Chattanooga is one of the best AA clubs in the southeast. It's not just about the quality of the farm system but also the downtown atmosphere, being on a hill overlooking the city and the Tennessee river with Lookout Mt in the background. A great place for large groups whether they be from work or schools. Every game has something tied too it, some promotion or activity. Plus you have to love those black Nooga jerseys. If your visiting this city with a game on tap it's worth the few dollars to take in a game. read more

Opened in 2000 and renamed AT&T field in 2007 this is Chattanooga's minor league base ball field. Formerly Bell-south Park until March 2007. Construction of this park began March 1999. The first pitch was thrown in this stadium on April 10, 2000. AT&T Field fan capacity is 6362. This is the only minor league base ball field I have ever visited. The tickets are reasonable as I have been paying $4 to $5 over the last few years to get in. The parking is easy and free for me as I find a meter to park at a few blocks away. If you don't mind walking, you can usually find free parking down town. The concession stands are easy to get to and usually have no lines. They have food and drinks at reasonable prices. The seats are general admission and you can sit where ever you want in the higher decks. Now, you can pay more for lower seats but to me, all seats are great here no matter where you sit or stand. The beer garden is a popular hang out located behind the third base line and left out field. Look for special events at the ball park. For instance, they have used car night, and fireworks night too. I like going on days they have fireworks shows. It is mostly on Friday nights during a home game. See schedule for these specific dates. read more

As luck would have it, the weekend I was in Chattanooga, the Chattanooga Lookouts were playing my team, the Birmingham Barons. Since there were baseball fans in my group, taking in a minor league game was a no-brainer. Minor league baseball games are cheap wholesome family fun. $10 and you can actually see what's going on during the game and be close to the field. I love major league games too but from nosebleed seats, I have to stare at the Jumbotron to take in what's happening. Birmingham's new Regions Field has spoiled me, but AT&T Field (not Park, that's where the San Francisco Giants play) is pretty nice too. Superb location downtown so easy for us tourists to check out. Friendly staff. Bathrooms were fine. The beer drinkers in my gang were satisfied with the brew selection and costs; there's even a beer garden area in the stadium. The Zooperstars were entertaining, and we even got our picture taken with Looie, the mascot. I'm not sure what he is, but he's a character. read more

Lookouts baseball has been a staple in Chattanooga for many years. compared to other stadiums, the food is considered very very affordable. $4 beers, $4 hot dogs. That's a really great deal compared to the Major League that's a big reason that I would prefer going to a minor league game then a major league game. The only reason it did not score five store is because of something the Lookouts can't control; the sun. Until about 8 to 8:30 in the evening if you're sitting in the right field/ first base section the sun will blind you until about the third inner inning. There are in game promotions in between innings to make things fun. Lots of dancing type stuff to make sure the family is interacting. read more

Welcome to Dodgertown, TN As much as I love coming to these games, I just can't give that 5th star due to 80% of the fans facing directly into the sun until the 4th inning during the summer. It's got to be one of the nicest A-ball parks in the country. You're getting docked another point or two if the Dodgers don't keep the Lookouts as an affiliate, too. Beer is reasonable at about $3.50-$3.75 for a 16 oz. What a shame when we have to consider that reasonable. Just give beer guy $4 a brew and he'll keep coming back at a very timely pace. They also have a brew or two from Big River, if you like that. Speaking of beer, what's with the Brew Garden? It's not a garden. In fact, it's not even a comfortable spot to watch the game. Too bland and boring. I ventured over there and left after 2 minutes when I realized my GA ticket provided more excitement. Those are some "big ass fans" under the awning, too. FYI, that's actually the name of them. Why are all the stalls backed up by the 2nd inning. never fails. why is that 8 y/o facing me while peeing and staring at my jewels? :/ Speedpitch is located down the RF line. 69mph??? A trip to AT&T Field can be the best cheap date in town, and for a few bucks more you can have a grand old time. The best seats in the house are all of eight bucks; cheap seats are four. Concessions are certainly overpriced for what you get, but waaay cheaper than a major league park, and they have nasty, delicious Frito pie. Pints of beer are available for $3 - $4. I love the production value of a Lookouts game. There's plenty of between-innings hijinx and contests, and the announcer and emcee are sometimes hilariously snide and sarcastic (though always nice to little kids). At our last game, every time the Carolina Mudcats' Mike Costanzo came up to bat, they'd flash a photo of George Costanza on the scoreboard. It's those little touches I really appreciate. Being a Detroit Tigers fan, it's hard for me to get that excited about the National League Dodger's AA affiliate. And, as Ryan L noted, the park was built with the stands facing the sun. I always enjoy a good baseball game, and the Lookouts really do have an enjoyable experience. Currently the Lookouts are a Dodgers affiliate, so as a Cardinals fan, I don't really get excited about that, but I love watching the game anyway. First let me start off by saying that AT&T field is definitely a cheap date. The best seats are $9 each, it's still cheaper than a movie. Only have a few bucks to spare? Well, the bleachers aren't that expensive either, and they really aren't that much further back. I will say, however, that your butt will be a little sore after sitting on that bleacher for 3 hours. The chair-back seats down in front? Much more comfortable. There's a lot going on here. They are always doing something between innings to keep the attention of the younger fans (because we all know they get bored, even little baseball players). There's the speedpitch down on the right field line... there's the "beer garden" out in left field for the adults. There's the gift shop (tip: It's air conditioned... go here when you get hot) . They frequently have fireworks after the show, and set off a loud boom for all Lookouts home runs and after a victory. And of course there's lots of concession stands.... Concessions is where they make up the difference. Soda are around $3, ice cream up to almost $5? And you really don't even get that much. Beers are pretty reasonable, considering it's beer served at a baseball stadium. I've seen beer sell for much more at other parks. The stadium itself is a nice facility. Unfortuantely, it was built facing west and nearly every seat faces the sunset. When most of the games start in the evening, you can see that this is a problem. Bring your sunglasses. On a hot summer July evening? Bring your sunscreen and portable air conditioner. Those "Big Ass Fans" (google it, they use the "Powerfoil fans" here), don't do anything to help. Once the sun goes down, it's actually very nice and pretty comfortable. I wonder if the orientation towards the river has anything to do with that. When you come in the gate, you'll see that programs are still "just twenny-five cennnnts!" and there's a booth where you can spend a few bucks to have your name or a birthday (or whatever) announced over the loudspeakers around the seventh inning. You can also sign up for the nightly ball toss. After the game, they put a bucket on the pitchers mound, you pay a few bucks for some tennis balls and try to toss your numbered tennis ball in the bucket. Any balls in the bucket wins part of the pot. Girlfriend and I took her son there one night and he won over a hundred bucks! If you come to a game, you will not be disappointed. It's a whole lot of fun... just avoid those really hot days! read more

