The 100 Oaks location was horrible. My dog was injured, and she was only there for a bath and nail trim. The grooming staff were rude and unapproachable. I even heard and witness one of the staff complaining about an old lady with her dogs knocking on the window to get her attention because one of the staff members were late. The member that was supposed to take care of her appointment. My pet goes to a pet spa in Murfreesboro when I am on vacation, and I have never had these issues. They should not be handling your pet; they will abuse them. However, the manager is very professional. Unfortunately, when her back is turned, her staff is not maintaining her high standards. I had an appointment for my two Maltese dogs and after loading them into the car and driving all the way to PetSmart I was told I did not have an appointment. I showed them the phone call and the number that I called and they said yes, that was them and that they did schedule the appointment but because it was not on the calendar I was shit out of luck. They showed zero concern and did literally nothing to try to resolve the issue except try to schedule me the following week...obviously if I needed an appointment the following week I wouldn't have loaded my dogs up and driven across town to get a grooming appointment on that day. Had my shih-poo groomed with Ariel & could not have been happier! Ariel was so kind, gracious, and lovely to deal with. She gave my little fur girl an awesome groom and can tell she really took time and caring when dealing with my anxiety ridden baby! I have to mention, I had a bad experience the day before with a different groomer, but both Ariel, the grooming manager, and Eric, the store manager, went out of their way to make me & my pup happy. This is my review for Elizabeth at this Petsmart location. My pup (toy poodle named mama) has visited Petsmart's grooming for her entire life (12 years now). And fortunately, I have NEVER had an issue with my services. Grant it, her cut may be a little off, but never a big issue. I dropped mama off at 8:30 this am. Yes, we were late. Yes, I called beforehand to check if we would still be served. Picked her up around 11. I did not immediately notice her eyes because her top knot is full. Less than 30 minutes after picking her up I noticed she was looking in the direction of my voice but her eyes were not open. The worry started there. I have gone back to Petsmart twice now. First time back, Elizabeth didn't bother to come see about the pup she groomed that had an issue; another groomer rinsed her eyes with solution. Waited until 2p to go back, maybe her eyes needed time??Furthermore, Banfield told me to monitor her and make an appointment tomorrow!!! I'm stating in my review, if my dog goes blind, I will in fact consult a personal injury lawyer or someone specializing in animal law! It's 9pm and she STILL CANNOT SEE! Her eyes are swollen, watering and oozing. I broke down crying because I am so concerned. I simply wanted her groomed. But she was harmed in the process?? Furthermore, I am writing this review for the customer reading to choose wisely!! I feel like I failed mama as her protector. Beware of Elizabeth! Do NOT take your Wheaten terriers or other non-shedding breeds here. The staff was rude and unwilling to work with us. We provided a picture of the cut we had in the past and she stated it couldn't be used because the dog in the picture was younger. Our pup had a few mats that would have needed to be shaved (yay wheatens who love water and rubbing around in the grass) but the groomer was argumentative and wanted to know exactly what length blade to use (my poor husband doesn't know) instead of guesstimating from a picture. The groomer made it a point to not blend the lengths "because that's what you told me to do". Worst still, charged full price for conditioning treatment on a dog that got mostly shaved. Mostly I'm sad because the groomer seemed to want to prove a point that we didn't know what to ask for and made our pup pay for it instead of trying to help us learn or figure out a solution. We picked her up and groomer stated "Well this is what you asked for..." and got upset when asked to blend it and refused. To be fair, her colleague, Ariel, was kind and agreed to take over to try and help. She did her best to fix it... but it's not worth it to fight someone who doesn't want to even try to help you. I took my dog (a chihuahua) to get groomed at this location yesterday. I've gotten her groomed at Petsmart in Miami before without any issues so I went online and booked a full bath package with the Furminator treatment. When I got there, the person who did my check in said she didn't recommend a haircut because it would damage my dog's coat. I told her ok just do the bath, nail trim and fur treatment. When it was time to pick my dog up, I got a voicemail saying they were unable to trim her nails. And at pickup was told the same. I asked if I could get the services I didn't get discounted from my total but was told I couldn't because I booked wrong online and to be more careful when selecting services next time. Ultimately, I paid $62 for my dog to get only a bath in which they didn't even do a good job because she was still shedding a lot and her face was still dirty. Ridiculous read more

