I regret that I dropped off a Co2 tank for refill on March the 16th, the lady at the window said the tank needed inspection as it had been sitting in my basement for over a decade. That process requires a week to get the tank to a testing facility, then a week back. Fingers crossed that it would pass I said fine. On the 30th I call to check and I leave a message with a lady who says she will call me back. No call. Next morning I call again and reach Roger (owner) and tell him what I need, he also asks me the color of my tank (odd question) and says he will get back to me. I follow up with an email saying I just need to get a tank and could I rent one while we sort this out, no return call or reply email. I call again Wednesday and get a grumpy lady, leave msg but alas no call. Thursday I sent another email. So while I get that there is a pandemic going on, I am working from home and almost everyone I know is as well, I return calls because I am desperate for business but that isnt true here. I suspect my tank is just lost and I being blown off. Avoid!!!

In town to take out a friend's daughter attending Syracuse, we stopped in on a Friday night since she never had Carvel in her life! Customer Service (1 Star). Apparently, they close at 9 PM on a Friday night? Despite being in the store at 9 PM, the teenage twit told us they were closed and refused to serve us. I was confused. Another patron and her husband were in the store and had yet been served (they were trying to decide what they wanted) and proclaimed, "no, you are not leaving and they are going to serve you." It is time to grow up and act like an adult." Engaged in a stare down, the young girl (clearly not a lady) refused to budge. Her co-worker having at least gained some element of customer service and de-escalation training, took the 1 minute and created (2) soft serve cones and we were on our way. We enjoyed the cones in the parking lot. We observed the closing procedure from the lot. It took the (3) teens a total of 5 minutes to turn off the lights, put some covers over the ice cream and lock the doors. If I were the owner of this store, I would think seriously who I was hiring to represent the business, and I certainly wouldn't want this teenage snot serving me if it was in the middle of a shift or at closing time. I'm certainly glad I raised my daughter better than this. Note: we probably had the same snotty employee that Eugene B. encountered in his review.

I highly suggest the chocolate dip cone . They have a cast of rotating classic and seasonal flavors. Employees are always friendly and willing to answer any questions. Inside is clean with a fair amount of sitting. I also enjoy sitting outside and enjoying any live music happening in Clinton Square.
