Skip this dump. The staff did not allow me with my service dog even after explaining what service he provides, and they were rude.

As a vegetarian, it's little hard to find good restaurants when I travel. This place was 40 minutes away from our hotel and it was worth driving. It's a cute little pizza restaurant with beautiful outdoor seating and suitable for large groups. We customised our pizza to remove the meat. It was one of the best pizzas we had with generous cheese. The owners and waiters were really kind to accommodate our needs. We loved the place so much that we went twice though it was a detour from our actual plan. read more

Best pizza in a couple counties. Please be aware the seating is sparse so don't be disappointed if you take a group and you are standing around a tiny table but if you are a couple & you can sit at the bar by or at a random tiny table, either way you'll get damn good pizza. Be patient or get a beer and an appetizer, order for pick-up- damn good crust, minimal menu but super good. Summer time seating is maximized outdoors, fantastic view of the mountain. So cozy and lovable read more

Great pizza with fresh ingredients, friendly staff, fast service, and consistently delicious food. Highly recommend Hogback Pizza. As a local, this is a great spot in the valley. read more

Came in and ordered out. A couple of slices of cheese and a build your own. Delicious. Service was a little slow, but they did note I had come in just as the rush was over so the kitchen was recovering. The pizza seemed to be Chicago style. You can order deep-dish or taverna style, which is the standard, deep-dish running just a bit higher. Bar atmosphere, though the whole place really smells like fresh pizza. Outdoor patio as well. A couple of pinball games. Really good pizza, highly recommend! read more

I recently gave Hogback Pizza an honest review, and the owner's response confirmed everything wrong with this place. Instead of taking simple, constructive feedback about bland, flavorless pizza, the owner chose to belittle and dismiss me. I have zero reason to come back or "talk it out" in person. As a business owner, basic professionalism and respect for customers should be standard--it clearly isn't here. I will not recommend this place to anyone and, if given the chance, I will actively warn others to stay away. Calling me an "Internet bully" doesn't change the fact that the pizza lacks flavor and the management lacks decorum. Own your product and your attitude instead of attacking customers who speak the truth. read more

Hands down best pizza place in the valley! From the customer service, the atmosphere, the food it's all top of the top! Might be my top pizza place in Colorado!!! They have the best staff a restaurant could have. read more

Hogback Pizza - Two slices of pizza, one pepperoni and ricotta, and one delicious chicken and ricotta!!! - Pizza Near Me - New Castle, Colorado

Great atmosphere with pinball and a patio, friendly service and the best pizza in the region. Love square slices

Decisions, decisions....calzone or meatball dub...although I did see pizza slices available. I chose calzone with mushrooms and spinach.. 3rd choice is included also... but 2 ok for me. Tomato sauce on the side. All delicious! Bottom of calzone could have used another minute to finishing cooking, but good deer vision made! read more

Been awhile since I've been in. Food was still good but didn't have the flavor I remembered. The service lacked quite a bit. As soon as we ordered the lady asked if we could check out. Sure, I guess but I probably would have ordered more if not! Then we had to listen to one of the servers talk about how his stomach hurt and he felt like ****. Not just once, but our entire meal! I used to love this place and now they are rarely open and I'm just not sure I'll be back. Unfortunate because the food is good quality. Such an interesting response from the owner..."Some people just like to complain, so the whole world hears them" or whatever you said that wasn't warranted. Shows pretty poor business ownership skills not being able to take some criticism around the possibility of an employee working sick!!! Adjusting my rating because the way you mention "verbal lashing " makes me think you did absolutely nothing to prevent sick employees from working. With so many other options out there will not be back. Plenty of other options. read more

A locals favorite in downtown New Castle. From the vast selection of beers to the kick ass quality Specialty pizzas. Indoor/outdoor/side yard dining along with classic pinball machines and other games while you wait. Do not miss ordering some hog knuckles, they are a MUST! read more

My family of four stopped in since we were staying close by. We ordered two pizzas, The El Guapo and Triple Bypass, along with a 457 salad. I am a pizza snob and it really takes a lot to impress me. The pizza was amazing. It was seriously some of the best I have ever eaten. The salad looked and tasted like something you would find in a fine-dining establishment. If you are staying in New Castle or Glenwood Springs, I would strongly recommend stopping in. You will be happy you did. read more

My favorite pizza nearby. Nice staff. Get the triple bypass. Cool decorations, pinball, outdoor seating.

