We enjoyed another stay here at Oxford. Yes, it was packed, but I don't think people understand the events that happen here in June. It's called "States" it's huge weekends for softball players. The best of the best come out from different cities to compete. Our city alone brought about 80 people here. Players, siblings, grandparents, parents. 22-24 different families. Only 2 families had their personal issues here, and those odds are not bad! The kids LOVED it here! I'm sorry you are not gonna get peace and quiet until about 1030-11pm. Kids were playing hide and seek, ding dong ditch. It's annoying for the moment, but when are kids gonna make those memories. They play their heart out all day and deserve it. So chill out! The food was great! Unlimited waffles are huge with the kids. As far as breakfast, just be nice and go to the front desk, and they'll accommodate you another ticket. They have burritos to go for all the early birds, toast, oatmeal, and cereal. 3-4 self-serve juices. They give complimentary drinks 1 per person. A small bar area! Yes, the pool is crowded, but if they were to try to crowd control!! Imagine how many people would be pissed! The only ones that ruin it are the drinking adults that can't control themselves. They have 2 bbqs, propane filled and ready to use. Restrooms and tvs in dining area. If you're worried about noise stay away from 1st floor and balcony rooms. read more

Update: Our second day here was not great. They failed to do any crowd control on the pool Saturday, which had a posted capacity of 32. There were far more than 32 people in it on Saturday so the water looked gross on Sunday. So gross that the filters were clogged (we were told by hotel staff). A man told us he would need about 3 hours to clean it, so we waited. Something must have been broken because they never finished the job that day. The whole point of our stay here was to go swimming and escape the heat and we did not get to do that on our second and final day here. We had an extended stay suite with a pool view on a hot weekend of 115°. The pool was poppin all Saturday afternoon and beyond until closing time at 10pm, but the sliding glass door of our balcony had incredible noise-canceling power, so our room was quiet. We visited the pool and noticed not many lounge chairs. Also missing were umbrellas for the chairs, which I was expecting due to the photos provided on booking dot com. The sun could be brutal without that shade, so bringing your own shade to the pool is wise. There is a fairly large grill out there if you wanna bbq. The complimentary "breakfast buffet" is not exactly that. You can make as many waffles, bowls of cereal, and cups of coffee as you want but a lady will serve you bacon, potatoes, and eggs when she takes your ticket. I don't think you're allowed to go up and get more from her. It was a small portion. We did not partake in the complimentary dinner as it did not look appetizing (Salisbury steak and veg). Bed was comfortable. Large microwave and fridge in room were useful. And most importantly, everything was clean and in working order. Except the pool. read more

The amount of weed smell my kids were exposed to for a softball tournament is unacceptable. Whether it was the bottom floor or my room floor, weed smell was everywhere. So much for a non smoking hotel. Finally, the my bathroom tub was clogged. This is not what I want to deal with on a summer night when we just want a shower. Stayed here in-between a road trip. First of all, I want to note that I was a female traveling alone and I felt extremely comfortable and safe at this hotel. The room was very clean and affordable, and the room even came with a complimentary drink, "savory snack" and breakfast. When I went to claim my free drink and snack, it turns out the snack was chicken Alfredo which was a pleasant surprise! Also, I've had A LOT of hotel breakfasts, but this one was one of the best! They had a hot grill with options of a burrito or breakfast plate, and they were even cooking your eggs to order. My mom had an emergency medical issue and we are here at this hotel for a month, paying almost $5000 and we are getting zero peace. Let's not forget that we frequently smell marijuana and cigarettes in the hallways and elevators. We were told housekeeping would only come by Wednesdays. When they didn't show up, I called and they said they would come by the next morning. We left for the whole morning and they never showed. The next day they finally came and we had to sit in the hallway. The breakfast is okay. Nothing to write home about. Beds are comfortable, sofa beds are atrocious. If we hadn't been in a bind, I would have chosen more wisely. read more

After the fire on Father's Day weekend my family and I had to stay at a hotel for a night. We walked in that night and Deanette helped us book a room. She was so friendly and her customer service was great! She gave us breakfast tickets and let us know we could get a complimentary breakfast in the morning. We were all pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Once we got home we realized we would need to spend some more time elsewhere. We immediately decided to go back to Oxford because of the friendliness and positive attitude Deanette displayed. She was so empathetic to our circumstances and really made us feel welcomed. We were there practically a week and every time we talked to her she was so nice. My family and I definitely plan to go back in a near future. read more

