Live view of Port of Miami
    Vikki W.

There is a lot of renovations going on in the area. Be mindful that parking is limited but there is a lot across the street where you can pay via a website. Bayside Market is across the street and the Metro Mover is right next door. My room was clean and had a nice view of the Biscayne Bay. Front desk did a great job as the hotel is busy due to travelers going on cruises. There is a shuttle to the Port of Miami. Had a great stay!

**Title:** Unbelievably Disappointing--Avoid at All Costs Let me start with the few positives: the staff at the Holiday Inn Express at the Port of Miami are genuinely friendly, and the location plus the view could be fantastic under better circumstances. Sadly, that's where the good news ends. Everything else about this hotel is an absolute disaster--let me be clear, it's a complete shit hole! Shit hole! Yes, I said it twice, just in case there was any confusion.) The carpets? Disgusting. The furniture? Scratched, stained, and about as appealing as something left on the curb. The entire room reeks, and every fixture--light switches, water faucets, you name it--feels grimy, like they haven't seen a proper cleaning in ages. The vents appear to have never been cleaned, the curtains are damaged, and the whole vibe screams neglect. I feel like I'm on a hidden camera show waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out and yell, "Gotcha!" And the bed situation? I'm stuck on a rickety futon with a thin, prison-quality mattress offering zero support. If I wake up with bedbug bites, I won't be even slightly surprised. Between the stale odors and the decrepit state of literally everything, this hotel is giving me serious second thoughts about ever trusting brand-name accommodations again. To top it off, this place isn't cheap. At $300+ a night, you'd expect cleanliness, comfort, and at least a baseline standard of quality. Instead, it feels more like a slum than a reputable hotel. IHG should be ashamed to have its name on this property. I've stayed in rough motels before (including one that was my fault for accidentally booking a smoking room), and yet this might actually be worse, purely because I expected so much more from a known chain in a prime Miami location. It's time for Miami's authorities to crack down, and for private investors to step in and renovate or rebuild this sorry excuse for a hotel. In the meantime, do yourself a favor: avoid the Holiday Inn Express at the Port of Miami at all costs. The view and the staff simply can't compensate for the appalling condition of the rooms. If I could give this place fewer than one star, I would.

Strange plastic bag taped to wall.

Very expensive dump. Peeling paint, strange plastic bag taped to wall, phone inoperable, tiny room all for just over $500. And after spending a long day in a car to get here, the last thing we needed was the surly lady at the front desk

Port convenient, prices have more than doubled in 5 years. Some water damage on art work, door locks wouldn't work, won't be back here again, severely over priced

WROST HOTEL EVER!! AVIOD AT ALL COST!! My family and I stay at this hotel only one night because it was close to the port. Our room was small, smelled like urine, and didnt even have a fridge. The two ladies at the front desk was cold and unhelpful. The carpet smelled musty and bathroom was filled with mold and rust spots throughout. I had to switch rooms because the smell was just unbearable. Although the new did not smell like urine, it still was rusty, small, musty carpet, and moldy. This hotel seems to not be updated in decades. ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE... they offer breakfast for $35 and do not offer free coffee. EVEN IF IT COULDNT GET ANY WROSE... I have other family members who also stayed and they noticed their toilet was leaking. When confronting the front desk about the issue, the front desk gave them more towels and ensure someone would stop by to fix the toilet which maintenance never arrived. When talking with other guests in the lobby they also endured a similar experience and vowed to never stay here again and said THEY HAD TO SLEEP STANDING UP BECAUSE THEIR ROOMS WERE SO DISGUSTING.

This hotel is a tourist trap. It is conveniently located near the port of Miami. But it is obviously in need of repairs and a DEEP clean. We were on the 6th floor. Upon exiting the elevator the smell of mildew was apparent. Upon entering the room, the air smelled musty and dusty. Unfortunately we were stuck there as there wasn't any other rooms available at the other nearby hotels during the holiday. Every time the air conditioner came on, the smell of dust filled the room. My husband removed the cover and found the filter to be completely filled. (As seen in one of the photos) He called the front desk and they sent a maintenance person up a short time later and replaced it. There were exposed wires in our room. And dust was thick along the baseboards and windows. One of the large heavy mirrors in our bathroom (located behind the bathroom door) was not attached to the wall, but rather hanging from two screws and some wire. If you have small children or adults with mobility issues, this could be dangerous. Also there is a large lip from the bedroom space going into the bathroom, which poses a tripping hazard. The tin and toilet handle had clearly been painted over and the paint is chipping/peeling away. There was also black mold growing in the shower. The front desk person was pleasant upon our arrival. The lobby appears clean. The pool is closed; and has been for quite some time. There were food/meds/drinks available for purchase. This hotel does not offer breakfast, but given the state of our room, that may have been a blessing. If they cannot maintain a clean hotel you certainly do not want them running a kitchen. We will not stay in this hotel again. Based on all the new buildings going up around it, my best guess is the owner of this hotel is waiting for someone to make him an offer on this property and perhaps that's why it is not being cared for in an appropriate way.

    Dirty

Shit hoke very dirty smells of mildew wear socks in your room carpet is dirty took a shower and feet dirty after walking on the carpet phone doesn't work in the room plugs not working ice machines are all broken very old decor dusty and dirty run fast find another hotel only 2 elevator work

There's an actual step into the bathroom! In an accessibility room no less!

I checked in on the app the day before and picked the room. We parked in the garage, went to the lobby, and got our room keys. As we went to the room, there was a sign on the door indicating the room was occupied. I was surprised and ended up going back to the lobby to see what happened. It turns out that the app was glitchy and we were put in a different room number. The lady behind the counter made adjustments and we were able to stay on the same floor as what I originally picked, but in a different room. The room had a king bed, a fridge, microwave, a TV, drawers, and a bathroom with a shower. It was very clean. We got two drink vouchers to redeem at the lobby/pool bar, which was a plus, to enjoy while we were at the pool. The hotel has a fitness center as well. The continental breakfast provided a selection of coffee and juices for the beverages. The food items consisted of a waffle bar, different types of pastries, and breakfast foods to choose from. They offered a little more than some of the other locations I have been at.

If you miss breakfast, they had breakfast bags with fruit and other grab and go items. You will need your room key to access the laundry room and guest floors. There is no carpet in the room I was in (basic king- not the elite level) and pets are not allowed. Service animals only. The hotel has a lobby bar, three restaurants are located right next door (Sproutz, Batch Gastropub, and Shahs of Kabob). I dined at Sproutz and Shahas of Kabob and both are good, but they are not affiliated with the hotel. I stayed 3 nights prior to my cruise and I really enjoyed my stay. The air conditioner worked with no issues, pillows are very soft, bed was firm, but not uncomfortable and I slept better in that bed, than my own. There is a master light switch to control the overhead light in the entry and bathroom. You can operate them separately (it just takes some flipping of lights to figure it out). Decent water pressure and nice, hot water at night. Morning time I suggest getting your shower in early. Hot water is still present but not as hot as it was the night before. Tip- I took my shower at 5/6am the morning of checkout and the water was hot and perfect for a nice shower before leaving for cruise. Staff was always smiling, friendly and willing to assist. Carlos at the concerige desk is very helpful, ask for his recommendations and he is more than happy to assist. The 7th floor has the laundry facility, but many machines were out of order. This is going on my pre cruise hotel list because it was the perfect hotel and the perfect location. It was about a 15min ride to the cruise port and airport. The cruise port ride was booked for 8am, so I beat the 9am bumper car cruise port traffic. The video I posted is short and quick, but a glimpse of the room

The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!
