I may or may not have finished mine. lol We booked through Resy--highly recommend. My husband had the chorizo burrito (good, but didn't love the fried chicken gravy), and I had the farmhouse skillet--tasty, but the chimichurri was a bit too limey for me. Shoutout to our waitress Emily--she was fantastic and made the experience even better. Definitely coming back!

Friendly and interactive. * Cocktails were good. I think I sampled everyone's, and most were really good. *Place had a cool vibe What could of been better: *This almost ruined the visit. Walk in and the hostess, young lady looked at us and mumbled. We explained how many people we had 5 with one more joining us. Just stared at us and looked confused. Said we could sit at the bar. The place was mostly empty. Asked again about seating and she seemed lost. A member of party asked if we could sit there, and pointed and the hostess states " I guess so" it was the weirdest interaction I have ever had with a hostess. She seemed lost. We were debating whether we should even stay. Overall we enjoyed the visit once we got past the door. Will give them another chance

I highly recommend their buffalo crab dip, a concoction that is a buffalo cheese dip served with fresh lump crab. You can really taste the crab in this dish. They don't skimp on it at all. The most clever thing that they did here, though, is to serve it with wonton chips. It's something that's truly unique, as most restaurants would serve a dish like this with regular chips. The wonton chips are a treat unto themselves, having great wonton flavor. However, when you combine it with the dip, it really takes it over the top. Highly recommend. For my entree, I had their Cajun Alfredo pasta. It is linguine served in a "Cajun-spiced Alfredo sauce". It is "served with tasso and smoked sausage", and you can choose to have it with either chicken or wild GA shrimp. In either case, once again, they do not skimp . You get a heaping portion of either chicken or shrimp, and the sauce is very tasty. It is just as described, an Alfredo sauce with a little Cajun flavor, though it is not spicy. It is served with no sides, but no sides are necessary as it is a hearty portion all by itself. Very delicious. The most impressive thing that I saw is that the owner is very hands-on. They have these new-fangled mobile electronic lamps, and the owner came by and noticed that ours wasn't quite working. He replaced it immediately himself. He was very friendly and chatted us up. He also went around and was serving and clearing tables himself. It seems that if you eat here, there's a strong possibility that you could end up meeting the owner! Meeting him was a very nice touch. The only thing that I had a hard time with here was choosing a dish because everything looked so good on the menu! Delicious food and great service. I strongly recommend this place!

The space looks great, and it was exciting to see them expanding into dinner service. I went in craving a good burger and ordered the Smashburger, upgrading to the truffle fries... and wow. Sooo good. The burger was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and everything you want from a smash-style burger. The truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade--crispy, indulgent, and hard to stop eating. Overall, a great first dinner experience post-renovation. We're excited to come back and try more of the dinner menu. Highly recommend checking it out!

Ornate, luxurious, top notch service, everything you'd expect from a Ritz property…read more Lobby bar - A beautiful living room for hanging out during the day. We arrived at the Ritz too late for dinner anywhere but the lobby bar. Enjoyed several sushi rolls with drinks, each one imaginative fresh and tasty. But some event had recently let out and the lobby bar got crowded and LOUD. I mean over 100db loud (measured). That's the equivalent of enjoying sushi while jackhammers are crushing concrete all around you. Whoa! Ocean front one bedroom suite - Plush, large, comfortable. Curtains blocked most light, but the bright morning sun still peeked in around the edges. Comfortable bed and plenty cold for good sleeping. Two huge TVs. While the only premium feed provided is Netflix, the cable box had been lowered behind the TV in the living room such that it was simple to plug in your own device. If this is by design, kudos to the Ritz. If this was accidental, we feel very fortunate. Awesome to have a second half bath, wish that was an option at more hotels. The main bath, very roomy, with a huge dressing area, was a little odd in that, while there was a door to the toilet, there was no door to the tub/shower. Not a big deal, as it was around a corner providing a little privacy, it's still a weak design decision. Huge balcony with ocean front views that go on forever. A few chairs and a table, but a bit under furnished. Still quite a treat for the view, breeze and privacy. Never even slightly tempted to leave the property during our stay. Over a 4 night stay, we visited nearly every bar and restaurant option, and never felt like we were having to "make do". Pool - the kiddie pool was closed for renovations, so children took over the main pool all day. If you're not a tolerant direct parent, you're not gonna get in that water, if you know what I mean. Overall the pool and chairs were pretty crowded, so almost worth the premium to have rented a cabana for 8-2 one day. Lots more room and comfort, both lounge chairs and couch seating, TV, snacks and drinks.

In our experience, hotels usually designate "dog friendly" rooms that are often in undesirable locations of the hotel. We did not feel that way here. There were dogs everywhere! Prob just as many dogs as kids!!! Check in was a bit rough...our room was not ready till about an hour after check in time. We were exhausted from a short night of sleep and delayed plane ride --just wanted to get to our room. We had to check on the status twice. Not what we expected!! The second person we talked to was very friendly and apologetic. They said they would comp us for the trouble by reducing the daily charge but I never saw this on my bill. This was disappointing. I was surprised they said they would do that so maybe they tried but weren't allowed. Who knows! The rooms were fine - nothing fancy and a bit outdated. Everything was very clean tho. And the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the nice coffee station and fire table on our patio. The restaurants they have are pretty good. We really enjoyed getting room service - much easier with our pup. We stopped by the gym to fill up our water bottles and they have a great water station and fruit bowls. All of the staff we interacted with were lovely and friendly. They were happy to give us tips about the area and recommendations too. The location is unbeatable- right on the beach. We enjoyed morning walks to see the sunrise. And it's close to Fernandina Beach which was such a charming area. We would def stay here again!!!!

There were some great options which made choosing difficult, but we tried the biscuits and gravy (go ahead - get 2 biscuits!) and the fried chicken and biscuit. Both were great! The sandwich wasn't huge so it was a perfect amount for breakfast. We sat inside - it's very cute - with a market and to go as well as the tables. Food comes up fast and is really reasonably priced! The chicken was perfectly fried - not greasy - and the hot honey was a nice touch (and thankfully, not too hot). Good bathrooms and lots of tasty looking items in the refrigerated cases (including various types of seafood to cook).

I decided on a grits bowl . I was shocked at ghe size of the bowl when it was delivered a short while later. Huge is an understatement. The grits were well done, the bacon plentiful and lots of cheese. I could only finish about half of it. Really nice dish I will get again. There's not a lot of tables, and it would be hard for a large group but even if you have to wait for a table, it is worth the wait! I will return!
