I first came across Holiday Auto Care when I moved to CO and had such a strange problem -- I could not get the old state license plate off of my car to get the new CO plates on since the screw-heads had rusted over and did not want to budge. After calling several auto care shops in frustration, Paul and his team at Holiday Auto Care enthusiastically asked me to come on in so they could take care of my license plate dilemma (for free!). I have been coming here for my routine service ever since. I have been coming to Holiday Auto Care for a few years now and am really comfortable with the level of service and prices! I am the perfect candidate for any car-related business that wants to rip off a customer; I admittedly do not know much about cars, and it shows. I am guilty of the "call dad to ask if something sounds reasonable or if I am being ripped off, then call the shop back to approve or push back" pattern whenever I get a quote for any form of service. That being said, at Holiday Auto Care, I have never felt ripped off or like my lack of knowledge is being taken advantage of. Paul and his team are always upfront with pricing and are honest in explaining which services are more urgent versus which can wait until the next service appointment. I also really appreciate the emphasis they place on overall vehicle safety. I feel confident in the mechanics here and get a sense of peace of mind since so many of the services come with warranties. Holiday Auto Care also offers a AAA discount on labor, typically has some coupons/specials on their website, and sends out promotions via post cards and emails. The discounts can make a significant difference when applied toward expensive services. The shop is no longer as convenient for me as it was when I first started coming here, but I will continue to come back for the service and fairness! read more

This place is amazing and I found it because they were recommended by AAA with a top rating. They have master mechanics, and solved the riddle in about 10 minutes, why our car wasn't starting. After taking it to other places, we had been misdiagnosed and were expecting to have a whole new engine installed. By the way, they do that too. They took us in right away for a diagnostic. Everywhere else had a four week backup but I'm glad we went here because they are honest and trustworthy, friendly and highly experienced. As soon as our car was towed over, the mechanics starting examining our car and found the problem in about 10 minutes. Yes a faulty water pump can create havoc. After sharing a car for three weeks with my husband, and taking the bus to work when necessary, this is truly a blessing! Thank you guys! We are eternally grateful to you! :) read more

DONT GO HERE I chose Holiday because I thought it would be better to go with a local mechanic instead of a big chain place. WRONG, HOLIDAY IS THE EXACT KIND OF MECHANIC THAT SCREWS YOU OVER. I had a check engine light on so I left my car with them overnight. They called the next day with $3000 worth of work which I declined and returned to pick up car. I asked for print out of all the work and paid $147 for diagnostic, eeek. The blonde front desk woman gave me their copy of diagnostic with handwritten notes on it instead of invoicing me one since I wasnt doing any work. When I got to my car there were all sorts of things that NO other shop had even suggested I needed, tow hitch damage. New brakes(which I had just done 3 weeks prior) Inflated prices for oil change... The kicker is that at the bottom of the packet it said $90 for diagnostic if nothing done!!! The woman up front wouldn't refund me or adjust charge and became very rude about the whole situation, they also said they would cover uber charges while they held your car, they did not. Went to Firestone and got the necessary 3 things done for $600 cheaper than Holiday estimated. I'd suggest Firestone a few blocks down on Colorado or Weaver's automotive if you ARE looking for a reliable small business mechanic. read more

Long overdue review, but Mark and Christine takes it a step further when it comes to customer care. My boyfriend and I went to Holliday Auto Care to get my boyfriend's car fixed. His car would randomly stall while driving. When we dropped the car off, we provided them with the spare key, which turned out to have a chip in it. They literally sent someone to his work to pick up another key from him. They stalling problem appears to be caused by a crank and sensor and was a lengthy problem to diagnose and fix. Mark worked with us the entire time and was very fair in his pricing. I know car repair places get a bad rap, but Mark and Christine are truly wonderful people who just want to help others. I would definitely recommend anyone in the area to come here . I recommend call ahead to book an appointment cause they are very busy. For a good reason too! read more

I just moved to Denver about 6 months ago and was looking for a reliable auto repair shop that I could take my 2015 Subaru to get an oil change and tire rotation. I relied on reviews on google and yelp to find someone close and reliable. This place averaged with 5 stars, but how that's possible I have no clue. This place is a complete RIP OFF. I have had my vehicle for almost three years and have NEVER paid more than $80 for an oil change and a tire rotation, not even at a chain repair shop. But here, I got ultimately ripped off with a whopping charge of $80 for the oil change alone and an additional $35 for the tire rotation. This is totally outrageous. When I complained that this was too high, they just shrugged their shoulders and said sorry. I am appalled that they charge so much for "outstanding labor." I would not recommend this place. They made me feel like an absolute idiot. UPDATE- owner reached out to me to apologize for the inconvenience. This is greatly appreciated. read more

