Mainly, I would LOVE to see the old Coke bottles displayed more prominently in the stadium. We were told they were IN the Coke area, which apparently was not accessible to the general public. At least, that's what we were told...and we certainly didn't see them. Also there were smallish plaques on the polls around the concourse displaying the history of the Lookouts. I think they should be bigger and we didnt see anything about when Oakland was there. Perhaps a museum constructed in part of the undeveloped part soon. It was really cool to walk down to a place I have seen all of my life and always wondered about. The old steel buildings, weathered by years of abandonment and Mother Nature, created such a cool juxtaposition with the brand-new ballpark. I really miss Engel Stadium and all the memories we made there. But as I looked around last night, I realized something: new memories are already being made. Families, friends, children, grandparents--all experiencing the excitement of baseball together. Now...about that parking. In my opinion, that needs to be one of the next things addressed. It was nice that they had shuttles TO the stadium, but there were only two, and NONE coming back to your car after the game. The walk itself isn't terribly far, but it is DARK. There is virtually no lighting. That could prove dangerous for older citizens with emerging cataracts who find it difficult to see at night--or for young families trying to maneuver strollers over uneven ground. The parking lot really needs to be paved, marked off, and, most importantly, LIGHTED. Parts were paved, parts were gravel, and some areas were pretty uneven. The other thing I think could be improved is having a larger, more centrally located box office and entrance. Think Engel Stadium. We entered one way and later saw another entrance waaaay down the sidewalk near even more random parking. I'm sure they will continue to improve the stadium and the surrounding areas. I heard there are plans to develop the property around the rest of the old factory, and I sincerely hope they preserve the look and character of those old buildings. They are part of what makes the setting so interesting. Sadly, the Lookouts lost. But for those of us who simply love baseball--the excitement, the crack of the bat, the smell of popcorn and peanuts and, in my case, HOT DOGS --it was all front and center. And we had a GREAT time. New stadium. Old Chattanooga history. New memories being made. Be kind to everyone!

Hey, I played ball up to the A Level, what was wrong with AT&T park????? Opening week, the Family and I attended our first game, and while there may be a need further develop the parking component, this new field is brilliant!!!! It is a shrunken version of a MLB Park standards. It's the field, which I am sure the players appreciate, but equally as important, it is the entire fan experience as well. EVERYONE in our group, and we ranged from four to seventy-five, was absolutely blown away! My only regret was, I didn't realize just how early the Creature Comforts Beer Garden opened. I would have gladly spent my pre-game wait for the gates to open, there, as opposed to queued up with the masses. You know what else made this so special, the Lookouts won! Let's not forget, this is the anchor to a massive redevelopment project on the southside. This area is going to be spectacular!

His momma made me because he plays the rec ball and needs to practice for his big game tuesday after school. We got there and it was extremely expensive, i am gonna need to get a reimbursement from his momma sharlynn. We headed out onto the ball cages where i swiped the card and balls started coming out of the machine. He had a hard time hitting it, i guess he has his grandmothers eyes! He did not like the d-bat. I would recommend for the kids who don't play the rec ball and who play the travel ball.

You'd never expect an under the radar city like Chattanooga to have so many wonderful landmark attractions like Ruby Falls, Rock City Gardens and now here at the Incline Railway, but Chattanooga is a worthwhile stop for any adventurer's journey. It's $22 roundtrip to ride 1450 feet at an incline grade of up to 72% to and from the summit of Lookout Mountain. It's about a 10 minute journey in total for riders to enjoy forest surrounding views while trekking up inside a customized railway car. Once up at the Summit Station high atop Chattanooga, there are two lookout observation points to check out. The first one is up a flight of stairs right in front of the train car exit area. Here you can admire Chattanooga's valley floor looking down below with the train tracks being the centerpiece focal point. Next, up two flights of stairs is an Upper Observation Platform. This section has more room for visitors to walk around and take family photos while breathing in the fresh air from 2400 feet high. It's a similar vantage point to the first observation deck, but still, nice to take in perspectives from all angles. There's a small gift store and cafe/fudge shop to purchase snacks and keepsakes. If interested, you can learn history about the Incline railway walking through the Centennial Exhibits located off to the left hand side of the Summit Station. Tourists can take as much time as they'd like enjoying the sceneries atop Chattanooga. Most folks seemed to hang out for about 45 minutes - 1 hour before departing back down Lookout Mountain. Extra notes... - To control crowds, train departures leave every 30 minutes. But, if you purchased a ticket for a 10am ride and the railway car is full, you'll be forced to wait in line for the next departure, not necessarily at 10:30am, but more like 10:20am given the 10 minute rides each way to and from the summit. My suggestion would be to get in line 15 minutes early prior to a 10am departure. The specific 30 minute intervals are used more as a guide to help to spread out the crowds from arriving all at once and then creating a bottleneck situation. - Incline Railway hours are 9am - 6pm/7pm daily. The railway is located in downtown Chattanooga. You can find limited parking on the side streets for free, but there's also a large parking lot for visitors to leave their cars. It is pay by the hour. It'll cost a few dollars extra ($3 - $5) for parking. - The railway car and ride to the summit is not scary. For those with a fear of heights, you should not be deterred. In the end, Lookout Mountain Incline Railway is a pretty worthwhile activity that should not be missed for visitors coming to Chattanooga.

Took some friends to Incline Mountain Railroad while in town for MLK weekend. This isn't my first…read moretime as I have been two other times and every time I enjoy myself. It's a great ride to introduce friends to Chattanooga and to be able to look out and see the city and surrounding state. Make sure your friends don't have issues with height before you go. I had two friends, who were not prepared for how sharp incline is. For some reason, they thought we would be on flatland once we got to the top, but the railroad is inclined the entire top stop. We enjoy looking out at the surrounding states and then going down to the bottom floor to look at how the rail system works. Don't forget to stop in the gift shop as they had some of the best shortbread cookies. I've been two other times and these were a new item. I'll definitely return if I have friends in town visiting!

The landscape and environment, stunning. The course is pet friendly too! This course would typically include food, but no longer offers that -- I believe -- due to COVID. Individuals may want to call them for updates and recommendations on dining options. However, the venue has a rather nice pavilion that overlooks the course for people who care to bring their own plates. I also noticed the course is tucked behind a neighborhood, so at first, you may feel as though you are driving the wrong way. But just a brief, straight course and you'll find yourself at the course! Great course, beautiful location, and outstanding customer service.
