Not the best selection, but it is conveniently located inside Sobey's. At least you can always find a good wine for dinner.

My friend decided to have their birthday here. After looking at reviews, I didn't really have much…read moreexpectations. However, while it wasn't great, it's not that bad either. We had a big group of around 15 people and despite my friend emailing them in advance, they did not have her reservation noted. It was a good thing we came early, about 8pm, so there was still a few empty tables. They told us it's free cover and free coat check before 8:30pm but on flyers it says before 9:30. So it's best to double check before you decide to go. Coat check is $3 usually. Idk about cover. Also, since she booked a birthday reservation, apparently we were suppose to get cowboy hats or at least the birthday girl was? No one gave that to us, I had to go to coat check to ask for my friend. Our server was nice, she came out with a better cowgirl hat later on that night. However, she initially forgot to take orders for myself and another friend in the party. Kinda surprising how she could miss us, since we were sitting right next to the bday girl. It wasn't even that busy then. Warning: The menu on the website and what we saw once there was vastly different! The menu they have there is extremely limited compared to what's online. For food, I ordered the BBQ chicken wings 1 pound for $11. It was okay but I can get better at St.Louis with a beer! Don't even have honey garlic flavour! Only BBQ and Frank's. For drinks, we had 2 pitchers w/ the most popular drink being the Bulldog ($15). It was pretty good, you get your drink in a bucket! Main attraction for us was the mechanical bull. I tried that thing twice and walked away with a bruise on my leg. Lol. Still, it's quite fun. They require you to show ID to ride this, and sign a consent form. They might also take a quick surprise picture of you as you finish the process. No idea what happened to the photo they took of me. Lol. After you finish form process, you also get a wristlet with "I braved the bull" on it. This is so you don't have to show your ID again on any future attempts. Saves time. Also, by the bar..some of the stools had saddles on them, which was kinda cool. Overall, good if you want to go for the theme/novelty of it and grab a drink in a bucket. But for food and customer service, they need to step it up.

Ordered the Anna Rosaria for $13 roughly and it was a tad underwhelming in flavour however the sourdough bread and ingredients were fresh. I ended up buying the Giovanna for the road since I live quite far away and I wouldn't make this drive very often. That one was way better with the spicier sauce and hot supressata. The flavour was explosive and compared to Anna rosaria had a kick. Overall I'd give it 8/10 stars just for the quality of food.

The chiller inside near the counter also has a lot of unique beers and ciders you wouldn't typically find available elsewhere. I got a red sour beer, which was surprisingly expensive. It set me back $11.99. The ciders my companions got were more affordable at around the $4 or $5 range. Paying for it, however, took too long. The machine taking payments seemed to be acting up, and waiting took an unacceptable amount of time. There are not a lot of different food options available. One should come to expect that as the place looks like it was intended to be a sandwich shop. I do wish that they at least have more sides available. The Ribeye Steak deluxe sandwich $18.99 I got was good. The bread was a little too crunchy and burnt than what I was used to, but I would just like to think that it is how an authentic Italian sandwich should be prepared.

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) is a government controlled quasi monopoly for liquor…read moresales in the Ontario province of Canada. I say quasi monopoly since beer and wine are sold at "The Beer Store" and a few exceptions to distilleries, breweries and wineries. At the LCBO you can find your typical hard liquors from all over the world and premixed alcoholic beverages that I don't even see at specialty alcohol stores back in the states. I was so intrigued by the wide selection at the LCBO. I was definitely not trying to dehydrate myself on my trip, but I was just curious by the variety of flavors available. I decided to get: - Snapple Spiked Peach Tea Vodka ($2.80 CAD) - Rockstar Watermelon Freeze ($3.40 CAD) - Crazy Uncle Hard Root Beer for Grown Ups ($2.85 CAD) - Crazy Uncle Hard Cream Soda for Grown Ups ($2.85 CAD) - Black Fly Sour Raspberry ($2.85 CAD) These cans have a 10cents recycling fee per can and a 13% already included tax. I like that the tax is already included in the prices so there are no surprises at check out. I can definitely see how a 13% tax affects more pricey liquors. No wonder why I was asked if I brought over any alcohol when I was checking in through customs. Nevertheless I respect it. Canada has REAL healthcare for everyone so at least the tax is going to the right places. I really enjoyed my pre spiked cans of alcohol. I especially liked the Snapple Spiked Tea Vodka and it is definitely something I would drink all of the time if they had it in the states. The sodas were a bit too sweet for me since I do not usually drink soda. I will keep that in mind the next time I find myself at an LCBO. I was especially pleased at check out when the sweet young man behind the counter asked to see my ID. The legal age to drink in Canada is 19!! I feel extra extra flattered that he asked me for my ID and I slightly giggled as I reached for my passport. I was complimented on how young I looked. Canadians are the sweetest!! ~ And I believe this to be universal... If you drink, don't drive - Si vous buvez, ne prenez pas le volant ;)
