TLDR: I would strongly recommend not purchasing equipment from this location. This location does not have the capability to be an authorized Stihl dealer. I expect it's the same with all the high dollar equipment including BGE. I purchased a Stihl RB400 pressure washer in the morning to strip paint off my house, as my old pressure washer wasn't up to the task. I used it for about 20 minutes before all 4 anti vibration mounts sheared off the chassis and the engine and pump fell to the ground. After looking at it, it looks like the mounts were severely over-torqued by Ace during assembly. It was a little frustrating to have that happen to a brand new $850 piece of equipment that's supposed to be top of the line, but whatever, things happen and Stihl has a great warranty right? So I called the store to make a warranty claim, and I was informed they do not have any repair staff on site and would have to ship it to a repair facility. I've owned a lot of Stihl equipment, I've never had an issue with a warranty claim until now. They gave me an estimate of 2 weeks to repair, but since I have a halfway unpainted house now, I told them I just wanted to return it. On the phone they told me no problem and to bring it in. I loaded it up and took it in. When I got there they told me they can't take Stihl returns and I'd have to send it in for repairs. I run all Stihl equipment at my house, and I own a business that runs Stihl equipment in all our crew trucks. I've made plenty of returns and had plenty of warranty claims at other Stihl dealers without ever having a problem. This Ace is either unwilling to help or unable to help, both cases are simply unacceptable. If you'll be purchasing major equipment, purchase somewhere that can stand behind it and make you whole. That's kind of the whole point of paying a premium for Stihl. read more

I went in today and Mark went far beyond my expectations to help and make my job simple. While they may be a little more pricey than the big box stores, I go there often because I know that they have my back and will help if I run into a problem. read more

Do not shop here. Very dishonest. I was looking for a mower that online said was available at this location. So I called to verify that they had one available. Somebody went to look and came and said there was for $479. I mentioned it was online for $449 and he said well he guessed they'd sell at that price. I said I'd be out the next morning. Imagine my surprise to get there and find out they didn't actually have one. The owner lied through her teeth and told me the online inventories were not accurate. When I told her I called the night before and was told there was one, she said they had made a mistake. She didn't even bother to ask who I'd spoken to. You're taking a risk shopping here. There is another ACE nearby that was much more professional and I bought the mower at the sale price there with no hassle. read more

Apparently the manager creates their own rules about what is accepted as a return. I purchased a handtruck and tried to return it 2 days later. I tried to use it but I wasn't able to because my boxes and bins kept falling off. So I had to lift and move heavy boxes without a hand truck. So I decided to take it back and use the money towards a larger one on Amazon about the same price. However this location chooses not to accept hand trucks back. I was not told about the return policy when I purchased. Nor is it on my receipt of purchase. My receipt says it will take items back as long as it is in within 30 days and in a new unused condition. The hand truck was barely used, still has original packaging and only in my possession for 2 days. This store always has all the little things I need and cannot find anywhere, plus a great selection of everyday needs. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. They are helpful and provide great customer service. The cleaning products are well chosen and offer great variety. They have a number of silver cleaners and specialty products for appliances. The dishwasher cleaner, for example really does get your dishwasher sparkling clean and odor free. They have garbage disposal cleaner that comes with a money back guarantee, which worked when nothing else came close. If you have an appliance, ACE has an effective product to clean it! There is a fun selection of keys, and you don't have to wait long to get one cut. I've never had to bring one back to get redone. This a a great neighborhood store, and they are wonderfully helpful if you take things in to be fixed! Love this store! read more