They cheer and cheer and cheer... there is no negative vibe. The Lookouts' stadium has a private balcony available for parties and it is a great way to watch a game, sit in the shade and enjoy a ballpark buffet full of hotdogs, hamburgers, nachos, pizza, baked beans, cole slaw, and an array of desserts. This is one of the best ballparks I've ever been to--major or minor league. It's always impeccably clean, they have a decent food selection (nothing crazy, but decent ballpark fare) and a great beer selection! You can get Fat Tire on draft for $4. FOUR DOLLARS. In Nashville you pay like $12 for a Bud Lite at the Sounds stadium. Gross. The entertainment is usually good, too. My favorites are the midget Elvis impersonator, the break-dancing bat boy and the Zooperstars, although I did get some enjoyment out of watching 15-year-old cars being given away on used car night (ironically, maybe, but it was still fun). You can almost always get good seats--My husband and I usually score seats right behind home plate and the tickets are still only $8--and you don't have to buy them really far in advance. Oh, and best of all: Women, you'll rarely have to wait in a long line to use the restroom. (Even though there's that one weird stall that's been missing a door for years.) The last game I went to was sold out and I only had to wait about two minutes to use the restroom any time I couldn't hold the beer in any longer. That alone is worth five stars right there, friends. Whether you're going alone, with friends, as a couple or with the family, a Lookouts game is always a good time. read more

Did the thirsty Thursday game this week and it's a great deal. Cheap to get in, and great beer selections for $1 and $2 a pour.

We got in free by bringing in can goods for the local food bank, and only stayed a couple innings, because we had a busy day planned. The baseball action was what you would expect from a double A team, but they did a great job keeping things entertaining for fans between innings. Every staff member we meet was very nice, and the concessions prices were decent. I think my son was more amused by this escalator that goes up a grass hill outside the park, then the actual game. But either way, it was still a good time. read more

The ball field is now called AT&T Field and is one of the finest minor league ballparks around this area. The Chattanooga Lookouts are affiliated with the L A Dogers. Great seating anywhere in the stadium. Good ballpark food too. Beer is not served in the family section. They have lots of specials & promotions. Fireworks nights are always fun to watch after the game. Located in downtown Chattanooga, on the banks of the Tennessee River, with plenty of Hotels / Restaurants / Parking in walking distance from stadium. You can get your hair cut & styled while watching the game from a barbers chair on the left side of the field. Fun for the entire family. I am looking forward to the 2009 season of baseball. I've been to roughly 5-6 games and each and every one of them has been a great experience. We go whenever there's fireworks because they put on a fireworks show to remember. I'm hopefully going to go on Opening Day 2017 because it's my birthday and it should be as good as always read more

The worst part of the stadium is the fact that most of the seats face into the setting sun. Poor design decision there. Beyond that, it's a decent but not outstanding AA stadium. I prefer the Montgomery AL stadium, but this beats Birmingham/Hoover. read more

I really enjoyed the Lookouts baseball game. It was very entertaining and they interacted with the children by having little games in between innings. Me and my friends had front row seats directly behind home base and it was very well worth the money. I would recommend doing this. They also have a firework show at the end of every game on Fridays. Me and my girlfriend walked out on the bridge and watched the fireworks from the outside of the stadium and it we had a great time. 5 stars for sure read more

Attended the 8/1/2015 Used Car Night game. Overall great time at the ballpark, very affordable with tickets just $9. This game was a sellout and you had to wait in lines at times for food and drink. This stadium is a must see for any Chattanooga visitors. One of the better minor league ballparks around. The Lookouts are the AA minor league farm team for the Reds. They play the Mississippi Braves a few series during the season too. They have lots of good promotions and specials. Fun for kids of all ages. read more

Having to travel and like to stop and find some baseball. This park is appealing from the outside but once inside it is not a very attractive ballpark! Don't make any special effort to see as this is not the place. I enjoyed the game but the park has a lot to be desired. I've seen better high school fields. Parking is kind of a joke as you have to search for a spot and hope that you don't have to park a long ways from the park. If you have older folks going with you, there is nothing there to make it safe to get up to the field. Just FYI on the last if you bring older family members or handicapped friends or family. read more
