So, on this dark, rainy and misty night we walked the one kilometre to Ray's. We found a lively room, with almost all tables full. The ceasar salad was excellent and the lamb and BBQ burger were both one of the better we've eaten. Other dishes around us look equally appetizing. We had a bottle of Cave Spring pinot noir which was very reasonably priced. We finished by sharing the Skor cheesecake. Sweet but unctuous. Service was good, but the two waitresses had a whole room to contend with so it was brief and efficient. All told, worth a visit if you're in the area and certainly better than the alternatives.

Perhaps a bit of a mistake as we did not enjoy our food much. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms with crab meat as my appetizer & the fish tacos. My husband had haddock & chips and my father in law had their shrimp linguini. The stuff mushrooms were huge & ok tasting but I was turned off by the brown water content that was seeping out onto my plate when cutting it in smaller pieces. My fish tacos was bland. The tortillas almost seemed stale & not soft. I'm surprised that there was no acidity in this dish with all the pico de gallo & looking at the corn, it was all shriveled up. My husband's haddock batter was as hard as a rock and my FIL's linguini was not al dente but was actually uncooked. The only good thing during our visit was our server. She was friendly & attentive so we had some good laughs. Sadly, we won't be coming here again which is too bad since we loved the feeling of the interior space and they have an awesome patio.

It's located in a historical home that's been extended with a beautiful outdoor patio. We didn't realize there was an inside dinning area since the patio was so packed we opted out to sit there. There was plenty of shade so we grabbed a table and sat down. Our server was so friendly and she explained some items weren't available on the menu since it was sold out. We ordered crab stuffed mushrooms, Thai chicken bites, Caesar and pork schnitzel. It was really good and I'm glad we decided to try something different today! We also got sangria and a beer which were also very good. Will definitely be back whenever we're in the area :)

She liked the omelette but the eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked poached eggs and everything tasted great. Unfortunately the service made us feel uncomfortable. The server, who was blonde with glasses (did not get her name) seemed not happy to be serving us. To be fair, it was incredibly busy and she was on her own. But she wasn't the nicest before it got busy either. It's too bad because the food really was top notch. I want to order the French onion soup next time. And all of the benedicts. Yes, all. I will line them up and just go at it.

I am driving through the country side and there it is also foggy. That's the perfect environment for long drive. Now I started to crave for soup or coffee. It was this beautiful looking Heatherlea Farm Shoppe. I checked their website and they also have a cafe inside. It was like God didn't wanted me to sad for long and presented this Farm Shoppe. I went in there with mask on. They have proper safety protocols in place. It's a wonderful farm shop that has amazing looking meats, vegetables, fruits, sauces and many more stuff. Very clean and well presented. On the left side they have a cafe and they serve coffee, tea, soup, sandwiches, baked goods and more. I wanted to have soup, but they were sold out. So I got myself a cup of coffee, oatmeal raisin cookie, chocolate chip cookie and brownie. Everything was delicious and perfect. I really loved the coffee and brownie. Brownie was so damn delicious and decadent. They have big parking outside overlooking beautiful lush fields. This place is a gem. Now I know where to stop when I am out for long drive, or I might even just take a drive to specially go here to enjoy everything they offer. I will definitely recommend this beautiful place!!

They were very good & a sizeable order as well. The main was the Enchiladas ($24.00 + $6.00) for the luke warm pulled pork. Our server "Moe" was so casual when she asked if I wanted pork or beef enchiladas but I should have looked for the extra pricing. Our server Moe was very funny & nice & she delivered solid service. It's a casual family style ambiance & the place was very busy but not packed. Not sure I'd go out of my way to dine here again. I give it a 4.0-Star.
