Amazing people work here. The Front Desk crew is wonderful and very kind. Housekeeping is the Chef's Kiss here, Annette & Dalia are very meticulous at keeping the rooms looking sparkling clean. These ladies are an asset to Staybridge Suites. Been staying here since June due to a plumbing issue in our home. This place made it feel like home away from home. Water quality. During my stay, I noticed the water from the faucet smelled like toilet. After staying three days, I started to become sick with cold symptoms. The room I stayed in was in poor repair. The tiles were not secured to the floor. After returning home, I contracted a cold with cough and nasal. The cleanliness of the rooms was less than normal. Some surfaces were sticky throughout my week long stay. The rooms are large and laid out nicely. Unfortunate as I liked the place. read more

I am surprised by just how aggressive the manager Cassandra is at this property. I have 3 issues with this older Staybridge. 1. Extremely aggressive and abusive manager. Upon check in this property requires a credit or debit card and authorizes $25.00. This amount is to be released after check out. Not here though. The $25.00 was actually authorized and posted to my account. I called the property, and the employee was rude, aggressive and actually nasty. I explained my issue, and all she did was deny it. See my picture as proof. 2. This property does the exact same thing as the Holiday Inn in Hesperia. Both properties have extremely abusive managers that will not provide the name of the property owner, or franchisee. 3. The rooms smell of smoke(I have never smoked), the property is loud with people drinking outside, and the rooms are extremely old. I travel multiple times a month and this property is one of the worst. Rather than offering an apology, the managers reply was that I was a liar, that she did not charge my card. The charge is available for viewing within this review. As a Spire Ambassador (I pay $200.00 a year for the pleasure of being called a liar by Cassandra) What an aggressive, nasty, negative, dishonest human?. Look at the other reviews that complain about Cassandra. Also, I have 2 properties that I have listed on Airbnb with 5.0 stars from my guests. I know how hospitality works 6 years and counting. We've always stayed at this hotel in North Dakota but won't be taking our business with this chain hotel any longer. I booked a reservation online for 1 night yesterday and when we arrived, the lady at the desk began to check us in, then proceeded to inform us that we couldn't check in because the reservation was under my name and I needed to have a credit card and ID to present with my name and that she couldn't take my partners. I found it outrageous because we've always booked that way and never had any issues. I'd also like to mention that she was very rude about it. The way she responded to me with an attitude was not the way to go. I could've responded to her back with the same nasty attitude but my parents always taught me to treat others with respect and as upset as I could be, I would never be nasty to anyone. However, I'm very upset with the lack of treatment, and professionalism. She kept claiming it was "policy." If that's the case, I don't understand how I was able to book online then? They should put up some sort of disclaimer then if it's like the lady was claiming. Anywho, I won't be staying here any longer. If you want to be disappointed and have bad service stay here. I checked in for a break with my kids only to find a closed hot tub and a dirty pool. The management would not refund my money and would not let me cancel my stay. They did not tell me about the pool situation at check in. They would not provide a number for a manager and said they would get back to me on Monday (after my weekend that began on Friday). Editing my review to show the cockroach I found in my room. Management still won't do anything for me since I booked a prepaid/no refundable room. I had no intention of cancelling.... I'm here on business with my company and my stay is for 3 months. The room is decent and the cleaning staff does a good job and the staff at the front desk are nice and welcoming. However, when it comes to administrative issues this place has been an absolute night mare. I do not get the sense that the front desk associates know how to fix simple issues and the manager is never available to talk to. One week I incurred a small $5 fee for a damaged towel which is whatever but it went to my business card and I can't have that on my expense report because it creates issues. So I gave them my personal credit card and asked that IN THE FUTURE they charge my personal card for incidentals. The next week they charged my credit card for a weeks of stay charges. Not good. It's been 2 weeks and they still haven't reversed the charge because they said there is an issue with their system and doing this. Meanwhile I can't move forward with my expense reports which is needed to pay off the company credit card. In addition to this they removed the damage fee for $5 and put it on my personal card. Again not a big deal but now the receipts from the hotel I use for my expense report do not reflect this correctly. So now there are expenses that aren't adding up to the charges and I can't submit that to finance in my company. I've explained this several times and they can't get it right. Also 3 weeks in and I started to get nonsensical charges again that don't add up. After investigating I'm told they got a new credit card reading program and the switch resulted in odd close out charges but just like above the charges don't add up and I can't submit that to my finance department. For example there are two charges for $139 adding up to an authorized charge for $122. So apparently now $139 + $139= $122 They explained this thoroughly but the point is my receipt that I submit for expenses can't look like this. It's done by a computer program and it will flag this because the numbers don't add up. It won't let me even try to submit it with these errors. I've asked several times to speak to the manager and she is never available and never reaches out to me. This is just ridiculous and it makes the team here look bad. All I need is for them to make corrections on the receipts, reverse my credit card charge and put the charge on the right receipt and they can't seem to manage this. Great place, super spacious room. Loved the kitchenette. Housekeeping was on it and my room definitely felt clean! Really liked that they had the shampoo conditioner & body wash bottles attached to the shower walls - brand name Dove. The downstairs lobby & common areas are very nice, loved the seating and being able to sit by the pool. The hot Breakfast was not the best but I loved the toast area, fresh fruit and the hot coffee & juice area. They had a lot of options. It was set up nicely. Check in was fast and being able to add an additional day was even easier ! Also booking on their home website was cheaper than other discount websites, at least for my experience. read more

