Horrible customer service. I was not greeted, helped, or acknowledged, that's fine whatever. But then the cashier completely ignored me when i was next in line and turned around to talk to her coworker while i waited for at least a minute. Then she finally started to help me, and turned back around AGAIN to gossip about their coworker who had just come in late. Finally after her coworker realized I was just standing there for hella long, she started checking me out. She asked if I had an account, and her tone of voice was very different and rude compared to how she was speaking to her coworker. I gave her my number, and tbh i'm pretty sure she didn't even enter it in. So i won't get my points. She continued to talk to her coworker about the late girl "she was 23 minutes late blah blah" (girlll... why u care if she was late? u can't even do YOUR job). I waited for her to put my item in the bag along with my receipt and then i took it and walked out. Whole time she was talking to the other girl. No "here you go", "thanks for coming in", "have a nice day". I'm not a picky customer, and I work in retail so i understand socializing with coworkers. I would have been fine if she was multitasking and checking me out WHILE gossiping, girl that's fine. But to act like you aren't being paid to be at work and pretend like i don't exist? Crazy. This location specifically is why I give them one star. The clothing is great but the customer service is way more than lacking. No one to greet you when you come in, or to ask if you need any help. Then once you do have cloths to try on there is no one to get you a dressing room. I had to wait till someone left a room to get one. Then once I was in and out several times to get other sizes or colors since no one asked if I wanted help I was ready to check out. Walking up to the cash register I pass 2 employees that look right at me then about a minute later after I have been standing at the register they finally ask if I am ready to check out. I say yes then they call across the room for someone else to help me. If I am going to buy several items and spend well over $100 I expect better service. This happened twice as I did give them a second chance but I don't plan to come back. read more

Ahhh, Hollister. I like your beach themed store. The clothes are of good quality. The type of music is really nice too. Yet...... there are so many things that I don't like about you. The thing that bugs me the most is the price. I have to avoid shopping here so that I don't get obsessed over the very nice, pretty clothes. I saw some skinny jeans that I really liked today, but they were $50! I am so broke that I can't even afford $15 or $20 jeans. A simple shirt was $20... No thanks. I'm also annoyed by the loud music and the low-lights. The music is rediculously loud. I couldn't hear my friend speaking up close. I could barely hear the store associates as well. It is also really dark in there. I don't like the feeling of being inside dark places. It makes me feel sad and wanting to go outside. I don't really like the atmosphere either. It doesn't feel right to me. I like the theme of the store, but I don't think it fits with my personality. The employees are helpful too. They arn't too pushy and they are very knowledgeable. Same day I made returns to American Eagle & Zumiez with same purchase date and Only store that did not refund back to my card was Hollister. A 30 minute drive to the closest store for a gift card. 5 Stars for Hollister?! Here's why! Went shopping here yesterday for Christmas gifts for my younger cousin. I have not shopped at Hollister in YEARS! I used to love Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch when I was in High School many moons ago LOL I honestly kind of miss it and wish it were still trendy at my age ha ha Anywho there was such a good deal on hoodies 50% off, they young guy working there was helping me find the size that I needed (maybe because I was screwing up his tower of sweatshirts ha ha. When we were checking out at the register the nice young lady gave us an additional 25% discount for no reason! How nice of her! I guess there's an option to even out your total to the next dollar amount and the remaining cents will be donated to charity, how could you say no when she gave an extra discount? Jaynie and her crew saved me about 200 bucks when they found my sunglasses I left in the dressing room. They offered to take down my information as I was walking out in the case that they were found. That was until Jaynie came running to my rescue like a shining beam of light grasping an overly priced pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. Not only that, but she was very kind when she processed my transaction. This crew has a good vibe to them. They work well together and you can tell they genuinely like their work environment. I love Hollister I always have. The lighting in here is not so great but then again that's the theme and the music can be loud but it's sometimes nice calmly music to very dancy pop music not that many employees ever working but that's ok. I will never shop at Hollister fairfield ca. I bought a jacket online didn't like return into this store and the left the sensor on it. When I was ready to wear it I notice it I immediately started looking for my receipt couldn't find it. I called the store rick answer and said if I don't have my receipt they can't take it off but the didn't remove it. He left me on hold for 