The breakfast was cooked in the morning by a chef but couldn't have seconds since it was per ticket base. Met a couple of people there that seemed to be regulars at the hotel. When I find a very soiled construction safety vest, from a prior guest, hanging in the closet and the bathroom floor tile looks dingy, I wonder how well they clean. The hair conditioner does not pump. What irritates me is the breakfast cook tells me loudly in front of many guests, that it is only one breakfast burrito per guest, when I ask for two somewhat small burritos. Perhaps she could find time to put out the PAM nonstick spray, so the self serve waffle maker does not stick so bad. Hmm, Does she wonder why I did not put money in her tip jar? The reason this gets two, rather than one stars is the registration staff is very helpful. Overall the place is ok. The elevator is indeed slow and creeks as another pointed out. Clean rooms, soft beds, good pillows, great water pressure for sink and shower, good smelling soaps and conditioners, AND BEST OF ALL full hot breakfast!!! EXTERRIOR : It's not the best looking hotel. LOBBY : Nice, cute and small little lounge with the front desk, bar and cafe in the front. CHECK IN/CHECK OUT : Regular check in hours is 4pm to 11pm. They have early check in for $15 extra. I called them the day before and they said that the earliest that i can check in is 6am. Checking in before 6am will be consider the day before. I arrived around 5am and was able to check in for one day stay and early check in. I was really happy with their service. BREAKFAST : Service was not that great. There was a lady there. I believe she's hispanic. She seems to be not really friendly and hurry you up to order. She doesn't smile or doesn't seem happy. Her voice tone is very loud like she's shouting at you. Im not sure if that's just how she is but she gets along with others. I was not satisfied with my service. She makes me feel hurried and nervous. They give you a breakfast ticket. You can only get 1 TIME VISIT at the cooked buffet area. They also have fruit parfaits bar, cereal, DIY waffle, juice station, and bread/beagle station. ELEVATOR/HALLWAY : The elevator is scary and slow. It looks like its going to break or stop working lol. I was pretty paranoid at their old elevator. Hallway is long and lightly lit. They have vending machine on each floor down the hall somewhere. ROOM : The receptionist said their is a special price for AAA discount. I had AAA special discount and is not sure whats the difference from the regular price but I got a room on 3rd floor by the exit stair. The exit stair door is annoying. It makes a loud slam noise each time people use it. The room is fair. Nice and clean but a little out dated furniture and interior design. I just realize that they dont have q-tips, ice bucket and room service (like ordering food downstair). I took a shower and realize how nasty and dirty is the shower drain. The drain is all gunky and grey. The water drains very slow. They do have towls, tissue hand soap, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, coffee maker, coffee packet, tea packet, condiments (sugar, splenda, equal etc), 2 mint suckers, cups, alarm clock, tv, dvd player, microwave, little fridge, a table, iron rack, an iron, hair blow dryer etc. They have a ice machine and drinks vending machine on each floor lvl down the hall somewhere. OVERALL : It was an okay experince but i wouldn't come back. Im expecting something a bit better. I want a better breakfast service because breakfast starts the day. I dont want my morning to be ruined by just trying to get my breakfast fix. Its called a buffet and i couldnt get a choice of having more of something that i want to eat. Good: Nice location right off the freeway that was convenient. Close to soccer complex, which is why we were there. Room was nice size, comfy bed, nice coffee maker, big shower. Two free drink tickets per person - woohoo!! That was a very nice touch. Also included a dinner (plate of pasta with some alfredo sauce and chicken chunks and a piece of buttered bread). Breakfast was nice - good coffee, juice, hot meals and other side dishes. Bad: I was charged $10 for checking in early! How tacky is that? I have never been charged at a hotel to check-in early. Either the hotel says no, sorry your room is not ready or they say yes, no problem. I had my child with me and she needed to change and get ready so I agreed. The smell - it was pretty gross throughout the hallways (I was on 4th floor) and in the room. Good little 6 story hotel for business travelers to the palmdale/lancaster area. For $102 a night, it was a decent place to stay. I did not have to worry about my car being broken into as they stationed me toward the place my car can be parked and I can look out at it via my window. They're real responsive if you text them after you check in (they give you a text number). Breakfast: The breakfast burrito was just eggs some hash browns make sure to grab yourself some hot sauce or ketchup and a couple of orange juices and