We are writing this review because of our most recent experience with The 107 Venue. We recently…read morehad our rehearsal dinner there on December 19th. We asked beforehand if we could drop off some things in order to have them ready BEFORE our event which started at 6PM. When my mother-in-law arrived at 1:30 on that Friday Talitha asked her and my father-in-law to "not be mad just to leave" without explanation. When we arrived for the reherseal dinner, NOTHING was set up, and Talitha was nowhere to be found. I also asked Talitha to set up a table for myself, and both sets of parents to be sitting together (which was in the contract...she's very uptight about that). That was not set up accordingly. Talitha also made a big deal about bringing in Gumbo and providing rice. She was not nice towards myself, my mother-in-law, and my own mother. On a positive note, the other workers made sure to help and set up to make our rehearsal dinner memorable. The included DJ was also great! This place is great unless you are working with Talitha. Before booking here make sure you know what you are getting yourself into! She was too worried about people being in the meetings or dropping things off rather than making sure our event was the best and listening to our request. This should have been a pleasant experience, but she made it very difficult on everyone involved. It's extremely disheartening because the venue itself is nice.

This is a much different experience and a very pleasant one to say the least. We decided to make this trip just before the heat of summer as a possible scouting trip for the leaf color change in late October. While the trees which are in full foilage obstructed some of the views of the Gorge and the river, it was still a beautiful sight. We rode in the Dome Car so we had a very good vantage point. We bought an on board Lunch which was a turkey sandwich on a croissant dressed (green stuff was in a separate bag. There was also an amply supplied snack box which caused me to abandon my low carb diet for a day. The part of the trip which was the best part was the crew. EVERYONE of them was absolutely delightful. The Narrator(s) were exceptional and gave every detail about the route as we cruised along at about 12 mph going uphill and up to 16 mph coming back down. We had one of the Narrators come up to our car and give us extra details about the Loop which was super nice. All in all my wife and I had a wonderful time. TIP: If you get cold easily (the cars are air conditioned) bring a blanket. I broke the ice with the rest of the passengers when one of the conductors checked in on us and asked if everything was ok. I indicated that it was a bit warm, but we would struggle through it. That was all it took for us to really start talking and getting to know one another as most of the men were chilly, and the women were freezing. There were blankets on board and I managed to find one for my Princess, but You may want to bring one. I would highly recommend this trip. The steps up to the dome Car(s) are not bad but you have to be able to climb up about 7 or 8 steps. We may very well do this trip again in the fall as I suspect that the Leaf Color Change will be breathtaking. God puts on full display for us that beauty. Thanks to the Crew for making this slow train ride a very memorable experience.

That alone puts this place ahead of half the businesses I've walked into this year. Scenery was a bit limited since everything is in full bloom, but I refuse to leave a bad review because nature was too healthy. The trees were simply thriving. Good for them. Now the real hazard nobody warns you about: this train is dangerously comfortable. That gentle rocking had me fighting for consciousness like a toddler after Thanksgiving dinner. If they ever add pillows, nobody is getting off at the final stop. Will absolutely bring the family back. Easy 10/10, highly recommend. Blessings

We came in via Ooltewah and I was following my gps, which took us straight to the site. However, the entrance to the parking area isn't clearly marked and being that it's on a hill makes it difficult to located in time to pull in. We bypassed it and had to turn around. Very annoying. After we got turned around and pulled into the parking lot, which was gravel, we parked and exited the car. My wife had a hard time walking to the barn due to the gravels. The grade of the parking lot and the walk to the barn and wedding site were steep and were certainly not conducive for those needing assistance. Several older folks had a hard time getting up and down the large hill. Even the younger crowd had a difficult time due to the steepness of the hill. As we all gathered down by the large tree we noticed a rope holding the tree together where it had split down the middle. This wasn't really a problem but it was interesting. It was also hard to sit because the chairs weren't level. This place was beautiful but everything was on a hill of some sort. Be very certain that this place is the right place for you and your guests before you book and pay.
