    Chips and salsa

Excellent service! The chips and salsa are so good and so fresh. Perfectly spicy salsa served with crunchy, fresh, chips. My daughter and I shared the Marcos polos and the sauce is amazing. Highly recommend!!

Stopped in for an appetizer and drink, both of which were delicious. We shared a trio of empanadas and the vanilla mango mojito. The empanadas were light and perfectly fried, served with a large dollop of guacamole. The cocktail was super fresh, not overly sweet, and they gave us the shaker with the extra drink that didn't fit in the glass, essentially creating a second cocktail. Super happy about that! Great service, friendly staff. A little more of a bar vibe with a handful of tables. There was a loud group of young women there at the same time as us and it kinda made the noise-level obnoxious, but that's not the establishment's fault. Happy with our choice to stop in.

    Seafood burrito, very good

Went with 6 others last Monday night and found the outside patio are very busy, so we went inside to dine. Orders were taken quickly and we were give very tasty chips and salsa while we waited for our food, drinks came pretty fast. My very large margarita was really good. I ordered seafood burrito, portions were HUGE and very good. I tried my friends pork stew dish and thought it was also very tasty. Prices were a bit high, but I feel my seafood burrito was worth the experience. Refried beans were REALLY god too.

    Aji de Gallina Plate

Was in town for some great skiing and wanted to follow up with some good Mexican food. This place did not disappoint and had great Peruvian options. There's actually three locations in town. I went with the Aji de Gallina Plate. Shredded chicken breast and peas in a creamy Peruvian sauce and boiled egg. Served with white rice and bolitas de causa (cold chile lime infused mashed potatoes).

Hola has the best margaritas in town hands down. For 1 margarita you really get 2 1/2 because it comes with a shaker full of the extra. You can also get a pitcher too if you have a group. Of all the flavors they offer, red cactus is the best. I'm not sure what exactly it is, but it's perfectly sweet and so easy to drink! There's also free chips and salsa (green is the best) so even if you're just there for the margaritas you get a little snack!

I had the chicken chimichanga and chicken enchilada.

We've eaten at the Hola! in Sunriver multiple times but we've yet to try the one in Bend. We ended up here tonight. Menu was slightly different but we found things we like easy enough. The weather was mild and it was noisy inside so we opted to sit outside. The drinks were great (husband got the Bend Old Fashioned and I got the Vanilla Margarita) and the food was good (husband got three carne asada tacos and I had the chicken chimichanga and chicken enchilada). The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive.

So we came here twice in our trip as my boss is from Peru and they have the dishes he likes. The first time I order a chicken soup and a Peruvian style ceviche and they order the typical Peruvian dishes plus a taco . The soups was really good but nothing special and the Peruvian ceviche was meh... the food overall in my opinion was meh to be honest. I have been in this hunger strike for some time now so I ate everything I ordered but it doesn't mean I was passionate about it. Second time I ordered the Carne Asada, meat was a bit hard but did not expect it to be the softest so l wasn't disappointed. Service both times was good so I do give them a 4 start for effort on that area but overall is a 3. Their bathroom/restrooms are in the building but not in the restaurant and you need a key to open the door so don't forget to ask your waiter for it. I didn't try any of their drinks so I can't tell you about them but on our second time one person on our party had a margarita and they seem to enjoy it. We had the fresh guacamole (not $15 worn it maybe west prices on?) and it was ok. Nothing special or huge (my party got to it before I could take a picture) basic really. My party seemed to enjoy their choices so I'll assume it was at least a 4 for them but they aren't writing the review, so. Ok, come and try. The end.

Fresca margarita (left, strong); Marcos paloma (right, not so strong)

