As a vegetarian, it's little hard to find good restaurants when I travel. This place was 40 minutes away from our hotel and it was worth driving. It's a cute little pizza restaurant with beautiful outdoor seating and suitable for large groups. We customised our pizza to remove the meat. It was one of the best pizzas we had with generous cheese. The owners and waiters were really kind to accommodate our needs. We loved the place so much that we went twice though it was a detour from our actual plan. read more

Service was a little slow, but they did note I had come in just as the rush was over so the kitchen was recovering. The pizza seemed to be Chicago style. I recently gave Hogback Pizza an honest review, and the owner's response confirmed everything wrong with this place. Instead of taking simple, constructive feedback about bland, flavorless pizza, the owner chose to belittle and dismiss me. I have zero reason to come back or "talk it out" in person. As a business owner, basic professionalism and respect for customers should be standard--it clearly isn't here. I will not recommend this place to anyone and, if given the chance, I will actively warn others to stay away. Calling me an "Internet bully" doesn't change the fact that the pizza lacks flavor and the management lacks decorum. Own your product and your attitude instead of attacking customers who speak the truth. read more

Been awhile since I've been in. Food was still good but didn't have the flavor I remembered. The service lacked quite a bit. As soon as we ordered the lady asked if we could check out. Sure, I guess but I probably would have ordered more if not! Then we had to listen to one of the servers talk about how his stomach hurt and he felt like ****. Not just once, but our entire meal! I used to love this place and now they are rarely open and I'm just not sure I'll be back. Unfortunate because the food is good quality. Such an interesting response from the owner..."Some people just like to complain, so the whole world hears them" or whatever you said that wasn't warranted. Shows pretty poor business ownership skills not being able to take some criticism around the possibility of an employee working sick!!! Adjusting my rating because the way you mention "verbal lashing " makes me think you did absolutely nothing to prevent sick employees from working. Near Glenwood Springs this place is not fancy and more blue collar. It has a few pinball machines that really look tremendous! I miss those machines just as I miss the older slot machines. Nowadays everything is digital so seeing these pinball machines was pure joy for me. Now I'm originally from NYC so I think I know pizza quite well. This little place has excellent pizza that brings back those NYC memories. Tasty with great sauce it hit the spot. Some of the prior reviews are right on point so adding it all up you know this is the place for pizza. They have more and I also enjoyed the sausage surrounded by dough. Get it you won't regret it! They do square slice the pie but whatever it doesn't matter. We did take out and if you are in the area by all means give them a try. Top notch! read more

This restaurant is clean and Covid friendly with outdoor seating as well as guidelines to help social distance like marked places to stand in line. Friendly happy employees greeted me and took my order. I had the thin crust Boots Electric with bacon, artichokes, mushrooms, basil and spinach and garlic. The pizza was flavorful and had fresh ingredients, yummy and cheesy. Slightly sweet sauce, crispy cracker like crust. This pizza lets the ingredients carry the pizza. Both styles are quite good but I prefer the deep dish. If you bring your own sealed vegan cheese they will make a pizza for you. Only issue is you pay the same price in addition to $6 you're out for buying your own cheese. Pinball machines used to swap more often too. Not ding on stars but wish the selection was updated again. Tried to stop to celebrate a personal accomplishment. Felt very unwelcomed from the moment I walked in with my service dog. The manager very rudely expressed her doubt that he was a service dog and was only going to allow him to be chained on the outside of the fence while I sat on the patio (literally having a fence between me and my service dog). I have had some bad pizza but this takes the cake...I mean pie. We ordered pepperoni, bacon and mushroom with extra sauce. They were extremely slim with the toppings and thank God because they had 5 long strips of RAW bacon.
