My experience was both frustrating and great here. I'm going to focus only on the customer service. I did a rewards stay. I never want. E high maintenance but sometimes you need to ask for something. When I spoke to the night person while I was booking, I was preparing myself for a huge headache during the actual stay. The day of the stay I made a call and got Brandie. She was a gem. I'll just say this.... She gets it. I asked for something simple and she went above and beyond to make things easier that I could've ever expected them to be. We had a great stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Lancaster. Even though they were fully booked, the staff was kind enough to let us check in early. We brought our dog along, and they were very accommodating. He loved the little dog table with snacks, toys, and goodies! Our room was clean and comfortable, offering your standard hotel experience. The lobby has a small snack shop, though you do pay a bit of a convenience fee. Breakfast is served buffet style on the first floor, which was a nice perk. Most importantly, the staff was friendly and helpful at all hours. Their service really stood out and made our stay smooth and welcoming. read more

The front desk staff were friendly, but our overall experience was disappointing. Our room was not cleaned for multiple nights even after we asked the front desk several times. One night my friend found a bug in her bed, and we had to wake staff in the middle of the night to change the sheets. We also found a cockroach in the restroom. So our first foray into pandemic hotel stays (not at this one) was a total disaster from a cleanliness standpoint. We were quite frankly reluctant but needed to travel to Lancaster, we booked a stay at this Hampton Inn. I arrived late and was immediately greeted by Dion. Dion was fantastic and all effort should be made by this hotel to keep him on the staff. Friendly, personable, quick and competent. After checking in and as I was moving luggage from my car to my room he would always buzz the the door so I did not have to put my stuff down. That kind of attention to detail is really appreciated after an 8 hour drive. The room was quite large, and despite my nurse level wipe-down, was spotlessly clean. I've always liked Hampton Inn, mainly because their beds are so comfortable. The decor makes you feel at home, like you're staying in a stylish friend's guest bedroom rather than a hotel. Maybe that's why I always I sleep well when I'm at a Hampton Inn. So when I decided to book a hotel in Lancaster so that I wouldn't have to drive home after a birthday bash, Hampton Inn was the obvious choice. The room was cozy, comfy and relaxing. Super clean, with plenty of hot water, and plenty of towels. Breakfast was included but was very limited for a vegan. Coffee, decaf, hot chocolate and teas are available 24 hours in the lobby. Usual array of cable channels on the tube. Service was nice; I got there an hour before check-in, was told my room wasn't ready yet, but 20 minutes later they told me it was good to go. Thoughtful! There is a small gym and an indoor pool. Free parking and Wi-Fi. I explored various online booking sites but ended up calling the hotel directly and got a much better rate using my AAA number. I've been a Hilton Honors member for at least 15 years and when I travel usually try to book a Hilton property. Never stayed at this one but was in town for a convention that was close to here so booked this hotel. First off let me say the 'parking fee' is BS. There are plenty of parking spaces and lots more right across the street at the former Jethawks stadium so a parking fee isn't warranted at all. This hotel has been here for quite a few years and could use a freshing up real bad. The carpets in the hallways were probably nice at one point but now are just dingy and frankly kind of gross. The hotel staff is ok but not the most friendly. Our room was clean and ok but really this is probably one of the lowest overall Hilton properties I've stayed at. read more