Such a super cool spot! Inside and out! We don't mind driving to eat here from Basalt. It is so worth it! The pizza we order is off the hook! Order the steelbender if you like spice!! Delish! Crust and ingredients are savory! read more

Best pizza and calzones in the valley in my opinion! Always consistently delicious. Friendly, attentive staff, great beer options, fast service, and owners who fully support our community. I've been going there since they opened nearly 30 years ago and they have always been fantastic. I like the fun atmosphere with pinball machines and a nice patio and occasionally live music. Great restaurant and great people! read more

The pizza is like an elevated Domino's thin crust. Got an 18-inch specialty pie (the Traditional Neglect) and it was a ton of food. Two of us could only finish half. Good topping ratio. Lovely spot on Main Street. Can watch the sunset from the restaurant. read more

Great pizzas. Small facility, but we were able to get three of us at a table to enjoy a pie.

457 salad was great. Forgot to take a picture. My husband and I got the large thinking we would have leftovers for later. We ate twice what we usually would for a salad. My husband loved the pizza. I would have liked it better if I liked a lot of cheese. I will know to order light on the cheese next time. We will come back next time we are in town. read more

If you're ever in the Glenwood/New Castle area stop here. Delicious pizza with a perfect crisp crust. We also ordered a side salad and cheese bread which were both just as delicious. Local friendly establishment with a charming outside seating area. This will be a stop whenever we are in the area. read more

Near Glenwood Springs this place is not fancy and more blue collar. It has a few pinball machines that really look tremendous! I miss those machines just as I miss the older slot machines. Nowadays everything is digital so seeing these pinball machines was pure joy for me. Now I'm originally from NYC so I think I know pizza quite well. This little place has excellent pizza that brings back those NYC memories. Tasty with great sauce it hit the spot. Some of the prior reviews are right on point so adding it all up you know this is the place for pizza. They have more and I also enjoyed the sausage surrounded by dough. Get it you won't regret it! They do square slice the pie but whatever it doesn't matter. We did take out and if you are in the area by all means give them a try. Top notch! read more

Unique pizza offerings, lovely aromas and a fun atmosphere. This restaurant is clean and Covid friendly with outdoor seating as well as guidelines to help social distance like marked places to stand in line. Friendly happy employees greeted me and took my order. I had the thin crust Boots Electric with bacon, artichokes, mushrooms, basil and spinach and garlic. The pizza was flavorful and had fresh ingredients, yummy and cheesy. Slightly sweet sauce, crispy cracker like crust. This pizza lets the ingredients carry the pizza. This wasn't too salty or greasy, which is so refreshing. A quality pizza. I want to try more pizzas here! Great find. read more

Great hometown hand-tossed pizza. Everything is fresh and the patio is perfect! Add a microbrew and it's an awesome night out

The best pizza in the western slope. Fun place with outdoor seating! Check out there menu on Facebook.

Both styles are quite good but I prefer the deep dish. If you bring your own sealed vegan cheese they will make a pizza for you. Only issue is you pay the same price in addition to $6 you're out for buying your own cheese. Pinball machines used to swap more often too. Not ding on stars but wish the selection was updated again. Will change this to 5 stars the moment they start carrying a dairy free chess option. read more

Tried to stop to celebrate a personal accomplishment. Felt very unwelcomed from the moment I walked in with my service dog. The manager very rudely expressed her doubt that he was a service dog and was only going to allow him to be chained on the outside of the fence while I sat on the patio (literally having a fence between me and my service dog). Instead of arguing ADA law, we just left as I will not spend my money somewhere I feel so unwelcomed. Clearly my business was not valued due to the fully empty restaurant read more

Place had been around since I can remember (been in the valley for 34 years) excellent pizza. It's thin crust, which I'm not crazy about, but it's delicious read more

I have had some bad pizza but this takes the cake...I mean pie. We ordered pepperoni, bacon and mushroom with extra sauce. They were extremely slim with the toppings and thank God because they had 5 long strips of RAW bacon. I would have hated to have had more of that and then I ordered extra sauce so they decided to just throw some extra sauce on top of the pizza. Wtf? Never coming back. read more