Stopped by thr front desk after a walk to ask for an extra towel and sheet. it was about 9pm, no one was in the lobby aside from me. There was only one worker who was sitting in the back room with her feet up, on her phone, and after I said excuse me in a nice tone she looked up at mye, eyes only head did jot love, and went back to scrolling in her phone. I said helloooo do you see me?! She just sat there on her phone. What is wrong with these people nowadays. It's like they want be home on unemployment. So entitled and lazy. If it wasn't for the fact that the front phone kept ringing she might never had gotten up, btw it was me calling which finally made her get up! All of the employees are nice, smile and say "hello" or "good morning"! Breakfast and dinner with wine and beer are included in the cost of the room, as well as a laundry room, fitness room with yoga mats and free weights, in addition to the usual treadmills and recumbent bike; heated pool, basketball net/stand, movie room with cushy leather recliners and a selection of DVDs to borrow, a library with couches to sit and read, a business center (desks with computers)... even dog biscuits at the front desk. We were impressed by this stay! We were in town for work checking in on Monday afternoon and checking out Friday morning. Beyond my expectations. We're in the high desert. This place is an oasis. Being a veteran, walking in the lobby and seeing the military appreciation pictures and frames gives me a warm and fuzzy. We needed a place to stay while conducting family business with my mother and extended family. I struggled finding a place that could accommodate 5 comfortably and Staybridge had the perfect solution. Cheyenne recommended the 2 room suite with the common room that had full amenities that included a dishwasher, sink, 2 range stovetops, and a full refrigerator with freezer. Dishes, dishwashing soap, coffee maker - pretty much everything you can think of is here to accommodate two families with ease. Laundry room is free - just buy detergent. Clean workout room. The stay includes a hot breakfast. Sausage patties, standard waffle maker, and scrambled eggs. Soft drinks, tea, and coffee are available 24/7 in the main lobby. All in all, this was one of the nicest places I've had the pleasure of resting. I definitely will come back to stay here when the opportunity presents itself! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. By far the worst experience I have ever had! The manager Katherine is beyond rude, and didn't care what so ever about our health or concerns. The smoke detector was covered with a shower cap, we found vomit stains, blood & a used heroine needle and all she had to say is "if you don't like it you can leave, there is no other rooms available". Overrated. Nice facade and lobby but going to your room are complicated passages and pathways like a maze in the middle of nowhere. Food was a disappointment with less options. Room was nice but with broken telephone and lamps. AC is fixed with no control on your part. Shampoo and conditioner need to be changed asap. Finally, the stench as compared to other hotels was obvious. I don't know but smells like theres garbage beside you. Why a one star? (Kasandra) The manager is heavily gaurded by the staff. She is unreachable, and does not return phone calls. When I asked to speak with her, she is unavailible. When I call, I have to answer a barage of questions, just to find out that she is (in a meeting). I have been here off and on for over two months and she has never even once been availbile to answer a question. Where is she? Work from home position, possibly? Today, I found out after asking several times, why I can't book a room for more than a two week period. Aparently this hotel has a policy about not staying more than 30 days. I have tried to get an answer on this for weeks now. So now, without any notice from the hotel, I must leave with a confirmed reservation in hand. This could have been avoided if the manager was ever availible. Manager 0 Stars. Housekeepers 4 out of 5. Breakfast when availble 3 out 5. Room condition dated 2 out 5. So, I have ignored the cockroaches in 329, and the peeling paint in the tub in another room that stayed on my feet after showering. This place has really gone downhill since a new management company has taken over. We were staying here because of work being done on our house. Because we knew we would be there for several months, we brought a lot of stuff -- most of our pantry, our own dishes, pots and pans, etc. When we first moved in, although not summer, we