one of those muffins if you're trying to get full. The room itself was okay it served its purpose nothing too dirty or dingy bed was fine shower clean sink was clean as well the little refrigerator does Buzz throughout the night so get ready for that although it didn't stop me. Just last night, I was visiting from San Jose to attend my cousin's wedding in Lancaster. I am not familiar with that area at all, so I decided to go on Priceline to find a hotel room. I ended up reserving a studio room and for the price I paid, I was pleasantly surprised. It was spacious, clean, decent TV and refrigerator. The reservation agents at the front desk were very welcoming and friendly. If I were to visit Lancaster again, I would stay at this hotel. This morning I took advantage of the free breakfast. It's not your typical continental breakfast... I had scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and some fruit. They had a huge selection of breakfast foods including: cereal, burritos, cottage cheese, muffins, breads, Pete's coffee, milk and a variety of teas. It's located in the same lot as Marie Calendars so parking, last night, was a little hectic. And lastly, when I turned the TV on for some reason I couldn't flip through the channels. I called down to the front desk and they sent someone up within 10 minutes to figure out the problem - prompt customer service!! I am impressed with the clean, quality and professional service I have received so far. I am writing this review as I am still in room #218. I made reservations on line which is user friendly. My two sons, myself , dog and cat were moving into the Oxford Suites. I sold my house and waiting for my new home to be ready to move in. I was greeted the moment I walked into the lobby by employees. Check-in was a breeze. Manager quickly made contact with me by a text on my cell phone asking if I needed any thing else to make my stay a pleasant visit. I thought that was cool. We are staying for over a week in the Oxford Suites and so far my family loves it. The morning breakfast in the lobby served a hot meal to go. Delicious! The cafeteria worker was very nice. The room is clean. NO BUGS OR ROACHES. BATHROOM IS SPOTLESS AND SANITIZED. My family has no complaints. Comfortable beds. This is home away from home. I will definitely return. read more

10/10 stay! Our little family stayed here for 9 days in the suite as we were visiting from out of state. Incredibly impressed by this hotel. Checkin was seamless and our room was extremely clean. The suite was perfect for our two little ones and they even had a crib ready in our room prior to our arrival as I had called to request one. This hotel provides daily breakfast that is included in your stay. And it's not your normal continental breakfast. They have a hot grill and you can order eggs how you want them. They had waffle maker, jogurt bar, toast and cereal. Extremely convienent every morning to be able to run downstairs with two kiddos and eat breakfast before starting our day. The hotel bar was top notch with good drinks! Mayra is the friendliest bar tender in town! They also provide dinner for guests which was so delicious! Especially the pasta Alfredo. Housekeeping was so accommodating and worked around our kids nap time. The housekeeper manager was so friendly and made sure to check in on us since we were staying for so long. Also their maintenance worked so fast! Day two we noticed a leak in the fridge and someone came up to replace it within 5 minutes! Pool and jacuzzi are a must visit! I recently officiated a wedding in Lancaster and needed a place to stay. After reading many reviews I went with this hotel and was not disappointed. They were able to get me into my room early which was wonderful because I just had back surgery and couldn't wait to hit the hot tub after my commute. The room was spacious and immaculate. I love the refillable toiletries because of how much waste it cuts down. I don't personally stay in hotels for the free soaps so I can certainly do without them to help save the planet. There are four breweries in the area, Transplants is the best, so take advantage of the shuttle service the hotel offers to get around the area safely. I have a super special shout out to Mark who shuttled me and my walker around. I didn't have any cash and felt like a jerk because I couldn't tip him but the desk staff said they read reviews and get credit for being mentioned so I'm doing that. You're wonderful, Mark, thank you, we really appreciated your help. They have a full breakfast, a bar, pool, business center to print at, really everything we expect in a city hotel without the city attitude. If I had a complaint, which I don't, but if you made me think of a con from my stay it would be that the hot tub is a couple degrees too cool for me. It's a nice and clean hotel . This is our second time staying here. They have heated pool and jacuzzi, it looks clean but we weren't able to try it coz it's too cold and windy outside. They serve breakfast and give free dinner too . Breakfast is better than any other place. They cook your eggs per order and add cheese if u want to with country potatoes and sausage link. I'm Not sure if they serve other kind of meats on other days. They have cereals and waffles