Roach on bathroom wall - other roaches scrambled quick - room 311
    Nikki L.

There were roaches in our hotel room #311, crawling on the bathroom walls. The staff was very accommodating and canceled our room immediately. We decided to drive back home to Mammoth instead of looking for another hotel. So gross. Really glad we saw them in the first 10 minutes of checking in. I'd be careful eating food from here.

So our first foray into pandemic hotel stays (not at this one) was a total disaster from a cleanliness standpoint. We were quite frankly reluctant but needed to travel to Lancaster, we booked a stay at this Hampton Inn. I arrived late and was immediately greeted by Dion. Dion was fantastic and all effort should be made by this hotel to keep him on the staff. Friendly, personable, quick and competent. After checking in and as I was moving luggage from my car to my room he would always buzz the the door so I did not have to put my stuff down. That kind of attention to detail is really appreciated after an 8 hour drive. The room was quite large, and despite my nurse level wipe-down, was spotlessly clean. The rest of the staff was also on point and it was a great stay.

I've always liked Hampton Inn, mainly because their beds are so comfortable. The decor makes you feel at home, like you're staying in a stylish friend's guest bedroom rather than a hotel. Maybe that's why I always I sleep well when I'm at a Hampton Inn. So when I decided to book a hotel in Lancaster so that I wouldn't have to drive home after a birthday bash, Hampton Inn was the obvious choice. The room was cozy, comfy and relaxing. Super clean, with plenty of hot water, and plenty of towels. Breakfast was included but was very limited for a vegan. Coffee, decaf, hot chocolate and teas are available 24 hours in the lobby. Usual array of cable channels on the tube. Service was nice; I got there an hour before check-in, was told my room wasn't ready yet, but 20 minutes later they told me it was good to go. Thoughtful! There is a small gym and an indoor pool. Free parking and Wi-Fi. I explored various online booking sites but ended up calling the hotel directly and got a much better rate using my AAA number. I'd suggest you do the same.

Roaches! This was just a couple of the roaches we dealt with during our stay.

We stayed here a couple weekends ago and had several issues in both of the rooms we reserved. One room had issues with the A/C, and the TV didn't work. The manager, Cynthia, did move us to another room, but that room also didn't have any curtains to block out the sun... in THE DESERT! The second room had roaches! We first saw them the night we checked in, and more the next day! After speaking to the manager again that next morning, she told us she'd look into the issues in both rooms and get back to me. When I finally spoke to her, she told me that she spoke to the cleaning staff and "they all decided" to give me a WHOPPING $11.00 credit for the inconvenience, and 2000 HH points, which is NOTHING!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Stayed here previously, my go to spot when I am in town for work. The price is affordable and the location is convenient. The rooms are a little older, but not too bad. It is across the street from a minor baseball team (if only they were playing!). The staff are friendly. The gym is limited to options with broken equipment/missing weights/no towels - would recommend updating that.

indoor pool only - not hot tub and closes at 10pm

No reasoning with them either, they just said oh well management is charging you. AVOID THIS HOTEL**** Work brought me to Lancaster and got to stay at this hotel for 14 nights and I must say that location is the best part of this hotel. The second best thing is how modern and new this hotel is. It was defenitly better than what I expected. Plus, there's a Starbucks right next door which is a major plus. Reasonable price for all the amenities you recieve. Rooms are super nice and spacious. Loved the full kitchen and how everything was designed/set up. Bathroom was super spacious. The bed was super comfortable. Only negative thing is they charge $10 a night for parking yet my employee's Honda got broken into and they tried stealing it with "security" patrolling the lot. Thankfully the thief couldn't start the car. No cameras apperently in parking lot either. That's really the only negative of this place.

When we arrived in the room, it was a little warm, being that it was such a hot day. I wish we would have walked into a cooler room, but we quickly changed that. I noticed two minor dents in the wall and on the bathroom door corner. I immediately took pictures. Overall, the room was super clean. The mini kitchen was adorable. I have one little issue and that is the bed. The mattress where I laid was really sunken in and to me was not comfortable. It was a nice location and we felt safe. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Totally fine and what you would expect. Where things fell short for me was comfort and service. The first night, I requested two extra blankets (one for me and one for my husband) and was told they only had one available. I was given that one, but ended up cold and didn't sleep well. The next day, I asked again and it felt oddly interrogated, like I needed to justify why I wanted a second blanket. It was a weird experience. I promise I was not trying to construct a blanket fort...I just wanted to be warm and sleep comfortably. There was also no blow dryer in the room, which surprised me. After already feeling weird about the blanket situation, It was awkward to go back down and ask for that too. Then early Sunday morning a group was setting up in the meeting room they have directly across from our room. There was loud hallway traffic, people socializing right outside our door, the back door to the hotel propped open and people coming in and out, with equipment being dragged in, which made it pretty impossible to sleep. I understand events happen, but placing guests directly across from early morning setup felt avoidable. Overall, the property was clean, but the stay was not restful, and that is ultimately what I am paying for. I do not think I would choose this location again.