were experiencing a heat wave. Immediately we found that the air conditioner in our room was not working. It came on, but only blew out hot air. They played around with it for a couple of days and asked us to change rooms. We refused to change rooms because of all the stuff we had. Their solution was to remove an air conditioning unit from another room and replace ours with it, which means there's another room now that does not have air conditioning. The furniture in the living room is awful and uncomfortable. The chair at the desk is not a desk chair, and is extremely uncomfortable and difficult to sit at a desk in. The bed was comfortable, though. However, the tables at the sides of the bed had no drawers, which was inconvenient. \ We had a first-floor room because of our dogs, and never got rid of the ants and cockroaches. They refused to spray because of our dogs, and whatever "drops" they put around did no good at all. The television service sucks, as does the internet service. It is constantly going off, and for someone who tutors over the internet, it is frustrating when I couldn't be there for my students. The staff thinks they still have Spectrum, but they actually have Direct TV. The breakfast was a huge disappointment and is pretty much the same every day. There is a limited number of pastries; once they're gone, they're gone. The coffee service goes away at the end of breakfast. The "food" provided during the four days' "social" hour leaves little to be desired. It is the same every week and is very unimaginative. The free beer and wine are nice, but they don't know how to keep their good beer in stock. They run out almost weekly. Poor planning on management's part. The patio furniture is pathetic. The chair pads are probably the original from years ago; they are filthy and have holes and/or tears in them and no real padding left. Housekeeping services was a joke. Because we were long-term guests, our room was to be serviced only once a week. Half the time it would not be done on the day requested. All we got were excuses, no apologies. . . ever. When it was serviced, we wouldn't get the towels needed; they would be "in the wash" was always the excuse. Apparently, they don't have enough towels to replace the dirty ones when servicing a room without washing the dirty ones first! Again, poor planning. And when we brought this to the attention of management, all we received was blank stares, excuses, and no apologies. At one point it was requested that we keep our dogs on their leashes instead of letting them run loose in the fenced-in area outside. We were not given a specific reason, but we complied. However, other dogs were allowed to run loose. Apparently, there is a "pet policy in place" but no one knows what that policy is, because no one that I know of has ever seen one, and several of us long-term guests had pets in our rooms. Laundry here is free, but the dryers are crap. One of them burns your clothing. Another takes about 5 hours to dry things completely. Nothing gets fixed. Again, blank stares, "we'll tell management," and nothing changes. Being long-term guests having work done on our house, our insurance company would extend for a month at a time. At the end of June, we were contacted by our insurance company and told that we could not extend at the hotel because they were booked for the month of July. The hotel staff was aware of our situation, that we were scheduled to be there for several months (as were several other guests at this hotel), and yet they sold our room out from under us. They did this to another couple as well. However, we were told by still another couple that they had received a call from the hotel earlier in June, informing them that if they were planning to extend into July, they should do it now before the hotel got booked up. Preferential treatment by management was very apparent. Upon leaving the hotel, we were charged $30 for towels that were "ruined" by us. We requested they show us the ruined towels, but they were never produced. We are still confused about the ruined towels, but glad to be leaving, we paid the $30. There is so much more to say, but the bottom line is that management in this hotel sucks. Cassandra, the operations manager, is rude to say the least. Her employees take no pride in their work, and no one takes responsibility for anything; all they do is pass the buck. I believe it is because management does not allow them to think on their own and try to help their guests; they just give blank stares and excuses, unable to think or act on their own. read more

