They called it breakfast but I have my doubts. You can zoom in on the gray gravy.

Location is great, hotel was clean and service was good. Parking was $18 per night, key cards continued to fail. But the big disappointment was the breakfast. It was $12 / person and was discounted if you prepaid. My recommendation is DO NOT EAT THERE! We arrived for breakfast at 9:20 and it's served until 11. It was almost completely empty with the exception of French toast and 2 biscuits with sausage gravy. The French toast was black and the gravy gray. Looked better than it tasted. Had to wait several minutes for them to give us a plate and silver ware. The good news is McDonalds is 2 blocks south of this l

This Holiday Inn has a great location. It is within walking distance to St Augustine Historical District. Prices are not bad compared to other hotels in the area. The room is spacious and clean. It comes equipped with a small fridge, TV, microwave, coffee maker, and I can't remember what else. There is a gym and a pool. I didn't use any of these. There's no complimentary breakfast. You must purchase it at the cafe located in the lobby. There is also happy hour 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. every day. 3 stars. I would stay again.

Are you kidding me???? For $300. Check the photos. The place is all hard surfaces , easy to clean i Guess. Totally unappealing. No decor at all. Desk no light no pen no paper, no St. Augustine magazine, nothing. No carpet. The safe is on the floor. The wall ac heat control on the wall does not operate the ac and heat. The controls are on the window unit. He ac is so loud to watch tv you must raise the volume. The furniture is Laminate like a plastic. There is only 1 of 2 mirror closet doors and it was off the tracks. The front desk help was challenging, they checked us in, so we thought and gave us our parking pass. The room was not ready, we were early, finally the person found us sitting in the lounge and asked for our reservation to produce a key. She left and never returned. Went to the desk waited in line again and then was told , sorry I forgot and that our card did not work. Why come and find us only to drop the ball. Produced a new card and finally got keys. Can not wait to get out of here. And BTW. this is a renovated room.

If you were to come here for any reason come to eat Derricks food I hope the management realizes what they have here. The man is a true chef his food is off the charts Roger the bartender is a real great one also. But did I mention Derricks food

I do love Holiday Inns.. I've come to expect nice staff, a clean room, and a nice, comfortable bed. Our room was clean.. but that's just 1 of 3 key ingredients. Clean room is great though; it looked nice and fresh, and spotless. The staff here is mediocre. They don't give IHG members water at checkin (the little things do count, you know). They don't smile.. and they're not always at the front desk.. someone should always be there so people aren't waiting around forming a line. The worst part? The sheets.. soo bad. Scratchy as hell. Seriously, I woke up several times in the night just because of those darned awful sheets. Those are not normal Holiday Inn sheets.. they can't be. They're tone-on-tone white striped, with 1 green stitch across the top.. and they feel like sandpaper. I didn't take a photo of the bathroom.. It seemed mid-renovation. Pretty ugly - Mismatched.. I'm assuming that will be fixed soon because everything else was clearly newly renovated, looks fresh, pretty, and clean.

    Unheated pool...brrrr!

This is a less conventional Hilton, and that fits very well within St Augustine, since there's nothing conventional about St Augustine either. We took a walking tour of St Augustine and learned a lot about this history of this hotel - the hotel has done an incredible job making itself look less Hilton-like and more like St Augustine. From the back of the hotel, you can barely tell that it's a hotel at all. In the valet area, they have relics of civil rights history native to St Augustine. As far as the rooms, room 140 is the place to stay. It's got a door that opens right out to the pool deck. It's a spacious room with large TV and a comfortable bed, and a great view of A1A, the horse and carriage rides across the street and the water. The location is right in the center of everything - St Augustine is a very walkable town, and you can get from the southernmost to the northernmost area with this hotel right in the middle. Plenty of restaurants and retailers in the neighborhood. The restaurant at this hotel was wonderful for breakfast - extremely friendly, efficient and internationally diverse staff made our stay appear joy. The lobby is attractive and the renovations they've done show true attention to detail. I look forward to returning next month after all the lights go up, since this hotel generally has some of the best holiday lighting in all of St Augustine. From a wonderful location, beautiful rooms, great service, reasonable pricing and sufficient amenities, this is a five-star experience.

I feel like we got the perfect room in room 140 because our room opened up to the pool so I felt like it was our own private pool. The room was very modern and comfortable. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was a very good experience. We also had a great view of the water.

The room was nice and spacious, with odd closets, but they worked for the time we were spending there. They also had robes if we needed to be bougie and prance around. We slept well and had a nice view of the square between the Lightner Mansion and Flagler College. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. They gave good recommendations on how to get around Saint Augustine, which had been a minute for me, so it was good to get a refresher. Sparkling wine at the front desk when we checked in was excellent and helped us unwind after the drive from South Florida. They have a gym and pool that I believe is accessible through the second floor, so I will have to remember that for our return trip. Also, they have a Starbucks on the lobby floor, which was great to get our morning pick-me-up. The bar and restaurant were very stylish, lots of Spanish influence from the 15th and 16th centuries. The cocktails were also solid. I didn't care for the water pressure and temperature, as they were difficult to adjust and ensure we were getting the correct settings. It was pretty scalding hot, so it took a couple of minutes to get it right, and then I kept it on the setting for my wife since I didn't want her struggling to mess with it. Apart from that, the experience was great. We enjoyed the sparkling wine and the accommodations when we checked in. The valet was good to have, as I didn't want to mess with street parking, but it is more expensive; take note.

They weren't slices, they were shreds of tuna. No taste whatsoever. As a travel editor I rate this restaurant with a 1.

I used "reservationdesk.com" (Expedia-?) to make this reservation. The agent PROMISED that we would be on a second floor with a BAYFRONT VIEW. When we arrived at the MARIN HOUSE B&B, there was no waterfront view at all, and we were on the first floor, crammed into a little corner on the property. At check-in, we were basically told that, it's your problem because we used a third-party ("reservationdesk.com"). FINALLY, a week later, we finally got our receipt. Marin House said that they could not even give us a receipt because we went through a third-party. So, one week later, I see that we were charged for three nights, even though we checked out after the first night. ReservationDesk.com said that they contacted Marin House, who told them that since we checked out after the first night, it was against their B&B POLICY, and they are refusing to refund FOR THE TWO NIGHTS THAT WE WERE NOT EVEN THERE!!!!!
