and never made me feel like she was a "bad dog" saying hey I wouldn't like it if someone got in my space like that either. Now don't be surprised to learn they are also fantastic with small dogs. My partner has a six lb Yorkie mix that when we come in she is the star of the show. Extra treats and pets aside, they are the go to when we need items for her. The size selection allows us to shop for the big and small fur babies at once and pick up some ice cream to go.

I was super impressed by the coat selection! We tried on a few until finding the perfect fit, and the staff was so kind and helpful. Willie loved all of the attention and treats. Aside from coats, they have a vast variety of toys, treats (including a bakery!) and dog supplies. There are even gifts for dog lovers! There's a parking lot behind the store with free parking for shoppers and plenty of street parking on the opposite side of the street.

I'm heartbroken and furious about what happened to my dog at Southpaws (1315 8th Ave S, Nashville)…read more I trusted them with his grooming on April 10, 2025--something I've done before. When I picked him up hours later, the groomer casually mentioned he had swallowed "a very small piece" of a toy. No one had called to tell me. They claimed it was no big deal and described it as only a few inches. Fast forward two days--my dog was violently ill. I rushed him to the emergency vet (Blue Pearl), where they discovered a full stuffed giraffe toy, larger than a water bottle, lodged in his stomach. Emergency surgery was required. He's now recovering with pain meds, a cone, and crate rest. The vet bill? Over $7,000. The owner admitted fault and promised to "make things right." First, she claimed she didn't have insurance. Then, when I involved an attorney, she suddenly said her provider would reach out. That was over two weeks ago. Still no word. Just delays, excuses, and a complete lack of accountability. This level of negligence is unacceptable. If you care about your pet's safety and your peace of mind, I urge you to reconsider before bringing them here.

Rick greeted me right away and helped me find what I was looking for while providing helpful info about the product and brand. He later let me know about a lot of services like delivery and price matching that the store provides. The store had a product in stock that was out of stock at other pet stores (antimicrobial eye rinse for dogs). This experience took away a lot of my frustration in caring for my dog. The staff and the people who shop there are all super friendly and kind. I don't usually talk to other customers but the dogs and I visited with everyone here. Just don't mistake it for a fancy place, it's a feed center. The shop seemed to be out of a few basic things when I was looking around to price premium dog food. I'm sure I could have asked and they would have told me when more would be delivered, because they're happy to help. It wasn't that important so I bought some Giant Kong Balls and a snack the dogs picked out instead. They had dog food, cat food, bird food, livestock stuff, an array of toys, leashes, collars, etc. A great stop with or without your pets! Lots of people were stopping here for propane as well.

Mutts & Meows opened just a few months ago. This new location is bright and open with wide aisles…read morefor both owners and pets to have plenty of walking and browsing area. Mutts & Meows isn't just a health pet supply store, they also have grooming and self wash stations, toys, collars, and leashes for both dogs and cats. Our Shiba Inu has been feeling this TN heatwave and is having her coat blowout. I found Mutts & Meows online and decided to try out their self-serve wash with the Shed Happens package. Mutts & Meows allows walk-ins and we were immediately put into our own bathing room. It was super cute and it had a sliding door and window so employees can see that customers and dogs alike are doing okay while also having privacy from other customers. The bathtub was clean and ready for use. It had an apron, plenty of towels, blueberry facial, ear cleaner, a trash for the cotton balls and hair, and a bin for used towels. The water pressure and temperature were excellent! My only complaint (which is why I put 4 stars) is that the dryer isn't great. I'm a former dog groomer and I hate having a damp dog, let alone, I could barely blast any excess undercoat from her deshed treatment because of the low power. I had to go home and do a lot of brushing to finish the job, which normally, I could do a great deshed on our dog with minimal brushing as long as I had a powerful dryer. Overall, this was a very convenient self-wash and I do like that they use natural products. We treated our dog to some treats after her bath and I also bought a funny sticker, too. For $20, it was a good deal and I will come back for more washes.