Although they may be a small auto shop, they are well worth it. I was concerned my car had an oil leak. I called Holiday Auto Care and they were able to see me in the same day. They called and kept me up to date on what was going on, and explained everything clearly (I unfortunately know very little about cars). I was also able to pick up my car just a few hours later. They also gave my boyfriend a free bottle of water when he attempted to pay for it, saying "it was on the house". They're more than generous and incredibly knowledgeable. I've just recently moved to Denver and knew of zero auto shops. Luckily I found Holiday Auto Care, as they will be my go-to auto shop from now on. Thank you for your care! read more

Mark and Holiday Auto Care have taken care of my car for the last several years, and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. I'm on the phone with someone so can't call now, which is why I'm writing this review. I'll call as soon as I'm finished with my current call. My car overheated this afternoon. I'll tell you what will happen. I don't know whether it's a leak in a hose or something else. They'll come out and either bring radiator fluid and have me drive it to the shop, or they'll have me tow it to the shop and figure out what the problem is. And they'll do it asap. I'm a 77 year old senior who's just trying to hang on to my car for as long as possible. Mark has saved me more money than I can tell. You want to go to Holiday Auto Care and get honest diagnosis, good service and great work, plus they're extremely friendly. I just called and Mark asked me if I had AAA, which I do. He said to have them tow it in tonight and he'd look at it first thing in the morning and try to have it ready later morning or early afternoon. Like the other reviewers have said, this place is a RIP OFF! This place wanted to charge me $284 for a battery replacement. The battery cost $160, so the rest was labor. They tried to charge me for an entire hour of labor when it took only twenty minutes, not to mention that most places will install a battery for free when you purchase it from them. The manager gave me so many excuses for why their labor rate of $129 was "normal" (it's not) and even told me that was a discount from their normal rate of $145. Do not trust this place. Holiday Auto Care, just a mile or so from me, checked my power steering pump as a neighbor said he could hear my pump going out on my Toyota Camry. The owner - sorry not sure of his name - had me wait a short while until one of the mechanics was free. Nothing wrong with the pump. Charge was minimal. Glad I found this local small auto repair shop that seems to focus on quality. All of their mechanics are master mechanics. Think I was told they do everything except body work. For the last 2 years, Mark and his service tech Jeramy have been working on my 1976 Cadillac Eldorado. It is almost impossible to find a good, knowledgeable mechanic for these older cars, and the folks at Holiday Auto Care have been AMAZING. Mark is very communicative about what needs to be done, and how much time it will take. He is also very upfront about repairs might be done better elsewhere. He has recommended other shops that specialize in transmissions, etc. I trust him completely, and woulf HIGHLY recommend him to ANYONE that needs a competent, honest repair service. Tony read more

I went because my check engine light said my coil needed to be replaced, wow he charged me a full hour of labor for diagnosing this when it took my mechanic brother 5 minutes to diagnose it over the phone. Then he gave me a whole friggen list of things wrong with my car including struts, nobody told you to look under my car why tf are you giving me a list of other crap? I didn't ask you to check any of that so is that why your labor was ridiculously high? after complaining about the diagnostic labor he gave me just $50 off. Said he buys the parts directly from Napa, looked on Napa's website and he definitely overcharged me for the coil. I walked outta there with an $744 bill. I picked up my car and found THEY DIDNT FIX THE PROBLEM. Had to bring my car back again the next day, turns out the guy doing the work can't plug in a spark plug correctly because he said it came loose. Since I left that second time, I've had a small leak in my tire and I've been filling it every 3 days with air. There was a NAIL in the parking lot next to my car when I went to pick it up so I'm not surprised, but I can't prove their lot is the reason my tire is leaking. I would absolutely never return nor would I wish my worst enemy to go to this location. I went cause it was convenient and they had good reviews. I'm shocked at my service. read more

If I could give them 6 stars, I would. As a new person to the area, I've had a few hiccups and issues. First, my ski rack froze shut with my skis still in them and locked. I pulled in and was assisted by Mark who came to my rescue with a de-icer stick! Not only did he help, he gave me the remainder of it, should it happen again. Wouldn't accept a dime and just so friendly. I almost cried. True story. Kindness of that magnitude really gets to me. Then, my Tire Pressure system kept going off. I freaked out, naturally, drove it back over there to see if I just needed air. Not only did they help me AGAIN, but they told me to drive it around and come back if the light didn't go off... which it did, then it came back on. Came back and they worked on it some more and we managed to figure it out (I just needed to reset the system... German-engineering can be so sensitive!). Anyway, I'd recommend them to anyone for anything. They are kind and honest... not to mention super knowledgable. Great business and deserves all the praise. read more