20min to put someone else on there to tell me o that's there policy so they can't do it. So I'm club Cali so when the person help me with the exchange she didn't have me type my information so it couldn't be located. To the Corporate / CEO of Hollister CO. I have been a loyal customer of Hollister for over 10 years now and have spent thousands if not hundreds of $$$ online and in your store. I would like to bring to your attention the fact that I received extremely poor customer service during my last trip at your store Fairfield, CA Store 30310 Solano Mall, January 02, 2016 at approximately 7:30 p.m. On December 26,2015 I purchased an outwear and associates # 02026224 helped me with my purchase. I used a visa debit gift card to pay for my purchase and your employee told me that I have to keep the card and receipt so if I want to return the item they can refund me in the original payment I made. Everything went well then. Since I didn't try the item at the store when I purchased it, the outwear didn't fit me so I wanted to return it, but I was treated like a criminal by your manager. Yes, your manager who refused to give her name. The manager, was very rude and unprofessional. She told me that they cant refund me the original payment and that they can only issue me a store credit. I told her that the associate who helped me said that they can refund me in the original payment I made and that I didn't want the store credit and I would like to be refunded in the original payment I made. She told me that she cant and that I was misinformed and that there is nothing that I can do but to keep the item or accept a store credit. I told her that if I want to keep the item I wouldn't be here in the first place. Her exact words were "well you are misinformed an we cant refund you so you have to keep the jacket or accept a store credit" in a very intimidating and rude tone and basically telling me that there is nothing that I can do but be stuck in the store credit or take the jacket. I am extremely disappointed that your manager didn't offer any help or to see if there's anything that she can do except pushing me away since I was misinformed by one of your associate. I told her that it is not my fault I was misinformed but instead of listening or offering an apology she is tried to engage me in argument by saying "it is not my fault either" and that "there is nothing that I can do for you" and pushed the jacket towards me and saying " keep the jacket" by this time I was already frustrated I felt like that I am being treated unfairly, not only that I was misinformed but your manager was not very helpful and very unprofessional. I asked nicely if she can call someone and even offered one of my cards maybe she refund me that way. but she refused and rolled her eyes. I asked for your corporate phone number and her attitude got worst. She said "we don't have corporate phone number and tried to give me a blank card and so I told her I can look it up online so then she demanded that I move to the side because there is a customer behind me. by this time I can really tell that she wants me to go away she is not done helping me yet and very rude to just shoved me on the side. While I was trying to call your corporate office your manager also made a phone call and another associates were chatting and eating (yes they were eating) in the counter while looking at me like I'm sort of a trash which again made me feel uncomfortable. then suddenly a big security officer and a tall guy (not in uniform) showed up. My gut tells me that the manager called the security to possibly kick me out of the store. The security was about to approach me but me I already knew what he wants to say. I asked him what did I do and he told I have to leave the store. GREAT! now people got their attention on me like a some kind of criminal. I am shocked and floored by this I've never been treated this poorly and unfairly in my entire life. I then responded again what did I do and why am I being escorted? He said they receive a phone call requesting to escort me out (he looks confused) I told him that why do they have to call you and how come they didn't tell me they want me out. after explaining the situation to the security officer he agreed with me and understood why I was frustrated. and was shocked that they didn't even work with me or even ask me to come back while they are trying to find a solution with me problem. Let me just remind you that I am very calm the entire time. So then we proceeded to the counter to get my stuff back and possibly come back next time. I asked the manager why she had to call the security and why she didn't tell me that she wants me to leave? She said you "yelled at me" first of all that is a big lie! I did not yell at her and second of all if have a loud voice that if I yell they will hear me very loud, and when I told her that she told me to just leave very rude and feel she is not talking to a human being. I went to the Hollister Store in the Solano Mall today. Out of all of the people in the store (white), my 14 yr. old son and I were actually followed around while he looked for some overly priced clothes for school. The clerk never asked if we needed help finding anything. He just stood closely behind us and watched us the whole time we were in that store. When I asked him if he was following us, he answered with a smart-assed comment then walked away offering his services to another customer (white) with a smile.
