This is a great Holiday Inn Express. Better then all the others that are like this in the area. Does need a little love and care with maintenance here and there. But all the hotels like this are full Mon to Friday with construction workers. I was there from Thursday to Monday. It's was very quiet. Everyone that works there is really nice. The breakfast is good. It lost one star from me because in my bathroom there was tile that was a loose & not stuck to the wall, which is why I say it needs a little tender loving care here and there. But I will stay here again when I am in town ! They have 24hr coffee bar ! read more

The Holiday Inn Express in Lancaster is very clean and comfortable. The people who work there are extremely helpful and friendly. Parking was safe. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast was decent, although not the best we have had. There are quite a few choices, so you can find something to eat. Came here for a short 1 night stay for soccer. Yes, it was 107 this weekend, and I have to say, The ac was working great. We stayed on the first floor. And it was a basic room with 2 queen beds. The room was cleaned, had a microwave, and a mini fridge. The fridge wasn't working too well, but we put some perishables in the freezer part, and they stayed cold. The beds did have a damp feel to the sheets, but maybe because the ac was running full blast. This place does have a 1 washer and dryer. They offer breakfast in the morning and have snacks for purchase. I would recommend this place if you are looking for an inexpensive quick stop. read more

This place was absolutely horrible. The only good thing was the maintenance man he worked mid shift on Monday 8-25-25. Black male. Didn't catch his name but he was amazing and so helpful. So first we get to our room, 212. Both tvs don't work. One tv is missing hdmi cable. Called front desk. Waited 20 minutes after calling twice before they answered. Then we get ready for bed. No extra sheets. Call front desk, again. Wait over 10 minutes before they answered then they tell us there's extra sheets in the drawers. There aren't. So they bring us some. Then I call in the morning to do a late check out. Phone rings for 5 minutes before answering. Then they ask me to hold. After waiting 13 minutes I hung up. Absolutely horrible. Crappy service. I called front desk for me and I friend . I get to the hotel and my room is not available and they're all booked. . The desk service was helpful as best as they can do but corporation didn't do anything to make this mistake go away . Offered me nothing. I needed up staying on a room with three people I work with . Me and my family checked in super late around 1:30 am and we both had clean and comfortable rooms/beds. My overall happiness this morning came from Jenny at the breakfast area for being so sweet (listened me jabber on) and making me feel comfortable getting breakfast for my family as they were in another room sleeping in (breakfast from 5am-9am). I tend to stick with holiday inns when traveling because I've always found the rooms to be pretty standard and nice enough. This particular location is no exception. It's no high-end hotel and pretty utilitarian, but the room is clean, quiet, fairly priced, and the furniture and style have clearly been updated/refurbished within the past 5 years. The beds were comfortable and the AC/Heater unit works well. The staff at this particular location were a bit "meh". Not very helpful, not exactly friendly, but not overtly rude either. With COVID they don't have breakfast but do have food to go. No one tells you, but you have to actually ask the front desk staff for this and they'll give you a brown bag of oatmeal and fruit. It's not advertised and not laid out for easy access, so I only found out when I saw someone getting it while trying to check out. Parking is easy and free right in front of the hotel. I arrived pretty late and there weren't all that many spots left weirdly enough. Most people parked really poorly and were taking 2 spots so that's probably why. read more