Stayed recently 1/17/2020 room it self was nice, bed was not the comfiest, especially the pullout all you could feel were the springs. Kitchen area and full fridge were nice, bathroom and area seemed clean and they had soap provided on the shower wall if you forgot to bring some. Down fall was you could here people running around upstairs lasted till almost 2 am. Breakfast was nice there were cheese egg omelets corn beef hash ham, you could make waffles yogurt fruit cereal , and a few other items so it was nice. Very pleasant staff as well. read more

I was planning to stay here for 1 month since my hous got flooded. Closet door did not work almost felt on my head the seat had litterly no cushion. I ask receptionist (manager) to pls bring me different chairs (never happened) My husband and 17 yr old saw a totally naked girl offering her services. A police chase ended up right at the back entrance. I just could not believe it. Pros: everything is close and the cleaning crew is the ones that had customer service. Nice quiet place to stay in the Palmdale area. Easy access to the highway, plenty of restaurants in the area, Thai, middle eastern, pizza etc. lots of variety. The staff is very friendly, everyone greets/acknowledges you as you roam about the property. The breakfast buffet is pretty typical fare. My only gripe would be with the plastic utensils. They are really, really, REALLY flimsy. The fork wouldn't penetrate my biscuits and gravy. The body just flexed. No worries, I'll cut it with the knife. NOPE. That's super bendy too. Same problem when cutting the sausage patties. . My advice: bring down some real flatware from your room when you hit the buffet. There's a nice fitness room and even a theater room you can reserve. First, the disclaimer on the Lancaster reviews I am writing ... We were in Lancaster three times for State Cup this year. Indeed, expectations need to be lowered on all fronts the moment one steps foot into this town; however, there are some basic hospitality concepts that I expect everywhere, especially from a hotel chain. I'm going to start with the positives because there are many. The outdoor area is great, especially for kids. Nice basketball court, soccer nets, heated pool and jacuzzi, plenty of outdoor seating and a BBQ area. The rooms are great. I managed to cook dinner for 15 people using the little kitchen in the room which had two burners, a microwave, dishwasher, sink and some expected crap cookware. They did run out of propane at the BBQ station which left us with raw steak and chicken but I improvised with the microwave. The lobby area is also great for convening as a team. Fireplace, plenty of tables and chairs, a 24 hour drink machine and a little movie theater that has maybe six or seven leather chairs and DVDs that you can rent. This will be our hotel of choice should we have the pleasure of returning to Lancaster for State Cup in the future. Where this hotel is severely lacking is on the customer service front. We walk in after a long morning on the field and an unpleasant young lady is there to *greet* us. I don't think she spoke two words before telling us that we would not be able to check in until 3:30. No offer on the facilities to keep us occupied in the interim so we help ourselves. Eventually had to ask for an access card because you cannot get back into the building once you're out in the courtyard. I had asked the gal if she could call when a room became available and she said she would - never did. On the day of checkout, we had a 9:00 am game and if we won that game, would play again at 2:00 pm. After our first game we came back to check out. We wanted the boys to relax in between games after lunch and I attempted to rent the movie theater from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Since we were checking out that day (check out was at 12:00 pm), the gentleman said I would be unable to rent the room. I would have to pay for an additional night. Really? For one additional hour we wanted to stay on the property and they weren't willing - even though the theater was fully available. These small courtesies go a very long way (i.e., I share our positive experience with the many friends we have traveling to Lancaster for State Cup; oh, and leave them a five star review on Tripadvisor). Instead, their inability to extend one hour to us leaves me with a negative feeling about this hotel. read more

I stayed in this hotel unfortunately due to renovations going on in my home for approximately a month and a half. I had to rewash my linen because there were hairs in the fibers as if the tiles had not been washed. Most of the housekeeping staff does not speak English therefore communication is an epic failure. Then let's go over to the management this is the poorest management I've ever in my life experienced. Place has cockroaches and fleas or bedbugs my husband's entire back has bite markes. I had to wash my own linen because it was too hard to get housekeeping and when you did it looked like linen had not been washed. I had complaints about the other staff that work the front desk but after dealing with the manager Samantha I now understand why the rest of the desk staff is so poor they're being led by ignorance and incompetence so that's all she's showing and training them to do. They are very rude and behave as if they are home dealing with family or I would hope they treat family better. WORST STAY EVER. They refused to give a receipt and the so-called GM is NEVER at work and refuse to reach out to hear your voice. read more

