Pretty decent place. Food was okay, could have been better. The sushi chef was not in that day so that was pretty weird. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance. Our servers were great.

The food was great, the beef absolutely fell off the bone in our ramen, and a generous portion too. I believe their sushi chef isn't in on Wednesdays, but the sushi was very nice as well. The ambiance was welcoming, very pretty tree in the center. Also funny because I remember 15 years ago when it was a baker square so I can't quite get that out of my mind but they really did a great job! Our waitress was prompt and kind as well. Very unique option for the area, fair pricing, and delicious! I would absolutely reccomend stopping by!

Plum wine with my seaweed salad? Yes PLEASE! the decor is so pretty

This was my first time here since they opened, and all I have to say it 12/10! You did the old bakers Square PROUD! Immediately walking in, going around the corner the first that caught my eyes were the 2 sumo statues and the huge cherry blossom trees and the lovely grid of Sake bottles that lined the walls. Overall, very aesthetically pleasing! The best part, the food! We had started off with seaweed salad and takoyaki, next up was our veggie Ramen! They offer sides that you can add to your Ramen, and they do not skimp on the portions! The veggie ramen had bean sprouts, boiled bok choy, green onion razzle dazzle and wood ear mushrooms! I had gotten a side of kimchi for my ramen and it definitely smacked! We ended our meal with taro milk boba tea, I felt bad I didn't get all the boba pearls out of my cup! Our server was fast and friendly, and she made the experience worth while! We will DEFINITELY be back! Thank you Li Yang

    This is the spicy ramen.

I was disappointed with the offerings. It was OK but nothing above average. We will not return.

Food is very bland and not cooked well. No flavor in the ramen. Also any sushi items are not available on Wednesday. Good service though.

Their fruit teas are genuinely excellent--bright, refreshing, and bursting with flavor. That said, they do tend to load them up with ice, which can make it a little tricky to reach the tapioca pearls at the bottom unless you give it a good stir or wait for a bit. I also sampled their brown sugar milk teas, which were smooth and enjoyable--though notably milder on the sweetness than some other places. If you prefer your milk tea with a serious sugar kick, this might feel a bit tame, but I appreciated the balance . What really impressed me, though, was how dependable and consistently well-made everything felt. With only a handful of boba spots in town, Boba Tea & Coffee easily ranks among the best in the area--evident from the local buzz and repeat visits. The location couldn't be more convenient--just steps away from the Target EV charging stations--so I can sip a fruit tea while my car gets juiced up . The staff are friendly, the space is clean, and it has a laid-back vibe that works whether you're grabbing a quick drink or settling in for a bit. Overall, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. If they dialed back the ice just a touch and kicked up the sweetness on the teas, they'd hit a perfect score. Still, this is my go-to pre-charging chill spot--and I'll definitely be back.

Vannie’s House - I love this place this is for boba fans and they have stamp card!

One of Aurora's (Chicago Suburbs) Best Boba Tea Spots!…read more After traveling around the world and tasting boba from Taiwan to Singapore, I can confidently say that Vannie House in Aurora delivers some of the best tapioca pearls I've had in the U.S. The pearls are perfectly chewy, fresh, and absolutely on par with the quality I've experienced in top-tier Asian tea shops. One thing I really appreciate is the tapioca-to-drink ratio. Most boba shops either overload you with pearls or drown everything in too much liquid. Vannie House nails the balance, every sip and scoop feels intentional and well crafted. I tried several drinks on my visit: M9 (modified with Thai Tea) -- Smooth, flavorful, and extremely well blended. A3 Orange Peach with Black Tea -- Sweet, refreshing, and surprisingly layered in flavor. Hot Chai Tea -- Rich, warm, and incredibly smooth. Easily one of the best chai teas I've had at any boba shop. The interior decor is also a standout, clean, modern, cozy, and aesthetically designed. It's the kind of place you actually want to sit and enjoy your drink rather than rush out. Huge shoutout to Niko, whose recommendations were absolutely on point. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, exactly the kind of service that keeps you coming back. If you're in Aurora and looking for high-quality boba tea, Vannie House (my #47 Boba Tea Spot) is a must-try. I'll 100% be returning whenever I'm in the area.

The weird part was asking if i had a punch card and when i said no they didn't offer me one either? Either way, i got the taro strawberry smoothie and a hazelnut iced coffee. Neither of us enjoyed the drinks because they're very syrup heavy resulting in a drink that's wayyyyy too sweet. It just tastes like drinking concentrated syrup and powder blended/mixed with milk. Barely tasted any taro. Having some real ingredients like frozen strawberries with taro powder is what I'd expect at this price point. Not both ingredients being powdered and syrups. The tapioca itself was really good, soft and not too chewy. But there's just way too much of it, you're eating boba more than enjoying a drink. The brown sugar syrup that the boba sits in doesn't help with the additional sweetness in the drink. Wouldn't recommend for real drinks

Tea Yard - Matcha tornado and brown sugar milk tea with creme brulee.

This time, although that sign was still up over one menu, the rest of them were not. So, I took a chance and ordered it. I asked for half sugar, because I usually ask for 25%, but I figured with matcha frappe, I might need a little. It turned out good, but I think I expected more of the creme brulee to be present, and that was my mistake. It was mainly a matcha frappe (matcha and ice blended together) with a hint of the creme brulee along the side. By 1/3 of the way down, my mouth was numb from the cold. I probably won't order this one again, at least not in 30 F weather- haha. My partner got the same drink as last time, except this time he ordered a large. He got the brown sugar milk tea; 50% sugar; little ice. Add creme brulee topping. That was delicious, just like last time. The people working here are very sweet. I'm not sure if they are a family, but they seem like it. They work very well as a unit with the young woman at the register, and the elder man and woman making the drinks. The inside is cute. There is one small table and two benched areas with various designs on the walls, and the toy machines toward the back. We are planning to come here more often and try other flavors!

I am a boba fan for life…read more Emily and I booked a trip to Bloomington to try some breweries and she mentioned she never had Boba before so.... luckily there was a Boba place around where we were going. The outside of Boba for Life looks unassuming but once you step inside, you are treated to a visual smorgasbord of art on the wall, BOBA written in tile on the floor, random odds and ends for sale against the wall, and a friendly bobarista. Emily got a strawberry/mango tea and I got the dirty brown sugar boba. The lady was working alone so our drinks took a hot minute to make due to prior people waiting and a lady coming in to place an order. Emily and I browsed the eclectic interior while waiting. Along one wall was a lot of their options painted on the wall. Some of them looked interesting but one of my complaints is that I couldn't quite discern what each drink consisted of. The wall nor menu kind of hinted at what each one contained. There was a few things I wanted to order but just didn't know what they contained. So, I settled on the dirty brown sugar as it sounded like a safe option. We got our drinks and booked it to our next stop. We tried both each other's drinks and I dug the mix she came up with and she dug my brown sugar boba. She did point out that the entire bottom of my drink was brown sugar so I took that as a cue to mix it up a bit before continuing my drink. Aside from the interesting interior, I wouldn't hesitate to come back and try any of the other drinks now that I know what we are working with. Plus boba is fun. It's like a drink and a snack all at once.