My family and I just stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Lancaster. We checked in with Aaron who was working the front desk. We opened the sofa bed where our children were going to sleep and found the mattress to the sofa sleeper soaked with a blood stain. We were in the room for less than 5 minutes. We immediately notified Aaron and showed him what we found. He got us a new room and said it was an "upgrade" but it wasnt because it was the same room just on a different floor. He stated he would notify his manager, Tiffany, who would be in the following day and she would be able to rectify the problem. The next day I spoke with Tiffany and she said she wanted to give us a refund but because we booked the room through Expedia she wouldn't be able to refund our money and would only be able to give us $50 off. Here's a business that has signs all over the place and in their rooms that pride themselves on the cleanliness of their establishment, especially during a pandemic, and they are allowing people like you and I to sleep in a dirty place like this for $180 a night. Stayed here in July due to my daughter having a softball tournament in the area and the limited rooms available landed us here. This was worse hotel experience stay ever. On our second night there, the room Next door was rented to some young people who were parting and smoking weed all night! The staff hadn't noticed so I had to call and eventually that room was cleared out. We got no sleep and the place smelled terrible. I called the hotel to ask to be comped for the inconvenience and all we were offered was "points" to use at a future stay. Needless to say we won't be going back. This hotel has not been maintained at all and whoever runs this location shows no pride in their work at all - the rooms are very worn down & have a bad smell. Our blinds were broken and wouldn't open. Carpeting was warped. We were with a big group and blocked a lot of rooms and everyone had same complaints about their rooms (one person claimed to have seen bugs of some sort). The elevator is down right sketchy. This has been a go to hotel for me for several years when I visit family in Lancaster. However, the last year or so each time I've stayed (at least three times) the elevator is out of order and we have to carry our bags up the stairs. This time, there were missing tiles in the bathroom, the water pressure was so hard it hurt, and the tub didn't drain. I notified the front desk and they sent "maintenance" while we were out. The next morning we need to get get ready for a family breakfast and the tub isn't draining. I notify them and they "send maintenance" again who pours something down the drain and says that if that doesn't work he will have to get the actual maintenance guy to snake the drain but that guy won't be there for an hour. I expressed that we needed to shower and get ready and he said they were sold out and likely couldn't move us. I called the front who said she would speak with her manager and call me back. The front desk called back and notified me they were sorry for the inconvenience, and they credited me some points, but they couldn't immediately move us to a new room. They could move us in a couple hours, and I told her that we had plans and would be leaving. She offered that maintenance could move our bags later when the room was ready and I declined. We packed our bags and left for the day, without showering, and I told the front desk we were taking our bags and they could go in during the day to try and fix the tub. Well, later in the night when we got back they had moved us to a new room and the tub did drain. The points they credited me though was only 500 which isn't even enough to cover a quarter of a night. The staff were all friendly and I don't blame them personally, but I expect more out of IHG and Holiday Inn properties with how long I've been giving them my business. Their standards and customer service seem to be getting worse, not better. A few months ago an IHG property gave me keys to someone else's room. Considering taking my business elsewhere. read more

Just checked out a moment ago, and was a little disappointed with the stay. The elevator was out, and I had to use the stairs, the refrigerator was making a loud noise all night, and even though it's small, the back of the remote control to the TV kept falling off. First of all, they don't mention anywhere on the site that the hotel is not dog friendly. When I checked in the guy said nothing about my pup or the $300 fee for bringing my dog. If we had known, we would not have stayed at this hotel. The room and bed wasn't bad and I was able to relax. That was until my daughter found a DEAD COCKROACH on the bathroom floor. But because I was already exhausted from traveling and dealing with a mild head cold, we just kept the room. Fast forward to check out, we tell the manager about the dead cockroach and she goes and informs us about the no dog rule and that there is a $300 fee. However, because of the cockroach, they would wave said fee.... Like for real? Didn't apologize or even try to make it better. Instead she found a loophole. We usually stay here whenever we end up having to stay in the area. They have a pool with no shade over it. They do have breakfast and are great about making sure there's enough food all the time. The rooms are a little dated but I don't think that matters too much. The rooms are comfortable. If you go with family they do have a suite with a separate living room area. I was downstairs and it had the worst smell in the world. I could not stand to walk in the room. The floor was damp and it smelled like mildew. I complained to the front desk and was given room spray. It didn't help. I eventually stayed with coworkers and when I complained as I left, the worker responded " we've had other guest complain too but we were told it was fixed." It obviously wasn't. I found out the sprinkler system leaks into the room. A person can get really sick in the bottom floor rooms. read more