Hello Yelpers! Spending the night in Palmdale? OK, there's not much Yelp can do for you. But, if you must, you could do much worse than the Staybridge Suites; in fact, I don't know if you can do any better -- it's the suite life indeed over there. I'm usually a SPG guy (Sheraton, Westin, W, Four Points) but, as of this writing (11/16), there are no SPG properties in the Antelope Valley. So, I turned to Staybridge (an International Hotel Group chain) and wow, Palmdale started looking better right away. Starting in the lobby, you'll find freebie cookies at check-in, and the usual mix of business travelers doing the checking in, most for a few days or more. Some eye candy there but, let's face it, rather limited. After check in, to your left is a most awesome lounge and dining area -- practically a full dinner (last night was corn tamales, salad and vegetables) with unlimited free wine. Glug, glug, keep me away from the heated and not-a-bad-size swimming pool. Full breakfast the following morning if you're into that sort of thing. The rooms are indeed suites, with a living room, full kitchen and dining area (dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker, microwave with popcorn to micro-pop, dishwasher, the works). Open the french doors to, waa-laa, your rather fancy bedroom and big, big bathroom. Two TVs, natch. At government or business rates, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the very high quality of furnishings, bedding and all that stuff. Did I mention the two free meals, per day. The only problem is when you exit the hotel, uh oh, you're still in Palmdale. Uber please. read more

The staff is super nice but lazy. I have to go get the continental breakfast next door at their sister hotel holiday inn where they have a full breakfast. Eggs every morning but if they serve sausage you dont get potatoes if they serve potatoes you dont get the sausage/bacon but next door they do so i go over there. The halls stink. If you put trash out in the morning it will be there all day. The cable tv isnt even hd. I only gave it 3 starz cause its the only hotel in this area that has a kitchenette and allows pets otherwise id rate it a 1 for the price. Also i think they might be under staffed. My dad (an IHG diamond elite member for 10+ years) booked my sister & I a room at this hotel using his points because our grandfather is in the icu at a hospital nearby & when we went to check into our room the lady at the counter was BEYOND rude & without even letting us speak refused to give us service because our dad who booked the room wasn't with us... even though both of our names were on the reservation. We have stayed at numerous IHGs all over the nation (including Staybridges) and she just kept telling us "it's Staybridge policy". I would write the name of the "helpful" lady, but she conveniently decided to cover her name tag while we were speaking. However, she was an older black lady with thick black glasses and headphones in so she could hear whatever she was watching on her iPad. Hopefully management is aware that they have an employee with the worst customer service I've ever experienced & I would be willing to guess we are not the only ones with this experience with her. Will definitely be contacting corporate to make sure they are aware of this issue and that we are refunded the points wasted. read more