"No Pool/No Hot Breakfast/No Housekeeping. Now, Pay us $10 for Parking." And so the weary traveler is greeted upon check-in. To be fair, these are special times that require special measures. I understand why the pool is not open, and the gym as well. But no housekeeping? It's sort of reminds me of that saying, "Bus your own tables" at some cafeterias. I was surprised, and a little annoyed, that they charge $10 for parking. I can't recall ever having to pay for parking, other than at high-density urban areas. The nice desk clerk confided the government people don't have to pay that. Oh well, it was still a good deal, even with the $10 extra. They have special parking spaces for Diamond members. I don't know exactly how to join that club, but I'm pretty sure I must already be a member. I can also confirm that my giant Cadillac SUV rental fits nicely in those slots. So I guess I did get something for my $10 after all. I'm pretty sure that "No Housekeeping" sign means "during your stay." I'm pretty sure they do actually clean the rooms between guests. The room here was just as expected. Nothing special. It was clean, and all the appliances worked fine. Honestly, there is nothing worth mentioning in the room. On the plus side, the staff here were very friendly to me. Several recommended some good beer breweries. These turned out to be excellent recommendations, and I enjoyed visiting Lucky Luke Brewery three times. That got them an extra Star right there. The dining room is closed because of the crisis, but they prepare little breakfast to-go bags. Each bag includes bottled water as well as some pastries and fruit. I gave one of my bags to a nice homeless man who was hungry. So overall, a pretty good visit. It's tough to evaluate businesses during these unusual times. We stayed here a couple weekends ago and had several issues in both of the rooms we reserved. One room had issues with the A/C, and the TV didn't work. The manager, Cynthia, did move us to another room, but that room also didn't have any curtains to block out the sun... in THE DESERT! The second room had roaches! We first saw them the night we checked in, and more the next day! After speaking to the manager again that next morning, she told us she'd look into the issues in both rooms and get back to me. When I finally spoke to her, she told me that she spoke to the cleaning staff and "they all decided" to give me a WHOPPING $11.00 credit for the inconvenience, and 2000 HH points, which is NOTHING!! Stayed here previously, my go to spot when I am in town for work. The price is affordable and the location is convenient. The rooms are a little older, but not too bad. It is across the street from a minor baseball team (if only they were playing!). The staff are friendly. Called corporate and the lady confirmed the amount the man said was right but the front desk said she will tell general manager to change it DO NOT STAY HERE I walked in to book the gentleman was charging us $185 which was $140 for the room plus incidentals which is standard....at which point a lady came from the back who identified as the manger (rolled her eyes) and said that's actually not the right amount you need to add $150 to that (which is more than the room cost) and began to make a snarky comment at which point I just walked out!!! Stayed here one night and Jimmy checked us in fast, had our keycard in no time at all. Plenty of parking and very convenient to the 14 Freeway. Stayed on the second floor near the elevator and it wasn't noisy at all. Room and bathroom was clean and it came with a fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. They offer complimentary breakfast but decided to sleep in instead, next time I will wake up early. Bed was extremely comfortable and the hot water in the shower was plenty. Hope to stay again next time I find myself visiting the antelope valley. read more

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member and have been staying at this Hampton Inn or the Homewood Suites next door for the last 15+ years. I have never experienced the problems that I had this week in the last 15+ years here in Lancaster. I was going to comment on the wear and stains I saw on some of the chairs and wallpaper in the rooms, but I was going to let it go - until I had the bugs that started crawling on me in bed the late evening of the 25th in Room 318. I was initially placed in Room 319, until I found that the window had no curtains to close. There was a bracket in the window, but no curtains in the bracket to close. I was then moved to Room 318 - until the late evening when I had the bugs crawling on me in bed. It seemed that the bugs were in the pillow(s) from what I could see before squishing about four (4) of them and calling the front desk. I was moved to Room 320, but I found the ironing board up in the middle of the room and the bathroom clearly used/not clean with towels on the floor. I was finally moved to Room 317 where I was finally able to get a couple of hours of sleep after I thoroughly inspected the bed and pillows with a bright flashlight. Very sorry to see my "home away from home" in such a state of disarray. With so many new hotels in the area, it's likely they will be among my first choices going forward. Even though I was told all these issues would be put into the nightly report, I was sadly still not contacted by the manager. I do work for one of the major aerospace companies in the Valley and I will be sharing my experience with my peers and Customers. (I had to fumigate my luggage and dry clean all my clothes before I set foot back in my home for fear that I had crawling hitchhikers...). read more

They even asked me to give proof of why I was cancelling my booking. Unfortunately, Cynthia (the manager) is not very helpful. I've stayed here multiple times and have never been charged for parking. On my last stay, they billed me for parking. I explained that the trainee who checked me in didn't mention anything about a parking charge. The sales team agreed to remove the charge, a few days after my stay, and said it would take about 7-10 business days. After 10 business days the charge was never removed. Rather than removing the charge she said to just dispute it. She felt a parking fee was more important than keeping a loyal customer. Very disappointed. read more

