The space looks the same - funky cool, with different colored glass lamps hanging, a velvet couch, a leather couch, a few tables in the middle, and a piano up on a raised area off to the side. Their menu includes juices, drip coffee, chai tea, soda, sandwiches, salads, and homemade hot cocoa. We both ordered the hot cocoa, the white chocolate hot cocoa for me. They make each drink order, one at a time, on the counter. And it is the perfect balance of creamy, sweet, chocolate deliciousness with whipped cream on top! My friend was quite happy with his plain hot cocoa too. We felt cozy drinkin our hot cocoa on the velvet couch. This was the right stop for this dreary day.

(We had the DIY party..the one with no decor provided so we did everything ourselves). We worked with Alex before the party and he was there for the event as well. He's a great communicator and is not hovering over you every minute, however he's always available if/ when help is needed. The games are a big hit for every age, some games may be a bit hard for toddlers on their own. This facility will definitely be a place we will be returning to for family nights and parties. Highly affordable, highly recommend. NOTE: the bathrooms could use a MAJOR upgrade, I'm sure someone is working on that.....but besides that the place is clean and well maintained.

You can chose a big group to paint along with an instructor, or do open studio and get some one-on-one attention as you work at your own pace. They have snacks for purchase and you can bring your own food and adult beverage, too. Be sure to check the website, they have "family hours" as well where they nicely ask to remain booze free! Make sure you make time to look through the art already there. The owner is very, very talented!

As a newer "out of town-er" no kids member, this review is long overdue!…read more After attending an epic pool party in June as a guest, I HAD to join. And SO glad I did! Glistening pool water, an authentic and diverse crowd, strong cocktails, tasty fries on any day of the week. Yes, please. Add in high end cozy complimentary towels and delish iced coffee if you like. They also host a welcoming mixer. Last month I enjoyed the wine club tasting. This month I enjoyed a hip hop infused water aerobics class so far. And the staff are just as fun and interesting as the house's members. If you're planning to be in Chattanooga part of the year or just moved to the Scenic City, and enjoy variety in adult living, I invite you to take a tour of The Landing then join while you can.

The most expensive item tonight was my souvenir hat! Sure no one on the field is being referred to as "future hall of famer" but watching the dizzy bat spin, frozen t-shirt contest and other quirky games that make minor league ball a blast is well worth it. It's baseball the way it should be... up close, entertaining reasonably priced and ego free.

The new Lookouts stadium--Erlanger Park--did not disappoint! I hope, as time goes on, they will…read morecontinue to spruce it up and add some new features. Mainly, I would LOVE to see the old Coke bottles displayed more prominently in the stadium. We were told they were IN the Coke area, which apparently was not accessible to the general public. At least, that's what we were told...and we certainly didn't see them. Also there were smallish plaques on the polls around the concourse displaying the history of the Lookouts. I think they should be bigger and we didnt see anything about when Oakland was there. Perhaps a museum constructed in part of the undeveloped part soon. It was really cool to walk down to a place I have seen all of my life and always wondered about. The old steel buildings, weathered by years of abandonment and Mother Nature, created such a cool juxtaposition with the brand-new ballpark. I really miss Engel Stadium and all the memories we made there. But as I looked around last night, I realized something: new memories are already being made. Families, friends, children, grandparents--all experiencing the excitement of baseball together. Now...about that parking. In my opinion, that needs to be one of the next things addressed. It was nice that they had shuttles TO the stadium, but there were only two, and NONE coming back to your car after the game. The walk itself isn't terribly far, but it is DARK. There is virtually no lighting. That could prove dangerous for older citizens with emerging cataracts who find it difficult to see at night--or for young families trying to maneuver strollers over uneven ground. The parking lot really needs to be paved, marked off, and, most importantly, LIGHTED. Parts were paved, parts were gravel, and some areas were pretty uneven. The other thing I think could be improved is having a larger, more centrally located box office and entrance. Think Engel Stadium. We entered one way and later saw another entrance waaaay down the sidewalk near even more random parking. I'm sure they will continue to improve the stadium and the surrounding areas. I heard there are plans to develop the property around the rest of the old factory, and I sincerely hope they preserve the look and character of those old buildings. They are part of what makes the setting so interesting. Sadly, the Lookouts lost. But for those of us who simply love baseball--the excitement, the crack of the bat, the smell of popcorn and peanuts and, in my case, HOT DOGS --it was all front and center. And we had a GREAT time. New stadium. Old Chattanooga history. New memories being made. Be kind to everyone!

I enjoyed the old AT&T field. I was concerned when MLB made their demands of all minor league teams…read moreyears ago to either upgrade to the new MLB standards, or lose your Minor League franchise. Hey, I played ball up to the A Level, what was wrong with AT&T park????? Opening week, the Family and I attended our first game, and while there may be a need further develop the parking component, this new field is brilliant!!!! It is a shrunken version of a MLB Park standards. It's the field, which I am sure the players appreciate, but equally as important, it is the entire fan experience as well. EVERYONE in our group, and we ranged from four to seventy-five, was absolutely blown away! My only regret was, I didn't realize just how early the Creature Comforts Beer Garden opened. I would have gladly spent my pre-game wait for the gates to open, there, as opposed to queued up with the masses. You know what else made this so special, the Lookouts won! Let's not forget, this is the anchor to a massive redevelopment project on the southside. This area is going to be spectacular!

Ah... a review of the party!…read more The venue was great, the hotel there looked like a wonderful place to stay at and dine. It was a little confusing to figure out how to get into the event (front door of the hotel...duh!)...but once we did it was all good. The provided music was great, low key covers of familiar songs, but with the singer's own take. I would have tipped him if there was a tip hat. So the way this works, you get this fashionable wrist band to wear and 8 tickets. Each ticket is good for one drink or one food item. There were 3 main restaurant vendors set up with foods and specialty drinks, an ice cream truck dude, a snow cone guy (snow cones with either gin or vodka). Looking for vegan options was difficult (I knew this going in...no knock on the event at all). The first place we ate at was Two Ten Jacks and I was really happy with their Grilled Shishito Peppers. George was working the table and mentioned their restaurant was around the corner... after the event we did head over there and had a great dinner with vegan ramen and hot sake. The other restaurants were more difficult because of the long lines... and one was mainly BBQ though I enjoyed the green bean side dish...even if that was still a single ticket. The other restaurant there did not have anything that was not made with meat. Good thing I like to drink! :) One small negative for this event was that each vendor had a single line. I just wanted a drink and it meant waiting 15 minutes in a line to get a small cup of the drink... if I was setting this up, I would have added a separate drink only line which would have gone very fast right? Positive... hanging with Stephanie and her friend at the Yelp table and scoring those cool Yelp bottle openers. :)
