Fast, Friendly, Efficient and at a Reasonable Cost. I have been so happy with the service at SP&D that I refer them to others.

Coast To Coast Restoration - Remodel completed 2023

Coast To Coast Restoration

(250 reviews)

I originally planned to use a separate company for the insurance side and hire my own contractor,…read moresince restoration companies can be notorious for subpar work. After tons of research and 10 interviews, Coast to Coast was the obvious choice. Their in-house insurance specialist/project manager setup is a well-oiled machine. Casey blew me away with his experience and professionalism and handled insurance flawlessly. Bolo was an excellent PM, with quick communication throughout the project. I'm very particular about quality, and whenever I raised a concern, it was addressed quickly and properly. Minimal surprises, flexible throughout, and genuinely easy to work with. I'd absolutely use Coast to Coast again for their insurance expertise, reputation, and service.

I recently completed a major renovation of my kitchen, master bathroom, and powder room following a…read morewater damage claim, and I couldn't be happier that I chose Coast to Coast. I'm the type of person who is very specific about what I want and I did my homework. I got four different bids for this project, and C2C was the clear winner. Their quote was completely itemized--which I appreciated--and ended up being well under every other retail bid I received. Two people really made the difference: Mary and Bolo. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. The house looks amazing (see the photos of the Blue Thunder Quartzite and the Jade tile!). They were fair, they were fast, and most importantly, they were responsive. Highly recommend if you want high-end results without the "luxury markup" of other firms.

1M Restoration & Repair - warped laminate flooring becaue they did not protect the floor and brought water into the room

1M Restoration & Repair

My HOA called 1M out due to a plumbing leak in the ceiling of the condo beneath me. There was no…read morewater at all in my unit.they tore up a wall of bathroom tile, 1/3 of my floor, took my toilet out, and cut off my shower head. The HOA gave them permission to talk to me but they didn't give me their inspection report for weeks. They were very prompt in giving me an $11,000 repair bill, way before the inspection report. When I asked why they tore out my flooring, they said I had asbestos under my floor. I asked for a lab report to confirm this because my flooring was recently installed and that asbestos adhesive was banned in the 1990's. They ignored me and didn't provide proof. Their own inspection report also checked no under asbestos or mold. Then they told me my clay tile was buckling. I have luxury vinyl plank flooring, not clay tile. Then they told me remediation was done and they were going back to write a repair estimate. They then decided to remove all my flooring. Then they told the HOA that I demanded they take my flooring out. That is a complete lie. I have many emails asking them why they took out my flooring. I took them to small claims court and lost because the HOA approved everything. But the judge did say the demolition was excessive. He just couldn't judge in my favor because the HOA approved it. Their job is to remediate not diagnose the source of leak. In court they even said "we aren't plumbers." A licensed plumber diagnosed the leak under my bathtub. None of my flooring or walls showed any water damage at all. They necessarily demolished my bathroom and I had to pay $13,000 to repair it. Beware, don't let them do anything without a specific reason or your permission. Or you could end up replacing a bathroom that had no problems at all. Like I said even their inspection report said no mold or asbestos.but they tore up my bathroom anyway and came up with a number of inaccurate excuses as to why. Not only did they get paid by the HOA for unnecessary demolition, they were hoping to get paid to put my bathroom back in order. I paid someone else. Editing to add something regarding 1Ms response. I never received any report showing 99% meter readings from ceiling to floor! I guess 1M just lies. If there was 99.9% meter moisture readings that is severe and walls would have been falling down. There was no damage at all to studs or any of the walls. Imm attaching a photo after the leak was discovered. There is no severe damage! Just like when 1M lied to the HOA and said I asked to have the floors removed. I never wanted any demolition. No leak was found in my bathroom at all, it was under the tub. I attached 1Ms inspection report that clearly shows no mold, no asbestos no abatement. All these other reasons justifying it came weeks later in emails. Plus I was there in my bathroom there was no water at all in my bathroom. My plumber agreed! If there was 99% saturation in my bathroom, the leak magically repaired itself. Because the only repair required was a drain pipe under my tub that had no impact at all in my bathroom. Be careful with any company that does both demolition and repairs. They are highly incentivized to demolish unnecessarily to make more money on repairs.

Remember what good customer service felt like? Sit down, because I'm about to remind you…read more Between November and March I had three different remediation companies in my home. Two were forgettable. Express Dry was not. Let's start with the basics: they showed up 15 minutes EARLY. I didn't know that was still a thing. From the first call to the final walkthrough, communication was consistent and clear, no chasing anyone down, no vague timelines, no "someone will be there between 8am and never." Before anything else, their first responder, Christian, did a quick health survey -- asthma, allergies, immune compromised household members? They came prepared. That meant a lot to our family and honestly set the tone for everything that followed. The crew arrived that afternoon, introduced themselves, walked through their scope for the day, and then proceeded to professionally protect every floor, wall, and personal item in sight before getting to work. They worked in 100-degree heat, in a garage tent with industrial drying fans blasting, and stayed until 7pm on a Friday night. On a FRIDAY. These people have my respect forever. Each evening you get a full inventory and walkthrough of the day's work plus what's coming next. PMs arrived every afternoon to check progress. I'm convinced they swept up every last speck of dust before they left, the house was cleaner than before they arrived. Shout out to Christian, Omar, and the rest of the crew whose names I absolutely should have written down -- I'm sorry, you all deserved better from me. Meticulous. Professional. Health-conscious. Hard-working. And genuinely good humans. No affiliation. Nothing in it for me. Excellent companies and employees deserve to be recognized, especially in today's service landscape. If you're dealing with water damage, a flood, a slow leak, whatever it is call Express Dry. You'll be very happy you did. ---- 3/23/26 Update 1 - Johnny just left, he was checking on the project, friendly professional, and guess what he also showed up 15 minutes EARLY. I'm telling you you're not going to find a better company. ---- 3/25/26 Update 2 - Salvador just left, he was making sure we hit 15% dryness across the project before packing up the dryers and HEPA filters. He also arrived EARLY, excellent communication, called to make sure timing was okay. He was friendly, respectful and informative and asked if there were any questions and advised next steps. I opted to leave their tents up so the next reconstruction phase of the project didn't get dust everywhere. Would definitely recommend this team!

