This might be my 2nd or 3rd review of Drain Runner Plumbing. Not sure. I own a 60-year-old house, and such houses often need plumbing work. The first time I called Drain Runner it was because I had a drain problem, and they were magnificent. I learned then that they do other kinds of plumbing, too. Today I called them because I had 1 big problem (water pipe broken) and 2 small problems (loose faucet handles). The plumber that they sent was wonderful; he was capable, polite, communicative, and didn't mind my dog sniffing his shoes. And of course he fixed the problem As it turns out, he fixed the "big problem" in about 5 minutes but the "small problems" took a lot longer. Whatever. He got it done, wrote it up, and left with a smile. The price was pleasing. I will absolutely call them the next time I need a plumber. (Next year my house will be 61 years old). read more

Extremely Negligent and Unprofessional!!! After 6 exhausting months of repairs to our downstairs due to Drain Runner Plumbing, I finally have the bandwidth to share our experience. Drain Runner was subcontracted by our contractor, Brandon @ 3B Construction! The negligence from their plumber, Eric, caused devastating damage to our home. He failed to cap an exposed pipe when doing the proper plumbing work for our master remodel. This resulted in our entire downstairs flooding. To make matters worse, the plumbing he installed for our bathroom sinks was so poorly done, that it would never pass a standard home inspection. He basically used dishwashing cable to fasten bathroom sinks! We had to hire a new plumber to fix this immediately! When we reached out for repair help, Drain Runner denied the insurance claim for the damage they caused. They claimed no liability!!!! We had to file with our own homeowners insurance. Fortunately, our insurance company went right after them! Lori and Scott, who manage the company, were consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the process. How a company can choose to employ a plumber so unqualified is careless is beyond me. I would strongly urge anyone considering Drain Runner Plumbing to look elsewhere. Our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. read more

Don't be surprised if no one shows up for your scheduled appointment and you have to reach out to find out what's going on. This happened to me more than once. Eric is an excellent professional, but unfortunately he works for a company with disorganized scheduling and terrible customer service. The person handling appointments was sarcastic, rude, and completely disrespectful. It was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. read more

Great local company. Family business and community oriented. As a Realtor, I need to refer my clients to a trustworthy company.

Drain Runner Plumbing is hands down one of the most reliable plumbing companies I've worked with in North County. I use them across a wide range of projects--from smaller service calls to larger, more complex jobs--and they consistently get the job done right. They're responsive, show up when they say they will, communicate clearly, and don't cut corners. Their team is knowledgeable, professional, and efficient, which makes a huge difference when you're trying to keep projects moving on schedule. Any issues that come up are handled quickly and correctly, without drama. On top of that, their pricing is very fair for the quality of work they deliver. You get real value--honest estimates, no surprises, and solid workmanship that lasts. It's rare to find a company that balances quality, reliability, and cost this well. If you're looking for a dependable plumbing company in the Carlsbad area that you can trust long-term, Drain Runner Plumbing is it. I'll continue using them and highly recommend them. read more

My property management company used Drain Runner Plumbing for a project at my rental house and the work was done quickly, professionally and for a reasonable price. A couple months later my father had a plumbing issue at one of his rental houses where he was quoted about $15,000 to replace Plumbing under the slab. I reached out to Drain Runner Plumbing for a second opinion. They came out and were able to fix the entire plumbing issue for about $600. I will definitely use Drain Runner Plumbing in the future and recommend them to friends. read more

I absolutely can't say enough about how wonderful this company is. I have worked closely with Drain Runner for almost 3 years and had such great experiences. The pricing is always fair and Laurie, who runs the office explains everything about the jobs in detail. The plumbers who arrive on site are all kind and respectful. I have never worked along side another company as well as Drain Runner. I depend on them heavily to keep my 100 unit property running smoothly 24/7. I can always count on them!! read more

Quality work, great communication, very professional, good value for the price. I've had them out at least 5 times. They put in a tankless water heater and a pressure regulator for my property. Also out to evaluate a tank water heater and cap a line that was leaking. Rome and Lori answered all of my questions. Rome and Alex did a great job and they stand by their work. I'm very happy to have them as my plumbers. read more

Lori is amazing, honest, and the rock behind the company. Honest and amazing crew and company. I highly recommend Drain Runners Plumbing.