I have shopped with this PetSmart for years, and after being a volunteer for 4 years with the Nashville Cat Rescue (who adopt their cats out through PetSmart), and being a customer for over a decade, this review is long due. I have watched the people who work at this PetSmart for over 10 years not care about the cats for sell/adoption, and it's disgusting. PetSmart is supposed to be a business revolving around pets, yet they continue to be negligent when it comes to the care of these cats, and their lack of care shows they have no empathy for these rescue cats, so why they are working at a pet store is beyond me. Since I have volunteered for the rescue, I know the feeding, play time, and care are all up to the rescue and it's volunteers to handle. HOWEVER... time and time again I have seen these poor cats with no water, no food, vomit in the cages, poop in the cages, a flipped over litter box, A SICK CAT, etc and PetSmart has ZERO desire to help these poor animals. It is very simple to grab the key to the cage to refill their water or clean their cage up if they spill their food. Volunteers can only do so much and come at the end of the evening. I don't know who manages it, and how long they have but I have repeatedly watched this location not care about the rescue that's within their walls, and it sickens me. I will be shopping online, at my vet, and the local pet store (Nashville Pet Products... where they have cats living in the store and actually are cared for). To the managers and workers of PetSmart - I don't care if you're not associated with the rescue. Be a kind human and check on those sweet babies when a volunteer isn't around. And if you don't feel like you should, go work for a corporate company that has nothing to do with animals! Also, one of the managers has tried to give me advice on what I should feed my cats, and I don't appreciate being told what's best for my cats when I didn't ask. I have done a lot of research on what looks best for a cat's diet, and get advice from my veterinarian. read more

New customer. Booked our two dogs for grooming. One yorkipoo one toy poodle. Both about five pounds each. The breed was listed on their site when I made the reservation. Two separate appointments 30 min apart. Since I have appointments I'm under the impression that they should be completed in no more than two hours. Finally called 2.5 hours later and told it would be another 1.5 hours. When finally picked up the dogs there was an $11 difference in the fee for one vs the other. They charge according to the breed. This was never mentioned. I could understand there being a difference if I had a large husky and a toy poodle but there is no real difference in two 5 lb dogs. Poor communication and when I nicely questioned the fee difference all I was told is we can't change the fee and didn't even look up when they spoke to me. When checked out and mentioned to the cashier that we would not be back she did not say a word. When I've gone to Petco or any other groomers I've never been asked to pay a different fee. Grooming was ok but I won't be back. I hope management views this review and can counsel the young people who interacted with me. This is a lack of training and how to handle a dissatisfied customer. Dani !!!!!!! I have a 10 year old Yorkie Pomeranian pup whom is MY LIFE - FUDGE. Every time I have to get him groomed I have an anxiety attack - we've all heard the stories right? Well Dani has taken care of Fudge multiple times and tonight was just icing on the cake. She always does a great job doing exactly what I ask, his tail looks like a work of a art when she's done and he looks like a completely different dog - in a positive way. The best thing for me is how Fudge acts after grooming and it's always happy, loving & full of energy. If all of that doesn't keep me coming back last night I got back early and Fudge was in the middle of being groom - like a creep - I stood behind the column. For 2 reasons 1) he wouldn't see me & get excited 2) let me watch and see what happens when no ones watching. Well what I witnessed was pure joy! Fudge was being his normal good boy & curious and Dani was petting him, grooming him, holding him with care &&&&&&&& sharing nose kisses with Fudge - my heart melted. These pictures don't even capture all of the dead and mistreated fish I saw. They also had a few tanks for plants that were incredibly sad to see. I am so, so disappointed with the quality of animal care. I bought what I needed to buy and left. But I do not think I will be back. Fish are animals too! And deserve to be cared for properly. This is so upsetting. If anyone has aquatic fish needs, I'd recommend doing some research in your area and going elsewhere. read more