West Coast Restoration & Cleaning

West Coast Restoration & Cleaning

When we were told that we might have white mildew and/or black mold in our attic, we knew that some…read morerestoration companies will "find" mold or mildew even if it's not there. Our search for an honest company led us to West Coast, and we hoped the reviews were true. The good news is, West Coast is as honest as it gets. Askia came out and looked around the attic while I watched from the ladder. First, he showed me that the supposed mildew was some sort of harmless sandy clay-ish material. And the supposed black mold was just "lumber mold", an industry term for "stain fungi"--the common dark streaks in lumber that originate at the sawmill or in the forest, don't weaken the lumber, and are not indications of moisture. Who knew? Well, Askia knew. And he actually spent time convincing me that we didn't need their services. So do I recommend them to you? You betcha! An honest company is a joy to find.

When they were done, the owner reviewed the photos and made the staff come back and clean it one more time to remove the remaining black stains. I was satisfied with the remediation work and the additional follow through. The restoration portion of the work was led by another person and that scope of work and estimate wasn't as smooth. It was the same company but different people running the job like it was a separate company. I ended up hiring another contractor that I had worked with me before.

Jim Thurber was the Project Manager who walked me through the process of putting everything back together again. He actually worked with my Insurance Adjuster, and I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket, except for an unforeseen leak with wall damage after the initial estimate was done. He had his employees there around 8 am every day they were supposed to be there. Alex and Marcus (i am not sure of the names, but hopefully I got it right) did the drywall/patching of the mess of my kitchen. Then the cabinet team finished it off, painted everything exactly matching the original paint, and put all the appliances back where they belonged. The kitchen looked brand new, and everything was cleaned up afterwards. The timeline was as first estimated. If there were any issues, Jim took care of it! Jim communicated with me often, and he reassured me that everything will be done to my specifications, which they were. Great company! Wonderful project manager (Jim)! Fabulous employees!

Let me start this review by saying you really don't want to ever have to call these guys. That…read moresaid, accidents happen, like maybe you're fooling around near the side of your house and you gently tap the "inspector's test valve" for your sprinkler system. Suddenly all heck breaks loose and you've now got several walls full of water. After realizing exactly what I had done (the fire alarm helped me understand), I called around all the big name companies that do this sort of water damage repair. The quotes I got were ridiculously HIGH. I decided to go local and gave Moe and his team (read: family) a call. Not only could they fit me into their schedule quickly, but they are also a one stop shop, meaning, when they leave your house, it looks just like it did before you broke your sprinkler pipe. Most of those big name companies require you to get someone else to do the drywall/painting part. All the Mold Safe guys that worked on the job were not only related to each other, they were also great workers and great people. They kept everything clean and showed up when they said they would. They kept me in the loop as to what was being done and explained anything I asked questions about. They dried the walls, cut out and replaced the wet drywall and added the matching orange peel texture when they did the final painting. Color matched, perfect finish. And when Ted was finished fixing the hole in the stucco left by the sprinkler system guy (yeah, it has to be a certified professional who fixes anything to do with your sprinkler system, not just any plumber), he went around my house with the left over spackle and fixed several other stucco dings in my house. Above and beyond. Like I said at the beginning, you really don't want to ever have to call these guys, but if you do find yourself in this sort of a situation, don't risk the mold, just call Moe. There's a reason they have dozens and dozens of 5 star reviews here. Highly recommended.

COMPANY PAYS TO REMOVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS…read more Not recommended to military families. Poor experience. Company provided clear turnaround time then extended the project without notice. This was due to the company overbooking. When questioned, Moe pointed to a vague fine print in the agreement saying it could take up to 15 days. I mentioned not being able to accommodate an extension due to being pregnant and prepping for a deployment. Stated advance notice would've been appreciated. Moe did not handle things professionally, had a family member text me insults, then threatened to quit knowing it was breach of contract. Moe then said he only wanted to talk to the man of the house, who wasn't remotely involved in hiring or payment. Makes sense there were two other lawsuits with this company now. Rest of his team was great, polite, and hard working. Moe and his communication was the only issue. Edit: Happy to add receipts. Not one single disrespectful comment was made to anyone at your company. You flew off the rails. Forcing my husband to talk to you and then apologizing to him before insulting his status as a marine is wild work.