I wouldn't even give it a 1 star! We stayed during a very busy softball tournament weekend. There were cockroaches outside the door as you walk in. The TV didn't work the entire time. Room smelled like smoke when we got there. Got in late one night from games and they didn't have towels for showers stating that housekeeping was not there anymore for the night. Also, we had a pullout couch and they didn't have sheets or pillows to provide for it. Front desk manager Kassandra is super rude and not helpful. Excuses after excuses for everything. Tiles in bathroom on floor loose and coming apart. Stains all over carpet that looked like throw up which was super gross! Called and left several messages and wanted to talk to manager. Now has been 3 weeks and had to call back again and Kassandra again said she never got any messages. Yea right! She still was no help and said to call customer service guest relations who again was no help! I will never stay here again or any of their hotels. Ridiculous customer service and I should have been refunded. Simple, refund my card and it would have been done but no....they said no. Do not stay here! This hotel was pathetic. We alerted the hotel that we would arrive late in the evening. They gave us their last and most unwanted room which smelled of smoke, dust and dampness. It felt like we were being penalized for arriving late. Uggghhh. The night clerk was very friendly and helped immensely as she worked to change us to another room quickly. She warned us that someone had burned fish in one of the only rooms they had left and the hotel was working to clear it out. We take responsibility for saying "yes" so we ended up with a room that had a faint scent of fish even though housekeeping had ozoned it. We couldn't open the windows more than an inch to air it out. The furniture was knicked and banged up, the kitchen was not entirely clean - it appeared to have been too hastily tidied. We asked for a change in our pillows since I am allergic to feather pillows. That didn't happen. The bed linens didn't appear to have been changed. Another Uggghh! Funny thing was that for a full hotel, we saw barely any one walking around or in the lobby. Ummmm. As we were leaving, the front desk clerk didn't seem to care about why we were dissatisfied (a sure sign that nothing would change) and hurriedly gave us a few IHG points. I booked to stay here for a couple of night to get a break from the local hospital I'm helping. I was paged to come into the hospital.. so I checked out. I stayed only for 4 hours in my room and after speaking to the supervisor, he had the audacity to tell me, "we're not a motel and has to charge me for a full day instead of half a day." I had an issue checking in cause they don't accept my card. And I had to wait 4 hours until I was able to just get them to accept my card. The manager Cassandra is rude. She definitely did not want to help me. Not even with corporate. I will never stay here again. And it sucks because the amenities are so nice. read more

Stayed here a couple of nights due to evacuation from Woolsey Fire, and it was perfect for us! Everyone was very friendly - front desk, managers, security, maids, janitors - they all smiled, said hello, and asked how we were doing. They also gave us a discount due to having to be evacuated and allowed our pets to stay (cats and dog). In addition, it is just a wonderful place! We had a two bedroom, two bath suite with a kitchen and separate living area. Provided breakfast had a good range of options, and while it's not a Michelin 3-star, it is very good and worked well for young ones as well as members needing gluten free options (fruit, eggs, meat options plus cereals, breads, juices). Food area was clean and kept stocked. They had a "social hour," which was basically dinner 3 nights a week with no charge. There is access to free sodas, cold water, hot chocolate and tea 24 hours (yes!), good wifi throughout, free laundry facilities, a fitness area, a nice courtyard, and a pool (although we didn't use the pool). We had two teens and a younger one plus two parents, and it was great. I can't say enough about how this made us feel at home during a stressful and traumatic time. Thank you so much! read more

If there is such a thing as a home away from home then Staybridge Suites Palmdale is definitely my home away from home. Friendly staff is only the beginning, Food and entertainment will definitely keep you coming back for more. This hotel will definitely make you feel like two million bucks and some change. I have stayed here many times in the past decade and its honestly one of the best! I even met the greatest pitcher of all time Roger Clemens here back in 2009. I stayed at the Staybridge Hotel in Palmdale California on July 17 ,2021and check out July 18, 2021.One hour after I left the Hotel I called to inform the front desk I had left my" My Pillow " on the bed. The pillow was in my own yellow pillowcase and stamped with the My Pillow logo all over the front and back of the pillow. The front desk did not offer to go look in the room or allow me to look for myself. Instead she said housekeeping is still working and she will call me after they have finished... I never received a call. I called again the next day and received the same treatment. Empty promises to ask housekeeping and return my call. Very poor customer service ... I will never recommend or stay with this chain of hotel ever again. Thieves work here... don't trust your belongings will be returned read more

First off, we stayed here for about 6-7 months because our house is getting renovated. Second, this place has roaches and rude housekeeping staff. Our room hadn't been serviced by the housekeeping staff for about a few months, but all of a sudden this petty female wanted to schedule a "weekly deep cleaning" two months before we check out and made it seem as though the hotel required it. Thirdly, the walls are EXTREMELY THIN. You can hear people above you walking, children playing, rowdy, loud. They need to find something to reinforce the walls because my gosh, I hardly got good nights sleep lol. Don't stay here, not worth the $320 a night. read more

Arrived late night after curfew and this place didnt even have water for purchase. They blames all their ordering issues on covid like you cant get water now days. I sat in the lobby and had to wait on the front desk clerk. She was not helpful at all being that I simply wanted to change from a queen to a king bed.
