I've been doing business with this place for over 20 years, back when it actually meant something. Since the ownership change, this place has completely gone downhill. I was sold the wrong parts to service my own equipment -- that alone tells you everything about their attention to detail. I brought my machine back in to have them correct it, and at the same time asked them to address a hydraulic leak. Picked it up... still leaking. So what exactly did I pay for? It gets worse. They serviced my hedge trimmer and told me I had until Saturday to pick it up. I show up on Saturday -- and it's gone. Missing. No explanation, no accountability, no effort to resolve it. Just nothing. That's completely unacceptable. The bigger issue is the complete lack of professionalism and respect. After multiple bad experiences, I returned to drop my mower off again and voiced my concerns. Instead of trying to fix anything, I was told -- verbatim -- to "get your mower and get out," along with profanity. That's not customer service. That's a business that has completely lost control. Between wrong parts, incomplete repairs, missing equipment, and outright disrespect, this is NOT the same place it used to be. I wouldn't trust them with anything at this point. See you tomorrow lol you have no idea what I have in store for you guys - you cursed at the wrong person. In customer service and have to deal with complaints in the automotive business I don't tell them to get the car and get the f out and don't want their business I hear them and correct the issues especially if we messed up. Took my machine to them as they are the only Wright Mfg services in the area. They came back with a repair estimate and I accepted (engine was smoking). Got a call the repair was complete, went to pick it up. Loaded the machine, and took it home. Upon unloading the machine the engine blew up. Called Kevin and he said I should bring the machine back & so I did. Come to find out they didn't check the oil before returning to me and that was the cause of the engine failure. Kevin calls me back with 3 options of handling the situation. One was return my money and the broken machine. Two was credit me some money towards the purchase of a new machine. Three was repair the machine with a new engine, yet have me help pay for some of this. I agreed to a specific amount against my better judgement. Some weeks later the machine is ready for pickup, go retrieve the machine. First time I use the machine the battery box catches on fire and melts the terminals off the battery. Upon further inspection they pinched the positive battery cable between the engine and the mounting surface during the installation. After 4 hours of my weekend to repair the machine so it's not dead in the middle of my lawn. I sent Kevin an email and go no response, tried to call multiple times during the week. Finally got in touch with Kevin and was less than empathetic. I asked for some of my money back as I spent my Sunday repairing what I paid his repair shop to do. He told me to be lucky that I have a new engine and I was getting nothing. After purchasing a new battery and 4 hours of my own time this shop is incapable of repairing anything. read more

I went to Turf Machine to have my lawn mower blade replaced. I already had the replacement blade so I only needed labor. The young lady who greeted me was very nice, and helped me get my lawn mower out of my car, which I didn't expect her to do. She had very nice nails, and if my nails looked that good, I wouldn't be touching someone's dirty mower, but she had no problem with it. I took a very short time to replace my blade so I didn't spend much time in the showroom. But what I was able to see I appreciated - spare parts and new equipment all neatly displayed. Once my mower was ready a young man helped me reload my mower into my trunk. Again, I didn't expect any help. That they did this means a lot because not a lot of places help out anymore. This place gets busy because when I was there, 2 people came in and as I was leaving, 2 more were coming. This was about 10:30am on a Saturday morning. Plan accordingly. I had a good experience and would definitely go back to Turf Machine for another service. read more

I rarely, if ever, write reviews, but this place was bad enough to change that. I took a Toro mower in that I had just purchased a few months prior and showed their staff a video of the smoke it was emitting, explained that I turned it off almost immediately after it started smoking, and that I wouldn't expect any mechanical issues given how new it was. After a week, I got a call from Turf Machine telling me it would be $160 to fix the mower (a mower I just purchased for $260). They told me the carburetor needed to be replaced and some other nonsense because it had too much oil. I asked if they or I could just drain the oil, but was told they can't tell me that until they start working on it. In the end, I chose not to have them "fix" what they knew was a brand new carburetor. I took the mower home, drained the oil in 5 minutes and saved myself a $160 for them to replace a part that wasn't broken to begin with. For that alone, I still wouldn't write a review. The manager is the main reason, who got defensive and mad at me for balking at their "diagnosis" (which again was completely wrong). He was quick to tell me how much more experience he had with mowers. He's either lying and has no experience, or he's just lazy and incompetent. My guess is the latter. My advice, don't trust this place. read more

