I cant even comment how bad this food taste. They use gas grills not smokers so the smoke taste is awful. I will never eat here again.

I was in Waycross working for 5 days. We ate here every day except Sunday,they where closed I assume because it's the Sabbath. The entire staff was great. everyone was very helpful and pleasant. It kinda reminded me of a Chick-fil-A how good the staff was. The food was also a bargain compared to Savannah where I live. I wish they would open one here. When I'm in Waycross I would definitely eat here. read more

Came to the restaurant today and ordered the brisket sandwich. I love brisket and was excited to try it. I received the sandwich and was a bit taken aback by how shallow the brisket looked. I pulled off the bun and there were three short pieces of brisket. I was disappointed but still excited to try it. I took a bite and it was simply amazing! Tender. Juicy. Delicious!!! When a member of the wait staff came around I ask if the brisket sandwich was done by weight. She said no, they give 3 pieces and fold them over. I said oh, it's a little expensive for such a small portion. Not 4 minutes later a member of their management team came out with more brisket for my sandwich. I was shocked to say the least. I most certainly wasn't complaining about the sandwich, it's simply delicious. But he said it is done by weight and he hopes that the brisket makes up for my disappointment. I thanked him profusely. It was such a kind hearted gesture that he didn't have to do. I am a customer for life (well whenever I'm in Waycross)! Excellent BBQ, exceptional guest service. read more

Stopped bye for a late lunch today. Staff was very friendly. Food dosappointing.. Chicken was undercooked. Still bloody. Side items and sweet tea were good. Manager seemed not to understand at first. All 4 in our group were unanimous that this gets 4 stars. Service and ambiance were both delightful. We tried the fried smoked chicken, pulled pork sandwich and smoked chicken salad sandwich. Looks like a log cabin as you walk up, revealed to be vinyl siding. Counter looks like an Arby's or some other second tier fast food place. Asked for a recommendation and the counter guy pointed to the fried chicken strips special. Gulped and ordered a pork and ribs combo plate. Several sauces available, gave the Gold a shot...I'm pretty sure it was Cattlemen's Gold in a bottle with a Hog N Bones label None of these were hopeful signs. But then I tried the food..great giggly wiggly, this is some really good 'cue! The ribs had been pre-cut and had either been reheated or stored in a warmer for a while, but whatever they did to hold or reheat them, they did right. Texture and taste were both spot on, well worth the extra $$. The pork is as good as any I've had in GA and was insanely plentiful. I did find one objectionable piece of cartilage in there, but when you compared it to the 6-7oz of moist, lean mean, it was a completely forgiveable transgression. Their signature sauce was a perfect compliment to the pork, the sharpness of the vinegar and mustard cutting through the richness of the meat. Mac and cheese was way better than expected and the fried squash strips were very good, although I don't think they would travel very well. Very nice surprise, excellent BBQ. read more

The food was good southern BBQ. I had the ribs and chicken dinner. Chicken was nice and smoky and the ribs were done just right. Not too tender and not to tough. I wasn't too big on the HNB stew but it wasn't terrible. The other sides that I had were very good. Plus the waitress was cute so what's not to like?!? read more

Have eaten here for years and loved it. Customer service used to be second to none, not any more. Stopped in coming through town and bought 35.00 worth of food to go and asked for 4 extra little cups of bbq sauce. She started to ring them up. What? If I wanted anym6i had to pay for it. 6 little cups of bbq sauce for a full Boston butt? I could eat a sandwich inside and use a full bottle on each sandwich. I stopped in yesterday, 6/4/15, and had a large pork sandwich with a side of beans. Nice, clean dining room with lotsa locals bragging to each other about the food. I had the large combo with a pulled pork sandwich and it was all delicious. The service was also quiet good and the girl who served me my platter, checked back several times to see if I needed anything. Great concept for BBQ and fast service! read more

I used to work at ERC and Hog N Bones was next to our company. I truly thank them for being so close and convenient to our job. I was able to eat some good hot and fresh food. I would take my breaks around the time they had the happy hour going on. I would get the grilled chicken sandwich and a big cup of soda or sweet tea. I would add honey mustard on the sandwich and have a good ole convo with my coworkers. I love Hog N Bones food! read more

Stopped here on a drive to Jacksonville, FL. Our group selected several variations (sandwiches, baskets, etc.) on the pulled pork that H&B sells. The resulting meals were pretty nasty. The pork looked as though it had gone straight from a Sysco 5 gal bucket into a food processor and dosed with corn syrup/honey, apple vinegar and some onion/mustard powder. The mushy end product is then scooped out and dumped into the receiving meal with ice cream scoops. More than half our group couldn't hold down more than one bite of this sickly sweet mess. The accompanying sauces were even more disgusting. The meals are bad enough, but the Hog & Bones has even more to offer...non-working toilets, blaring poor quality "Christian pop music", and soda fountains that taste/smell of sulphur gas like the Disney ice & water. The piece de la resistance? Severe gastric distress and diarrhea for those of us who foolishly kept anything we ate at Hog & Bones down. They wonder why people die young in Georgia. If they eat at Hog & Bones, it's probably because they want to. read more

I went through the drive-thru at lunchtime. I opened my meal back at the office and was completely disappointed in the taste of the onion straws and the accompanying ranch dressing. The onion straws discharged some sort of fluid grease/water when bitten into. The ranch dressing was definitely watered down. The meal had no sauce included for the pulled pork, therefore, rendering it bland with a hint of something past its expiration date. The potato salad was the best part of the meal except I wanted a flavorful pulled pork and it wasn't so.The sweet tea was so-so but what do you expect when the cup is full of ice?