and bread. Its not bad. The dinner was okay it's free but it's okay. The reason why I took one star out is because of the lady serving the dinner. She's kinda rude and had a little attitude when you ask questions like she own the the place or something. I am actually staying in this place right now and there are a few problems going on. First of all, the HVAC systems don't work correctly in the rooms which is a BIG problem for me personally because I need white noise and some kind of air movement to sleep properly. So if you stay here, bring your own fan. Second, the TVs have all the news channels in the rooms, but for some "unknown" reason, Fox News has no sound. Interesting and unsettling knowing that they are deciding which news I can watch. The people who work here seem cheerful and they do give free drinks, breakfast and dinner, so you got that going for you. Which is nice, but fix the fans, and fix the Fox News channel. read more

Spent two weeks here during the bobcat fire, I've been to many hotels and Inns, And this Has to be one of the nicest I've stayed at. The rooms are comfortable so was the bed we had a full kitchen and a separate living room area it was really nice. The staff was pleasant and always willing to help, every time I called the front desk and said I needed something they were at my door within five minutes. There are plenty of places to order around there for food and Marie calendars is right there in the parking lot which is a plus. And right across the street is a liquid bean Coffee shop that you can drive through that has the best coffee and smoothies. The hotel is definitely dated, the 24 hour security and location is a plus however. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, room was clean and WiFi worked well... free breakfast in the morning and washing on site. Overall for one night this place wasn't bad at all. The Big Con was the room smelled, a lot. Also the shared room door was paper thin so I had the pleasure of listening to the person nexts doors tv all night. I'm so glad I picked this hotel. I opted to call the hotel directly and Joanna booked my stay, she was very nice and helpful. My boyfriend is shooting a movie up here and it's a two hour drive home, so I thought it would be fun to come up and get a hotel for 2 nights. I didn't want to stay at some roach motel, but didn't want to pay too much money. At $104 a night, I think it's worth it. Location is good, close to the 14. There is a Marie Calendar's and a gas station in the same parking lot. Room was very clean. We got a pool view king. Room has a bed, night stands, dresser, desk. Hanging area near the bathroom. Room also has a mini (very mini) fridge and a microwave. They have a small area up front with some snacks. Mostly chips and cup of noodles... which can't be microwaved. I think there's hot water in the lobby but ended up just microwaving water in the coffee mugs and made it work, I forgot to grab a fork and called down to see if they had some downstairs, and the gentleman walked one up to the room for me. There is a hot made fresh breakfast which is amazing. Someone will cook your eggs to your liking, not some weird bagged egg and microwaved bacon nonsense. There's also oatmeal, cereal, bagels, toast, waffles, yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit, juice, coffee and so on. What surprised me the most is they also have a dinner. Hot pastrami with cole slaw, pickles and salad was our choice. Tasty! They also have a bar. Gym is decent. Free weight area, treadmill, elliptical, bike and a multi machine, and a sauna! As we finalized the booking what we thought was an early check in - wasn't we were allowed to check-in at 8:30am. The man behind the counter was so nice, he gave a little advise on future booking and check-ins, complimentary dinner, breakfast, and drinks! The room was clean, and we'll equipped with mini microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Also, there were no hidden upfront fees or deposit that was needed. The price is exactly what was expected! Disappointed in this hotel! Here in town for a softball tournament and booked Thurs-Sun. Not only did we have to put a noise complaint in because the hotel doesn't enforce the 10 pm quiet hours but the breakfast was disgusting. Called the front desk an hour ago to try and be able to check out on Saturday but was told we couldn't do that because I missed cancellation by an hour. Hotels here are letting others cancel due to understanding circumstances but this hotel won't let you without charging the FULL amount. We were even told if we have a sick family member and talking with a manager we'd still have to pay the full amount. Would of stayed at a different hotel but this one had some good reviews. BS!!! I have to say, I was very pleased with this hotel. Not only is this place pet friendly ( which really takes a load off my shoulders when I come to visit my family) but they gave me two complimentary drinks from the bar and for breakfast. Im not use to seeing a person actually cooking breakfast at a hotel instead of just setting it up. They have a nice atmosphere and pool. The bed was comfortable and clean. Enjoyed having a balcony! I will start staying here when I come to visit now. Hidden gem. read more
