Not a very large store but friendly and has the basics. Plus it's right next door to Trader Joe's!

We arrived at 0950 hours so we walked the pups around the block until they opened promptly at 0959 hours like clock work. We were welcomed in by the staff member (didn't get her name, but was super polite and helpful) she proceeded to review the 4 glass enclosed shower areas. The showers were extremely clean and beautiful with new Koehler faucets and inset bathing areas surrounded by nice tile. These showers were better than most homes! The areas lacked for nothing in relation to your dog washing task. Towels were provided as well as rubber scrubs, coat brushes, and shampoo. The shower was equipped with actual hot water. The enclosure also had air blowers you could use to help with the drying of your pup if they will allow you to do it. The best part besides the awesome service and first class accommodations it's 20 bucks for each pup and you have the option to bring your own dog shampoo and save yourself 4 bucks on your wash! The store also has groomers for bookings. Great store and we will be back. Absolutely impeccable space and a welcomed addition to our East Nashville community.

It's located on the corner and there's plenty of street parking. The inside of the store is super cute, bright, and very clean. The associate was super helpful and even gave our pup a "pup cup". There are also treats that dogs can sample. We left with a new harness, matching waste bag clip for her leash, and a treat. She hates wearing anything aside from her collar and a bandana on occasions but appears to love her harness and doesn't want to take it off.

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've been taking my multiple dogs here on and off for…read moreyears. But over the course of 6+ months, I was getting overcharged for my daycare 10-packs, to the tune of $1,020 (MINIMUM!). I understand mistakes: this is an easy one to make if front desk staff don't know how to charge proper rates (in this case, giving me my "multiple-dog" rate of a 50% discount for daycare passes/packages for the second dog). But what is completely unacceptible is how they handled the issue. I brought it to their attention after realizing how they "punch cards" for daycare, and that they were charging me full price for the second dog. The staff was completely ill-equipped to 1) FIND/VERIFY the issue (after hearing our concern that they said they couldn't verify if I was right by reviewing invoices, and the best they could do was print off 8 pages of hard-to-discern transactions to review, AND we only got the records after asking multiple times, AND they couldn't email the records; they made us come in and request a printed copy), and 2) provide adequate refund, and 3) act in any way apologetic or with an interest in correcting this as a customer service issue. They then referred us to the owner to take it up with him. We contacted the owner and his response via email was: "'I'm in Florida dealing with a sick family member dealing with breast cancer. I should be back in Nashville in 6 weeks. I'll look into this when I return." We respected his personal matter and waited 6 weeks. We've now contacted him twice since then, and still ave no response. We were referred to the OWNER, CHAD, on May 25, wrote him on that day, respected his privacy for 6 weeks, then emailed him twice, and it's now August 2 and we still have no resolution. This place is terrible. DON'T GO. There are SO MANY great dog service businesses in town where they care about their customers. Dog Spot is NOT one of them.

I noticed that he was not eating anything when he was at the adoption place. and would just go to his bed and fall asleep. I thought it was because all his brothers and sisters had got adopted and he was missing his litter mates. when I got him on the Saturday. He still had not ate anything. I figured it was stress and anxiety from being in a new environment. However, that was not the case. by Sunday he could not keep his balance and would just lay in his bed. I knew something was not right. Monday morning i called VCA and told them the issue. I had an appointment with them that Monday in the afternoon but wanted to get my little guy in asap I was scared and worried about him. VCA took him back and advised me that he was sick and needed to stay with them. I then got a call that same after noon and was told he did not make it. VCA was so wonderful and said that he should have been sent over to be looked at before they sent him home with me. So please please when you adopt a puppy or kitten from this place make sure you get them checked before you take them home. I am heartbroken that I lost my little guy. thank you so much love at first sight for making me an emotional reck and making my first experience with you a disaster.

Like many folks have said in these reviews, everything about NHA was great---the workers, the…read morefacility, the adoption process, etc. But for the love of God, PLEASE stop the high-pressured insurance "consultation" by Fetch insurance at the end! We had already (gladly) spent an hour and a half at the shelter to adopt two kittens when we were directed to a dude sitting at a desk right in the middle of the lobby. We were told he was doing "post-adoption consultation" which was total BS. He made a few vague comments about kitten health and then jumped right into a hard sell for pet insurance. As others have said, guilt and pressure tactics are used in hopes of catching new owners, who want to do everything right for their new pet, at a vulnerable time. Like so many others, we fell for it, only to later realize that the insurance ($80 a month for 2 kittens) was insanely high! We cancelled as soon as we looked through the paperwork and saw that we had been taken. Luckily, Fetch refunds 100% in the first 30 days. We may use another insurer, but cornering and guilting new pet owners in the middle of a noisy and hectic shelter certainly put us off from EVER using Fetch. So a word of advice: if you adopt and they want to send you over to "post-adoption counseling," just say NO! Let them know that you're aware that it's just an insurance hard sell and that you prefer to research insurance options on your own. And as others have pointed out, avoid Murphy Road Animal Hospital at all costs! That's where the "free" exam is offered, but that vet clinic is notorious for horrific over-charging and poor care. Most vet clinics have discounts for initial wellness exams, and no vet is "free" since you still have to pay for shots.

She's almost 5 months now and obviously a puppy so pee accidents are expected. However, this is constant and sometimes she doesn't even realize she's going. Our vet has given 2 cycles of antibiotics and now says it's probably not infection. We changed vets and the new one tells us that being spayed at 2-1/2 months is WAY too soon and the hormone deficiency prior to a 1st heat cycle can cause all these problems and more! She could have lifelong urinary problems and is more susceptible to bone cancers, joint issues, as well as developmental issues. Early spaying is common practice at shelters but even the vet said that 2-1/2 months is just irresponsible on the part of Nashville Humane Association (NHA) and we are watching our new baby suffer everyday because they are in such a rush to process these puppies through the system for adoption. We would warn anyone adopting from NHA to ask questions about the early spay practices. FYI, a normal, healthy spay age is between 6 and 24 months. Adopt at your own risk (and puppy's) from a place like this.