Turf Machine Company has been in this location for a significant amount of time. We used them for a lawn mower "tune-up" over ten years ago and this is the second time they have serviced our lawn mower, but the first time it has taken several phone calls to find out when/if the mower would be ready. This is a busy shop (particularly in the springtime) and they are not going to nail down a completion date for you so have lots of patience when dealing with them. I went to purchase a battery for my mower and the battery wasn't functional and went back to the store, all the idiots told me that we don't return but they never told me "NO RETURN" when I purchase and when I told them you guys should have told me before I purchase, the manager said "sorry for that" The worst thing is that all including the so called owner act like they still in Mexico and no customer service appearance on them. The short cashier lady, who speak through her nose, so rude and has no idea how to communicate with customer. The funniest thing she did was telling me to leave the battery for them without any compensation. These guys were great. My husband bought a Husqvarna lawn mower from Lowes a little over a year ago and recently one of the wheels broke while he was mowing the lawn. After some run around with Lowes and the Husqvarna hotline, they directed us towards these guys as an authorized repair shop. We emailed back and forth with James G. there and he had us set up and ready to go by the time we arrived. Went in early-ish on a Saturday morning and they took the broken wheel right off and put a brand new one back on in under two minutes. Easy peasy, in and out. It's nice to deal with a company that will honor their word and do what they say. Hopefully our mower doesn't break again but if it does, we'll be going here again for sure. read more

Avoid this company. Our Husqvarna riding lawn mower has an issue with the belt falling off. They picked it up, put the belt back on, returned it, and three seconds into a test mow on our yard, it fell off again. Spoke to Matt who told us they would be charging us for another pickup. When we complained that they didn't resolve the issue and that this was unfair, they immediately copped a bad attitude and condescending tone. He also refused to give out the owners name, at first. After a couple of conversations with Matt, we then spoke to Kevin, who said he was the owner. He was even worse. More rude, even more condescending and he didn't care that we were unhappy and still had a non-functioning machine where the belt keeps falling off. Said he "didn't have the time to sit on the phone all day and argue with me". Therein lies the problem, Kevin. When you have an unhappy customer, you take the time to listen to them. They won't stand behind their work and they insisted that, surely, WE must be doing something stupid to make it keep falling off. No integrity here, no customer service whatsoever. They do not care if their customer is satisfied and quickly adopt a serious attitude when there is an issue. You can read for yourself in these reviews, that when the customer is unhappy, they reply with accusations and excuses instead of adopting concern and good customer service. A little kindness goes a long way, but a bad attitude towards your customer will go even farther in the opposite direction. I've already reported them to customer service at Husqvarna corporate, as Turf Machine represents their brand... poorly. read more

I started my lawn business 5 years ago and keeping my equipment running has been one of my biggest challenges. I was referred to Turf Machine by a fellow landscaper and they took me in as if I was one of their own. I have dealt with Howard Brothers in the past but will never go back! They quoted me $2300 to replace the hydro pump on my mower. However, I did not see any signs of the hyrdo pump touched (after diagnostic)... TM rebuilt my pump and Shannon the tech educated me on everything he did to my Scag mower. These guys are going to be my " Go To " for all repairs. My mower is running great and more importantly.. I would never reccomend these folks to anybody. I called prior to coming to verify they had my part in stock...they said yea....I went and purchased it...come to find out it doesn't fit! Why? Cause it's the WRONG PIECE. Something so simple...made so complicated. I had to make 3 trips to Norcross only to be disappointed and still without a working weedwacker. Disappointment don't even begin to describe...I reported them to the BBB they were so rude. In all the time I've been dealing with people...these folks really just don't care. Making me pay more after all the legwork I DID? No dear. I already paid full price for the piece. It is NOT MY PROBLEM Husqvarna doesn't make the attachment in one piece, OK? This was YOUR JOB to figure out..not mine! That's the bottom line, and for me having to make so many trips back and forth to your place of business, doing things that aren't my job....I think you should offer to cover the remaining cost as a COURTESY. I took my mower to Turf Machine in Feb. 2019. They kept it for 12 weeks and charged me $640.00. After paying for an oil change and new filter, they didn't replace the oil. When I brought it home, I mowed six feet and then it seized up. I had a 13 HP Honda mower in good condition and now have a rebuilt one because of their negligence. After getting it back the second time and being charged for a new belt, within minutes of trying to mow, the belt broke. It was the old belt and the belt had never been replaced. While in business for over 32 years, the current owner, Kevin and the shop manager have only been there a few years. My mower doesn't run, I spent $640.00 and they kept it for 12 weeks, but they say that they are done. I don't even know if the drive train repair I took it in for was completed. It is now the end of May and after $640.00, I have to finish the job myself. Save yourself a ton of trouble and don't do business with Turf Machine. read more
