I met Sam the owner of HOCOA at a networking event several years ago, where he presented his company and how it works. So we just moved from the East Coast and purchased our home in Carlsbad. It's a little bit of a fixer and we needed some help. Our realtor gave us a 1 year membership to HOCOA. So we decided to call HOCOA and find the service professionals and contractors we needed to update our new home. We started with flooring, which HOCOA put us in touch with ProSource a wholesaler of flooring, cabinets, countertops and finish fixtures. Then HOCOA had 3 flooring contractors contact us and provided us with estimated for the install. Next we moved on to painting and some electrical work, the bathrooms needed a fresh coat of paint, and we wanted to change the light fixtures. Also, we added can lighting in the kitchen. I had a pipe burst in my home and water went everywhere. I was thinking to myself, wtf. This sucks. Now, what do I do? Well, I turned off the water, then I started calling plumbers, and no answer. Then I stumbled upon HOCOA, and I remember my Realtor told me about them. So I called and talked to a lady on the phone told her the situation. Within 30 min I had a plumber from HOCOA call me back, and was on their way. 30 minutes after that, I had a restoration company call me, to check in. The plumber said it looked bad, and that I should have the restoration company come out and take a look. All in all, the insurance company was able to cover my loss and each pro that was referred to me worked out. The people from HOCOA followed up with me too! We live in a condo conversion and a year ago we had a leak from out upstairs neighbors and HOA ripped out our vanity saying they will replace it when their intentions were not to do so. I really like these guys! I called them up for a hotwater heater replacement. They were able to get someone over the same day! I didn't have to pay an arm and leg for the new heater! These guys always to seem to get the job done! Needed an electrician and drain company and they were all over it! We had a nightmare with our electrical, with breakers tripping and lights flickering. I tried using this company and found out it was actually a network, they refer the work out to another contractor and charge them a fee for it. I was very disappointed on the quality of contractor he was using, the guy arrived at my house, looking like he just got out of prison, using foul language and the sort. completely unprofessional. The price was also quite a bit higher then other and I would assume that is because the contractors have to pay to be on their network. read more

I needed a plumber fast. We had a leak in our garage coming from the main line into our home. I am sure glad I signed up with HOCOA. They had a plumber come out first thing in the AM. I called the night before at 8:30pm and I talked with one of thier people who was able to have a plumber call me back.