I first want to say the reason why this rating is going Directly against "The Holiday Inn Express Lancaster " is because management had the discretion resolve the issue and simply choose not to. Ok... Booking.com told a complete lie in the confirmation given to me. To keep it very simple I booked a 2 Bedroom Suite and the property gave me a 1 bedroom. I go down to the front to explain there was a mistake and they told me I was in thier biggest room. I the asked for a refund which is at the discretion of the property (management) and was simply told no "its not our fault that they lied" lol!!! I still can't believe the level of unprofessionalism. I have now been on hold with booking.com for 10 minutes straight without being checked on as I try to get a place big enough for my family to sleep tonight (12:12am). thumbs down for everything. 10/10 on everything. Clean room, comfortable bed, plenty of counter space in the bathroom , good tasty breakfast . Plenty of parking space and the jets in the hot tub were so powerful. I normally have hard time falling and staying asleep in hotel rooms but fell asleep fast and slept like a baby . The king size bed was extremely comfortable. Sheets are clean , pillows comfortable. There's no USB charger so you might wanna bring the adapter to charge your phone. Bathroom was spacious and clean with plenty of counter space for my makeup and hair stuff. Plenty of clean towels and I like having a tub in the bathroom. I like taking baths:) There's a good size fridge and a microwave in the tv cabinet. And the pretty good size closet next to the bathroom but not inside the bathroom which I like . An iron and the iron board inside the closet. Good selection of breakfast which they serve from 5:30 am - 9:30 am. The cinnamon rolls were delicious, soft , gooey. They had toasts , bagels , English muffins , bacons , egg and sausage breakfast burrito, tea , coffee , hot chocolate , juices , milk , cereal , yogurt , oatmeal... Had relaxing time in the hot tub with good jets. Overall, we had a very nice pleasant stay for a reasonable price. read more

Absolutely recommend to stay at this hotel! After having a very bad experience at another hotel on the other side of town I came here. They have great customer service! Their WIFi works!!! They also offer complimentary breakfast (a good variety). The room I stayed was nice and always clean. I checked in Wednesday at around 8 pm. We have stayed a number of times, and find the accommodations adequate. My displeasure on our most recent 2-night stay was the lack of attention given to a personal item left in the room on check out. I called the following day to inquire if it had been found and was told they would check and call me back. No call. We stayed one night only last night. I paid almost $170. The room had no character at all. Nothing special. Yes it had a tv, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. It was relatively comfortable except for the feather pillows, not a fan because they don't support my neck very well. It was clean, but not gorgeous or beautiful. NOT worth the money. Palmdale/Lancaster has really gone overboard on their prices for standard hotel rooms. I think this is the last time we'll be booking a room up there. Very comfortable and clean place. We stayed here for a week in the autumn. Most of the staff was nice. There was one of them that didn't look up from what she was doing to acknowledge us when we were checking in, but the rest of the staff always said hello as when came and went throughout the week. We pressed them a couple of times for popular places to eat that we should try while in town. They had a great open lobby with computers, sofas, and a breakfast area. The night before our stay I realized I had not switched hotels and ended up staying here. Very nice hotel and room, close to fuel & dining options and clean room! Staff was also very friendly. The only thing was the elevator was down and had been for sometime. Thankfully this was not an issue for us since we were placed on first floor. The IHG brand does need to resolve that one issue because this is a nice place. read more

What a disaster. From the moment we checked in everything went from bad to worse here. As others have said in prior reviews there are 2 main problems at this location. 1- Poor customer service at the front desk. Keoni was rude and condesending. He needs to be taught that Older customers need to be treated with a little more patience. 2- The room was a mess, short cuts in the changing of sheets, hairs in bathtub, lack of toilet paper. Loud doors that you will hear slam everytime they are used. The housekeeping staff plays loud music when changing rooms also. We would have changed to a different property, however, Lancaster can sell out quick midweek. Lesson learned for the future though. We will not deal with rude/lack of service again. read more