This place has everything one may need for home improvement, but not exactly the most convenient hours or best customer service. I called recently looking for garden items and they seemed almost miffed. As if I had the wrong number or something. I think the guy even chuckled when I explained what I was looking for. Well, they did. So I went. When I got there, I perused the store looking for what I needed without any of the three seemingly bored employees saying a word to me. When I approached the counter with my arm full of items, all the cashier could say was "looks like a Christmas present right thur!" Uhhhh yep. I know it seemed odd that I'd call them for gardening stuff, but I figured with their unique selection, I might find some cool stuff. Well I did. Expired seeds! (That I didn't realize were two-months expired until I got home.) Now I'm going to have to go back and return them. Excellent. But their stock is crazy -- everything from adirondack chairs to collegiate paper goods, Big Green Eggs, paint, Christmas decor, bird seed...you name it, they have it. I had to return an online bought item ( more than $40 worth) that I picked up at this store. They called in the Manager to process the return. He opened the item to check the condition. it was barely used but had a small stain on it and he instantly refused to take it back. He told me that there are a list of conditions which he can print for me, that says that the Item has to be in pristine condition. He even gave me a quick Math lecture on a Binary 0 or 1 and what it means! He made no effort to give me a suggestion as to what I can do to possibly return it and was just plain indifferent. No sign of any good customer service. When I told him that I will probably never return to his store again in the future, his reaction was like " I can care less" Long story short, I cleaned up the item a bit more and took it to another Ace store near by and they gladly processed my return and help me get my money back. My new favorite hardware store! Okay, so I needed to rewire my dryer cord to a four prong cord (new electrical codes in new homes). And new recessed dryer vent has oval shape. Don't like getting taken advantage of by electricians so I figured I'd DIY. So, I went to the HD...they didn't know jack. Went to Lowes...they didn't know squat! Went to ACE...voilà!! As a member of a church nearby, and now pastoring to seniors in the area, I have occasion to go in this hardware store for home repair and handyman items quite frequently. I've never been able to stump them on finding what I need amongst their bins and racks. They frequently mark down seasonal merchandise without advertising, so it's an adventure in shopping sometimes. Fifteen years ago, I wandered in here and scored on a HUGE cast iron BBQ smoker that was their last in inventory for 75% off. These guys are real pros and super courteous. read more

I needed Xmas lights to wrap around my palm tree for winter, called and Derek helped me, till I'd gotten there to make my my purchase he had done extra work and checked out the product to make sure it was right for what I needed. First, if Ace Hardware is a legit customer service company, it'll have the integrity to give customers the option of lodging a complaint, not just a short list of those "Subjects" on the Ace website that the company deems are the only possible reasons (track order, etc.) I'd go there. Second, the Ace Rewards program is not. The redemption windows for offers are so short and small they create more frustration and dissatisfaction than they are worth for either the brand or the customer. For the umpteenth time I've visited this Ace location at 3960 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092 where I've been a customer for 28 years and spent thousands $$$. I present a $5 off rewards card Ace sent to me for spending a few hundred dollars there. It's 4 days past the expiration. "Oh, we're so sorry." It's like a recording and no latitude is extended. Lump it sucker. Third, the LP tank "tango" must end. Door sign reads "Do Not Come In With LP Tank". Okay, leave it my truck. Go to counter, tell the clerk who's waited on me dozens of times that "I'd like an LP tank refill please" and give her my credit card. "Oh, we'll have to have the date checked." (so telling me to go BACK outside). I tell her it's a new tank, only 2 years old. "Oh no sir, it's a $10K fine if we fill an old tank." Okay, I know that, she knows that and the date is STAMPED on the tank where the Ace guy outside at the refueling station will see and check it. Raise your hand if you like to be treated as a liar AND stupid. Last, I've had it with this Ace location, staff and corporate. Yeah, friendly most of the time and damn convenient so I'm not looking forward to driving further but I'm fed up with the indifference, ridiculous procedures and phony "rewards". Took in a leaf blower and power washer which were to be repaired in 4-6 weeks. 4 months later after repeated calls and not having my calls returned I finally was able to reach the repair man. Instead of replacing the starter cord on the power washer as I requested he found other things that were "wrong". The washer was working fine until the cord broke. He could not repair the leaf blower. I will pick up both items today and take them to a reputable service place. Will never make this mistake again!! read more

They took the time to walk me through the options w/out pushing one model over another. Gassed it up and ran it for me. Made sure I was fine w/it. Most places just don't care.
