Freshly Made Dog Treats
Zach S.

Located in the fatherland district, this small pet supply store is packed with curated dog toys, apparel, and shampoos/conditioners. They also have gifts for dog and cat lovers, such as mugs, shirts, decor, and more. The reason we stopped in was for the freshly-made dog bakery. They have 6 large cases full of bones, cookies, and yogurt cups with bright colors and themed decorations. Our pup approved! They are on the pricey side, but it is located in East Nashville (so that's expected). They have lots of variety for a small location, and we were impressed both times. So check out Baxter Bailey & Company the next time you're around. Make sure to grab something great 'fur' you and your four legged family member.

If you are looking for a local pet store to support go here! You and your pet will love it I can't say enough good about this place. My pitty mix Billie absolutely loves coming here, she gets so excited when she sees we turn the corner to ice cream street. The staff is helpful, understanding and incredibly patient with the customers and pups. Recently while in my pup was startled by another dog coming in and started to bark the staff were so understanding while i apologized profusely. They were so kind and never made me feel like she was a "bad dog" saying hey I wouldn't like it if someone got in my space like that either. Now don't be surprised to learn they are also fantastic with small dogs. My partner has a six lb Yorkie mix that when we come in she is the star of the show. Extra treats and pets aside, they are the go to when we need items for her. The size selection allows us to shop for the big and small fur babies at once and pick up some ice cream to go.

I found this place today and it is WONDERFUL! The bakery is the cutest thing I've ever seen and my dog loved the treats! The employee working (I believe it was Shawna) was so so sweet and welcoming! She gave my dog lots of treats and a party hat for her birthday! We are for sure making this our new pet store!

Stopped into Baxter Bailey & Company today to get some treats for my pup's gotcha day. Very easy street parking, the store was well organized and clean, and staff treated Roxie like a queen. There's a plethora of toys, treats, costumes, and other supplies for your furry friends. We picked out a few treats and a new toy, and we'll definitely be back! Highly recommend!!

How much do my pups Bellini, Chico, and I love Baxter Bailey, & Company? SO. MUCH. I was fortunate enough to meet co-owners Todd and Travis earlier this year when they came on board as sponsors and designers for Nashville Humane Association's Unleashed: Dinner With Your Dog & Fashion Show fundraiser. They were above and beyond generous and introduced their product line to attendees by including adorable pup apparel and accessories in the fashion show, donated those pieces to the auction, and created a stunning pop-up store experience in the Hutton Hotel ballroom space. They also took the time and provided much attention to detail into creating a custom jacket piece for my little co-chair Chico. These men love what they do and the animal kingdom is much better because of it! At that time, they were focusing on selling their goods online, through their glossy print catalog, and at events but as of couple of weeks ago, they have added a bricks and mortar location at East Nashville's newest shopping district: The Shoppes on Fatherland. Chico and I paid a visit during the grand opening weekend and couldn't help but pick up a ridiculously cute holiday sweater (with antlers attached to the hood) for Bellini. Although the space is cozy, each and every square inch is neatly and thoughtfully organized with collars, harnesses, treats, pet care, and gift items. Their branding and refined taste remind me of high-end retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue or Bergdorf's minus some of the pretense and skyrocketing prices. I can't say enough about the authentic joy that this business emits and how us dog lovers need to support this business. Baxter Bailey & Company is a prime example of a local business that does right.

Lovely shop in East Nash, had a wide variety of fun dog and cat toys, clothing, and treats! The owner was extremely friendly and offered plenty of advice for the products sold in the store. Would definitely recommend stopping by to get some goodies for your fur babies!

Amazing pet shop with unique items for your fur babies! The shopkeeper was really knowledgeable. We were especially impressed with the large cookie display case with all these fancy treats (a dog biscuit decorated like a pumpkin spice latte!). It was Charlie's adoption anniversary so we decided to treat him to a cookie, a squeaky toy, bow tie and sweater. We're glad we could spoil him and support this local business!

Yesterday I had my Doodle groomed and noticed an extra charge of $20 dollars written on the bill. It said Doodle Fee. I asked the associate what that meant and she said oh it's just an extra fee for Doodles. I asked her why and she stated it's because they started getting so many in the store. So I said that makes no sense at all! It's just a grift then. She said not necessarily sometimes they are in bad shape. I said well Angus is not in bad shape. He is well taken care of and he is an easy groom. The groomer has told me that he is a very good boy and that he kisses her the entire time. I then told her there is a fee for de-matting so her explanation really makes no sense. I told her that I was not ok with paying the fee. I said I will have to take him somewhere else and she casually said "Ok". She then walked to the back and spoke to someone I guess. She didn't bring Angus and said "The Doodle fee has always been there and you just didn't see it." She also stated they went up on all their prices which I didn't care about at all. She sat there blankly staring at me and said that's the price do you want to add a tip. I was furious but I paid and left. So if you have a Doodle instead of a Poodle you should stay away from this place because I also asked if that was the case and I was told the blanket charge just applies to Doodles.