I was very disappointed in my stay at this hotel. Upon arriving, there was some sort of pool party going on. There were at least 40 adults and children in the pool. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful. On our way up the elevator took forever to get to the second floor. It was very loud almost as if we were going to get stuck. The hallway had a very bad odor. We got to our room and the door was propped open. The bathroom smelled so bad like a dirty mop that we could barely go in there. The linens also had an odor to them. BED BUGS!! As soon as I walked in and turned on the heater it smelled really bad. I still stuck around giving the hotel the another chance and not thinking it was a dirty place to stay in. After I took a shower I was about to lay in the bed and as I pulled the cover I noticed a small red bug crawling! It was a bed bug!! I went to the front desk and showed them pictures of what's on my bed! I was offered a roll away bed to stay in the same room where the bed bugs were found. The next morning I asked if I was getting a room change they said no and treated me like if I had brought those bugs myself ( FYI I've never in my life seen one of those bugs) so they decided to terminate my reservation I had for two weeks and said we will call our pest control contractor to see if there really is bed bugs and basically go look for another hotel for the rest of your stay in Lancaster. read more

Booking with Holiday Inn Express of Lancaster, CA was a huge mistake. I had to cancel and tried weeks prior to my reservation. They punted originally. Finally, a handful of days before, I was able to cancel over the phone with the front desk and they confirmed TWICE that my reservation was CANCELLED for an upcoming weekend. Months later, no refund and they are trying to tell me that they never had any of these conversations. Worst customer service of 2021. I was planning to try this hotel again but Nope. Great service from Tiffany today. Really warm service. You can stay anywhere butI think when a staff member goes that extra mile you have a duty to share your experience. We live two hours away, only in town for a powerlifting event, after a commute through traffic she was a breath of fresh air. Kind and eager to share the highlights of the town in which she works. She recommended places to go and The Blvd was a great option for a meal, and staying in a clean hotel with personable employees is just the best. Well let me start off positive. The young lady Tiffany who checked me in was amazing and beyond nice and helpful. That was the only bright star on this stay. So I checked in on Thursday in the late afternoon. Walking into the room the White comforter had stains on them as well as the pillow case. Later that night I Went out with some friends came back to the hotel to wake up to someone broke into my car and took pretty much everything. When I contacted the manager of the hotel her voicemail was full. I was then told to contact the Lancaster police who said they would be out Friday at some point. Waited all day to wake up to a phone call at 6:18 am saying they are here and wanted to speak to me . No one from the hotel ever contacted me to ask what was stolen or that the video showed someone breaking into my suv. I was beyond happy to leave and go back home because this stay was beyond horrible. I'm still waiting for a phone from upper management/ corporate.. read more

I've been trying to get ahold of her since February 20, to try and clear up a situation with one of our employees that stayed there. The only thing the toilet in that room flushed away was my sex life. It was completely incapable of flushing. We had to get a toilet plunger twice cus it would fill with water but not complete the flush. Spent over an hour plunging at 2 am in fear of my boyfriend waking up & witnessing my shame. Only asked for 1 hour past normal checkout(which would have us out at noon) but Alex at from desk said that since we we were here for "soccer" that we couldn't have a late checkout. We did NOT make our reservation through soccer site and paid normal fees for room. I made that clear to them. Let's look at this logically folks, on a Friday or Saturday I might understand the need to ready rooms for the weekend but on a Sunday! Il. I'd bet this hotel is fairly empty for tonight. They can bet I'll be sharing this experience with other families attending the State Cup Soccer tournament and recommend they stay elsewhere where people ARE saying they are getting late checkouts. My favorite thing about this hotel was how empty it was. Which tempts me to write a bad review to help ensure a lack of future business, but you know, ethics. Here's the Pro/Cons breakdown: Pros: -Price. I don't know what it is since my mother in law paid. Try and line that deal up if you can. -Lots o' channels on the TV. Beyond the basics. I mean Nick Jr and Disney XD? This is the height of luxury indeed. -Clean. Almost untrustworthy levels of cleans. It's like, what are you hiding from us Holiday Inn Express? Cons: -Fix the pancake maker guys. You don't have the waffle maker because of this pancake contraption, so when it's down, how am I supposed to get my daily syrup carbs? -Elevators. They're fine, my daughter just doesn't like elevators. That seems reason enough to get rid of them altogether. -Bottle opener not available at the front desk. Really guys? I vote for Bibles and bottle openers mandatory in every room. They go well together. -The City of Lancaster. I drive into the city and wonder to myself, "is there actually a God?" This city is the face of depression. This hotel, though great, should probably shutdown so as to ensure no future visits or boost of economy in Lancaster.