A broken under-counter shut off valve needed immediate attention and Eric arrived within one hour. He promptly fixed the issue but also explained the procedure along the way. It's so refreshing to have a tradesman who is polite and courteous (loved our big dog) but who also engages the client in the cause of the problem and the steps needed to rectify it. Super company! read more

I do Property Management and Real Estate Sales and have used Drain Runner maybe the last 20 years. Its not always a simple fix and most tenants or even homeowners-sellers & buyers dont understand the issues of timing and damage, and how pipes are, etc.. Drain Runner is always responsive. They've done everything from listen to why the low flow toilet now doesn't flush everything down like it used to now that the water pressure is at a normal pressure to fully rerouting foundation plumbing after those 1990 Polybutylene pipes start breaking apart after 25 to 30 years of use. They are fair and honest and I trust their judgement. Have they ever made a mistake in 20 years? sure, who hasn't, but they owned up to it and fixed the issue at their costs. One thing about plumbing, is that they cant see everything so just because one thing is fixed doesn't mean you won't have problems somewhere else linked to that first problem. They are also used to working with insurance companies and realize the the fine print now a days is getting longer and longer.. Check your fine print of what your insurance won't cover is super important upfront. Meanwhile, make sure your renters if you have some, have their own policy to cover you know... their stuff. I feel secure knowing they are the ones onsite to do the job correctly and the most efficient and cost effective way for my clients. read more

This plumbing company was contracted by the management company where I rent- I was told multiple times by the management company they would reach out to me when they were headed/at the property but that never happened. They reported to the management company that their plumber had made aware of "non-flushable" wipes being the issue for the back ups and in their reports blaming me for the issue (i proved they said flushable on the packaging). Not once did they come to ask to see the types of wipes and they never spoke to me or intended to speak to anyone at the property, they provided false information regarding communications to our management which led to disputes with them regarding the invoices. When I attempted to reach out to them the woman on the phone did not identify herself and as soon as I provided the address I was calling about she started berating me about the wipes usage and being nasty about what i do in my home and refused to tell the information I needed to prove to the management company their people never spoke to me. She shouted at me with her unsolicited opinions and went as far as reaching back out to the management company to complain that I was rude... they have been terrible to deal with and have created an unwarranted issue for me read more

I used Drain Runner to snake my main sewer line as well as hydro jet it (with a camera). The first time I called them it was after hours. I left a voicemail and to my surprise, I got a call back about 30min later (around 8pm) assuring me they'd have someone out first thing the next day. The gentleman they sent out was polite, professional, and had been working in the industry for a long time. When they came out later to hydrojet, that team of guys was extremely thorough. They checked every sewer clean out, and spent the time doing a very thorough job. They too were very professional and genuinely nice guys. Communication, results, nice people -- highly recommend. read more

Drain Runner Plumbing has my highest recommendation. Truly a team of dedicated professionals. Period. As if 2020 couldn't get any worse, a hot water pipe burst under the slab of my house. A friend recommended I call the already highly valued Drain Runner Plumbing. At 7pm on 28 Oct, Lori quickly dispatched Rome to help me locate and stop the leak. Having seen this process happen to other customers, Lori and Scott provided the shinning light I needed to guide me through damage recovery, insurance submission and options for plumbing recovery. They even helped identify and mitigate other potential plumbing issues with my property. Their process and reports were very concise for the insurance company which granted quick payment. We scheduled the install date and as of 12 Nov the hot water is back on. I decided to go with the complete repiping of the house and get away from any copper plumbing beneath the slab. Their team answered all my questions throughout the process. Their pricing was more than fair based on other plumbers estimates. I truly feel they are the BEST value and will not hesitate to call the Drain Runners Plumbing team or recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you for the work lady and gents! read more

Selling my home and needed to get a requested drain scope. Drain runner came out and scoped the drains for any roots or debris with their high tech camera. They showed me where they thought there might be issues and recommended a hydro blast and a clean out in the front of my house. They scheduled the work and gave me a detailed estimate. On the three visits (scope, hydro, clean out) their guys were on time, very polite, and left the place cleaner than when the came. I would recommend Drain Runner 10/10.