This little shop is phenomenal. I called them this morning to see if they could take a look at my brakes since the dealership completely failed in this area. My brake shoes were down to the metal on my left rear tire. They called me to notify me what they found and explained the cost that would be involved to replace the rotors and shoes. The price was exceptionally fair with a military discount as well!! Christine was very professional and competent. This will be my new "go to" auto repair for my Jeep. My mom took her 2002 Subaru Forester in for a new alternator and battery. The total bill was $879. This is way too high. Checking on line, parts should be around $350 total. They did put new battery terminals on which would add some time but, a good mechanic should get this job done in under an hour. They charged $259 labor and $40 EPA charge? and $49.50 for a charging circuit check which was already done by my Triple A tow truck driver. I do not recommend going to this shop unless you don't care about spending lots of money. read more

These guys didn't give two shits about me or my vehicle. They didn't know what was wrong, but They told me they could fix my issues. I paid them for the work they did, which didn't fix my problem, and went on my way. When it didn't solve my problem, I tried several times to get them to re-diagnose my issue, but they couldn't. I eventually found out that my strut tower mount was absolutely stripped and it was SUPER dangerous to be driving around that way. I had already paid them more money than I could handle at that time... Thanks for charging me over $1k for nothing! (And not caring enough to figure it out because I'm poor, and not the typical cherry creek customer.) Psh. I won't even go here for gas, though I live a block away! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! These people are dishonest, rude, and will do anything to rip you off. If you don't know anything about cars, which unfortunately a lot of us don't -- they will upcharge you thousands of dollars for simples repairs and parts. Somehow a diagnostics and an oil change came out to $400. When I asked for further work not to be done, they held my car hostage over the weekend and refused to give it back. I could not imagine having a worse experience. This place is your worst nightmare trying to take advantage of a young woman. Avoid this place at all costs, please. read more

I went to Holiday Auto to get my oil changed. About 2 hours later smoke started appear from under my hood. The mechanic left a rag on top of my engine and it began to smoke and then proceeded to catch on fire. If I didnt remove the rag when I did my car would have been completely burned. I went back and showed the video of the rag burning, they apologized and gave me 3 free car washes, they wouldnt give me my money back for the $27 oil change. I will NEVER go there again. My girlfriend took her car in the other day to get a fuel pump replaced and they charged her about $1,000!!! This is insane!! We got a quote from a Valvoline Express place on Evans Ave (about a mile away) as well as the dealership, and they were charging under $600. By the time we got the other quotes, the service was already complete, so it was too late. I went with her to pick up the car that evening and talk to the shop about the high price of work, and they were arguing that the dealership wouldn't give us an accurate quote because they don't have the VIN number to look up the exact model and specifications of the car; according to the shop, each Oldsmobile has a different size gas tank and that the dealership would have to see the exact car to tell. This is BS!! I have a friend who works for a dealership and quoted me the price of the OEM fuel pump ($350.70) and the labor (at about 1.8 hours... which should be about $200) and it should have come out to under $600!! So, the dealership, Valvoline and a friend who works for a dealership all say that it should be below $600 and Holiday Auto Care says it should be about $1,000, I'm definitely not taking my vehicle to this place ever again. Holiday Auto Care is a complete rip off!! Do NOT take your car there! On the positive side, the are quick at the repairs (but the guy said that there was a two week waiting period, but serviced the car the same day... how does that work?). Anyway, enough with my rant. I don't recommend this place and DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE TELLING A SHOP TO WORK ON THE CAR! I'm not one to complain like this unless I truly feel that this shop overcharging and misleading customers. read more

I leased a new VW 3 weeks ago and by the 2nd week, I had a tail light burn out. So I stopped by Emich VW for a quick fix but they said they couldn't help me because the service department was closed. I was extremely annoyed because I just leased a brand new vehicle and was already having an issue at 200 miles. I told the VW dealership that it's a quick fix (either a fuse or bulb burned out) but they still refused to help. Seems pretty silly that the 3 men at Emich VW couldn't change a rear bulb on the spot. So as I'm leaving, I stop for gas at Diamond Shamrock and at almost 9 pm, notice they also have a car repair facility open attached to the gas station (Holiday Auto). A very helpful mechanic grabbed a new bulb and replaced it on the spot while I was getting gas. The bulb was only $3 and no charge to replace. Very happy with Holiday Auto. Very professional, kind and generous. They are open late and helped me in less than 5 minutes while 3 men at Emich VW couldn't. read more

I came in to get my car all taken care of before a roadtrip, which included getting the oil changed, filters changed out, tires rotated, and some blown fuses replaced -- and they took good care of me. The people here, specifically Christine and Mark, were really wonderful. They were friendly, warm, clear about what was going to be done, and I really am not under the impression that they did any extra work that would cost extra money than was necessary.