Hola! - there are three in Bend, one in Redmond, one in Sunriver and one in the western forest in Camp Sherman. The downtown Bend franchise is a relatively small space with five or six inside tables, a ten-seat bar and a few sidewalk tables. We sat at the elevated banquet seating at the west end of the restaurant which affords a good view of the space but is not not recommended for those with lower back problems (required my rolled up jacket as additional lumbar support.) The bar is quite intimate. I noticed quite a few folks coming in for take-out orders. Music set at a moderate, conversation-friendly volume, something I appreciate. The menu is quite a bit shorter than what you find at your average Mexican restaurant - there's no eight page laminated monstrosity to pore over here. That tells me that Hola! concentrates on what they do best. Billed as Nouveau Mexican-Peruvian Cuisine,' Hola! promises something different and to certain extent delivers. - Eclectic list of margaritas. Hola! has won 'Best Margaritas in Town' awards for a number of years. Marcos Paloma: interesting, especially with the Tajin salt rim, but not one I'd order again. Somewhat weak pour. Fresca Margarita: more like the standard version. Also came with a Tajin rim not noted on menu. Strong pour. In fact, I think the two Frescas we ordered were too strong and probably should have come with a warning. Caipirinhas: a Brazilian margarita. A bit like the Marcos but without the Tajin. Good but I'd not order this again either. I think I'm more a tequila-Triple Sec- lime juice kind of margarita drinker, which they do have on the menu here. I just wanted to try something different. As mentioned, I think the alcohol content of the three margarita varieties we tried was wildly inconsistent. - Chips & salsa: Two tasty salsas provided with fresh tortilla chips. The red salsa is picante; the green not so much. - Enchiladas Rancheras: Very good, much like what you'd get at any Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurant. If there was a Peruvian slant to this dish, I missed it, so probably this one is part of the Mexican side of 'Mexican-Peruvian Cuisine.' Very well prepared shredded beef, rice and beans. - Ceviche Traditional: Here we have something that diverges from what Americans would consider the norm, a Peruvian take on the classic dish (although my Googling tells me ceviche originated in South America and maybe even Peru). Quite good - a bit spicy with the amarillo chiles so the heat intolerant should use caution. Very well prepared dish. Our service was exceptional. Prices are maybe a little high but not outrageously so. Food costs are up everywhere these days. Recommended.

Delicious food, went there a few days ago as we were visiting bend We had the traditional ceviche which had strong flavors and different from the other ceviche but nonetheless delicious, Then we had two of the Peruvian main dishes, one beef one and the other sea food dish ( can't remember the names) they were both delicious Exquisite taste and fine sauces We were sitting outside around sunset so the ambiance was nice, it was a Tuesday night so not too busy and there was a skilled guitarist playing across the street which made the nice even more beautiful

Visit: 11-30-2019 Not really sure why I am not a huge fan of this location, but I am not. Maybe it is management but the brand here seems to not be as concerned about customers having a fun dining and paying experience as lets say, the Old Mill location which is great. Location: Excellent and prime real estate for any restaurant. Ambiance: Pretty great, watching people downtown trying to parallel park is always fun. Kind of romantic if you're into that kind of thing, we are. Also, a fun bar at times. Menu: Excellent choices and drinks offer a good selection. Service: Not so great, on this visit waitstaff seemed indifferent to us being there, taking our order, or delivering our food. Our food was warm at best when it arrived. There were 4 tables so Hola, something was wrong. One couple got up and left. Food: ok but not as good as other location for there same menu item. Was not plated as well and was just, food, just lukewarm food. Value: it was ok, we don't expect or look for value but when downtown would recommend you visit here but Barrio is much better and a block away, more friendly, better menu, and a better overall value than this Hola. Not a hater, just say'in ....

After all that hard work, our family always ends up back at El Rodeo. It's our go-to spot and has been for years. The service is always great and the people working there are genuinely friendly and kind. It feels like a real family restaurant where they're happy you showed up. The bar is also a fantastic place to grab a drink or margarita, play a little video poker, and end up talking to half the locals in Bend. Somehow you go in for dinner and leave feeling like you attended a neighborhood reunion. The food is exactly what you want when you're craving Mexican: hot, good, and a lot of it. I have never once left there hungry or disappointed. Plates show up looking like they were designed for a lumberjack who skipped lunch. They recently remodeled the bar, which looks nice... but personally I believe Mexican restaurants should be built once in about 1987 and then left exactly the same forever. It's part of the charm. That said, the remodel won't stop me from going back regularly. Great people, great food, strong margaritas, and the kind of place that makes Bend feel like home. Five stars all day.

They cater to their clientele, the people of Bend. I don't blame them at all for catering to their customer's tastes. I ordered an all meat burrito, some fish tacos and a couple of carne asada tacos. Let's talk first about their tacos. The tortillas are flour tortillas. Most Mexican joints use corn tortillas. The fish tacos are made with tilapia. They are grilled, not fried. Not quite the same fish tacos that we have in Southern California. The carne asada was grilled. However, both tacos seemed to be missing flavor. Adding salsa did not help. The all meat burrito was indeed all meat. I thought I asked for carne asada, instead, I got a burrito full of shredded beef. Again, adding seasoning would've helped. I'll be super nice to them and give them 3 stars. But, if you come from an area with lots of Mexican food, you won't like this spot.