First of all, when my dog was finished getting a haircut I did not receive a call to come get him. I returned to Pet Smart 3.5 hours after I dropped him off just to check on his status and the groomer said "He's done, did I not call you?" She hadn't. Second and worst of all, my dog contracted Folliculitis, a bacterial infection of the skin. After taking him to the vet we were informed that he most likely got the infection from the trip to Pet Smart. I don't know if they don't clean their equipment or what ,but I will not be returning. Oh also he had a small cut on him when I got him back from them, so I don't even know if the groomers are trained to cut hair properly. read more

This review is for Sean (trainer) IF YOU NEED A DOG TRAINER GO TO SEAN. I have a 9 month old Great Pyrenees who weighs 100lbs. Before getting Hank into private lessons, I was unable to walk him on a leash at all. I'm only 140lbs and he has almost pulled me down a few times. Due to Covid and me being a high risk with an autoimmune disorder, I CAN NOT risk any chances going to the ER so we decided to put Hank in Sean's private training. Hank is a whole new dog, he listens better, I have complete control with him on the leash now and we've only had 3 sessions. Sean tailors your lessons to your dogs specific needs, and we've learned so much already! Absolutely worth every penny, and I could not thank Sean enough. I will be referring him to anyone in the Nashville area who needs dog training. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR GROOMING. They are the MOST incompetent humans I have ever encountered. Here are a few examples. 1. I have scheduled appointments at times, shown up, only to be told my appointment was at another time that I would have never agreed to because I work full time (i.e. a 3pm appointment). 2. The check-in process is terrible. My dog hates these people (and he's a frenchie so he literally hates no one). Because the entry is so tiny there will be 4-5 dogs waiting to check-in at the same time and it gets very crowded. So while my dog is freaking out in my hands (because I can't put him down to be with the 5 other dogs), they will ask you to sign things. I literally cannot sign anything. Take my dog back, hold my dog, do something to help. One time I just drew a line as a signature. 3. I pay for an express which is nails, ears, bath, and a 15 min brush. He does not get put in a kennel. Hank gets done in 20 min. I don't even know how that is possible. 4. 2/4 times I have taken Hank here they have not cleaned his ears. 5. Sometimes Hank gets sprayed with smell good stuff and gets a bandanna, other times he's practically shoved at me. It's incredibly inconsistent. read more

There was a lot of weird drama going on in this store... The groomer was upset with everyone and refused to even talk to me since she was bent on leaving. Her assistant was in training and kept trying to help everyone with her limited knowledge, but when she went to the groomer for help, she just rolled her eyes and didn't respond. The assistant finally told me that they were busy and to come back in 20 minutes and the groomer was just like "well I'm not doing it." I left and came back with my dog in about 30 minutes and waited to be helped. While there, I saw the other groomer try to clip two other dogs nails and both times got exasperated with them and yelled at them and then gave up, telling the pet owners that their pets needed to go to the vet to be sedated to have their nails down since they weren't cooperative. Sure enough, my dog was up. They clipped two nails and said the same thing. I am not sure what was going on there, but I will not be returning. Petco in Brentwood had much better service and had no issues cutting my dogs nails. read more

This is an okay PetSmart. One of my main pet peeves is the parking lot is always a pain getting into. Once you're in, it's okay. I like the size of this PetSmart, it's big. The fish selection is always sparse. The fish always seem to be very small or sickly, I don't purchase fish from here. I stopped by looking for The World's Best Cat Litter in the lavender scent. I checked online and it showed that PetSmart sold it. I guess they don't sell it at this location though. Oh well. This PetSmart is an other old, therefore the cat adoption section is a room you can go in with the cats in their little cages. I like this setup more than the newer stores where you can only see the cats from behind the glass. Fair warning that the room can sometimes smell like poo. read more

Absolutely appalled. Went in today to get a calming tube for my dog since he is getting surgery and we didn't want to get the normal cone. Got home, opened it up and it has already been USED. Absolutely disgraceful. Long blonde dog hair all over the collar and completely matted into the velcro. I PAID $40 FOR A FULLY USED COLLAR. I'm all for returning things but make sure you staff doesn't put it back on the shelf without completely checking it first. Sure as hell not ever using this location AGAIN.