It's called "States" it's huge weekends for softball players. The best of the best come out from different cities to compete. Our city alone brought about 80 people here. Players, siblings, grandparents, parents. 22-24 different families. Only 2 families had their personal issues here, and those odds are not bad! The kids LOVED it here! I'm sorry you are not gonna get peace and quiet until about 1030-11pm. Kids were playing hide and seek, ding dong ditch. It's annoying for the moment, but when are kids gonna make those memories. They play their heart out all day and deserve it. So chill out! The food was great! Unlimited waffles are huge with the kids. As far as breakfast, just be nice and go to the front desk, and they'll accommodate you another ticket. They have burritos to go for all the early birds, toast, oatmeal, and cereal. 3-4 self-serve juices. They give complimentary drinks 1 per person. A small bar area! Yes, the pool is crowded, but if they were to try to crowd control!! Imagine how many people would be pissed! The only ones that ruin it are the drinking adults that can't control themselves. They have 2 bbqs, propane filled and ready to use. Restrooms and tvs in dining area. If you're worried about noise stay away from 1st floor and balcony rooms.

I was pleasantly surprised at how updated and cute the hotel is. It's like a little baby apartment. Let's start with the good cause who doesn't like the good stuff, right? Upon entering the hotel you are greeted with a cute listing area in cause there's a line at registration.(thoughtful) but then there's the cutest little doggie area cause they allow pets here! Yeah for all those that travel with their fur babies. (Pic included) Then there's a larger guest eating area that include's a TV and fireplace. I noticed approx 30 tables so they can host quite a few families at a time for breakfast. Now I did touch and sit in or on every chair bench and stool. A few of them I didn't like they weren't that easy for smaller hands to grasp for moving and they are quite heavy which for kids, elderly or handicapped may have a bit of issue moving them, but also they are heavy so they'll last and won't easily break under a someone's heavyweight. Oh yeah did I forget to mention that breakfast is included! They offer a variety of items like oatmeal, waffles, fruits and other cold cereals. I seen eggs and sausage I think there was bacon as well. Outside area: They have included a pet area with at least 3 cleaning stations that all were filled with doggie bags and trash cans. They have a sister hotel on the grounds so parking shouldn't be an issue. They offer a parking permit for guests I seen a security guard walk and ride a cart around the property several times throughout the evening and night. I am unsure if this is a regular position or just temporary while they are remodeling, my hope is it's a permanent thing just because it's pretty dark and desolate with the other businesses mainly being day time traffic. They have a small pool, think of a big residential type which is fine (this isn't Vegas) depth ranged from 3.5-5.5 feet and that's really all that's need to cool off but what's nice is they included a lift so even a person with mobility issues can still enjoy. Now to the room. I love that they didn't go cheap. The amenities feel like someone said "make them feel at home" the cookware wasn't that cheap lightweight pot and pan it has weight it doesn't cook from raw to burnt and sticking like the .99$ store types do. The plates and silverware weren't so thin they break or bend in your hands. I think the only thing I didn't like in the room was the shower. And that is really because of the shower-head. I am just not a fan of the old fashioned fixed heads. It doesn't take in to account the height differences between male/female tall/short thin/heavy. I wish either two heads or removable shower-heads in all hotels that consider themselves a 3* or higher. And I thought the toilet paper roll wasn't in the best spot with the door open it's banging into the roll and I know it's my cra cra but it feels yucky like unsanitary icky. And I took a star for those two bathroom issues. I must admit this was a nice jewel to find in the area as I have stayed at another brand hotel out here 2x and this one far exceeded the luxury feeling for a regular buck scenario, and I appreciate it! Unfortunately I seem to be capped at 20 pics as I took about 40 so I can't show your the dinning arrange in room and the kitchen area with all those amenities