This would get a 1 star if I could. I am a Hilton Diamond member so stay with them often. Not only do they charge for parking at an open lot where they should definitely NOT and never have until their new so called management came in on July of 2019. I was locked IN a room for 20 minutes. 20 MINUTES!!! I have never in my life been treated so poorly. The deadbolt completely died and I could not get out. My son suffers from panic attacks and has a service animal because they do get so bad and he literally was ready to jump out of the window and the dog was going crazy trying to calm him down. They had to get maintenance to break the door open. They literally gave me a bottle of water and had me leave. That's is ALL. I called the diamond desk and they issued a complaint and not even so much as an I'm sorry from the management of this property. Nothing has been done by the property to rectify the situation but they surely took their money from my account promptly. No one should ever come to this property. Breakfast is a joke! They had a single 4-slice toaster. The second day we were there, one side of it quit working. We were there 7 weeks while our home was being renovated and the toaster was never replaced! The only milk they had was in a pitcher for cereal...sitting out on the counter. Not cold. The ice cream in there "store" was barely cold enough to stay on the stick if you ate it quickly! Other than the housekeeping staff (earning a tip of course) people there are not friendly. Again, we are a family of 3 staying in a studio suite for 7 weeks. We asked about some sort of discount and were told a hard no. Ok. The bathroom light went out late one night, called the desk and we were told no one was there that could replace it until the next day. Kind of hard to shower/shave in the semi dark. We have stayed at many Hampton's across the country and this was by far the worst. Plus the area is a ghetto! There are a lot of homeless walking through the property and nearby. Overall very good stay. Very clean hotel, in a very quiet area (Ave I by JetHawks Stadium). The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The furniture and decor is somewhat dated, the carpets are horrendously ugly. The indoor pool is very nice. There is lots of parking, I agree with other reviewers the $15 charge per night is ridiculous and there is plenty of parking. (The were also out of parking passes when we went but still charged the $15 per night??). There is a small fridge (no freezer portion), coffeemaker and microwave. It is conveniently located to Dutch Bros coffee, Vallarta, several stores and fast food restaurants. The area around it is nicely landscaped and feels very private, but has quick access to the freeway. There were very few outlets and no USB ports, so make sure to bring your wall charging components. My Dad and I had to stay in Lancaster on January 18, 2009 to attend his Step Fathers Funeral. After some long research to find a decent place to stay in Lancaster (cause there ain't many), I opted for the familiar Hilton brand name. Since the hotel recently opened, finding it was a bit of a challenge. Had I know it was directly across from the Lancaster Jethawks baseball field, I would have had plugged it into the GPS rather than drive around like Ray Charles. Once we arrived at the hotel, we made our way to our room and put our bags down. I then headed for a walk-about of the property to check it things out. Being a new place, the hotel is extremely clean and smells great. The hotel sits directly across from the Jethawks stadium and the property is shared by another hotel which, I don't recall the name of. And even with the 14 freeway being within 200 feet of the hotel, the noise is mute. Food and shopping can be found within walking distance on Mall Loop Road, which is literately behind the hotel. My Dad and I walked around the corner and met some family members at the Black Angus. Walking time; 3 minutes. Being a Hilton property, the hotel offers the standard good start breakfast. The next before heading out, my dad and I enjoyed scrambled eggs, waffles and some fresh fruit. The last time I checked, Trip Advisor and AAA listed this hotel as #2 of 18 for the best in Lancaster. read more

We went to Lancaster for Calsouth State Cup and stayed at this hotel. The room was huge with all the necessary amenities like microwave, kitchen sink etc. The room was clean and service in check in was quick. Breakfast was decent but my favorites was not there like bacon or biscuits and gravy (all hotels has their own variations anyways). Just stayed there 1 night while we were in town for a soccer tournament. The suite rooms are spacious with a desk area and couch. However, we had a few issues I must mention. The first is i found a roach crawling on the bathroom floor, this is disgusting as now I'm worried about any others that may have crawled into our luggage. The breakfast was gross, and when we arrived at 9:15am they were out of most items by then and hadn't restocked. The elevator broke down the day we were checking out and so we had to carry luggage, coolers, etc all downstairs 3 flights! Lastly we were told we could use the sister property grill area, only 1 grill was working but was taken. The other grill was broken. Horrible experience!! Booked my room a week before a scheduled power outage in my area. I am a senior citizen and felt it would be unsafe to be alone without heat and lights all night. I checked in the day before, on line, and said that I would be there at 4. I arrived around 4:10 and the clerk asked if my stay was work related. I told her no. She then informed me that she could not rent the room to me. They were only renting to those who were renting for work. She said to go to the Best Western down the street. I drove to the Best Western and they were fully booked. I, with the help of my daughter, found a place in Palmdale at double what I was going to pay. read more
