**NEVER COMING BACK! Ruined my bridesmaid dress! Nasty yellow stains and made small holes on the dress!! ** Brought in a blue bridesmaid dress to get dry cleaned. The top layer is chiffon, so I made sure to point out two small oil stains so they can treat it carefully. Came back two days later and stains were still there. Owner said she'll do it again for free. Came back three days later. Oil stains are gone but now I have these nasty yellow rings around where the oil stain used to be on both sides of the dress. Owner was completely embarrassed and told me she'll do it again for free. Came back a week later, owner told me she won't do anymore free redo cleans. Stains are worst and now there are three holes on the front of my dress. Owner said it's not her fault, it's the dry cleaning company she works with who messed up. She wouldn't give me any info about this company so that I could complain. She still charged me for the service. Worst customer service, didn't take responsibility for her mistake. Never coming back! The owner is a hard-working woman. It seems as though she does everything by herself. She is always happy, greets you with a big smile and offers suggestions on how to take care of your apparels. I have many dresses with beads that can't be dry-cleaned, she will advise me to hand wash them. I take my suits here, knowing she does a spectacular job. I am pleased with her alterations i.e., hemming my pants, fixing buttons, and sewing my shirts. I try to drop by on a weekly basis, although she's not open on Wednesdays FYI. read more

The owner is a hard working chinese woman, who's always really busy. She can do a lot of repair work. She's put in elbow pads on suit jackets and even a sweater for me ($10), and will do sewing and stitching. She only charges 50 cents to sew a button (if you have the button). Dry cleaning is pretty standard. Only downside is that it's cash only. Bring cash money. read more

I recently moved back to SF and my apartment building only has one set of washer and dryer. I went around the neighborhood to check out the prices and this place is the cheapest - 90 cents/lb. There were times that my laundry was less than 10 lbs, but she charges me the same .9/lb. She knows I'm already a regular and I recommend this place to anyone. There was one mishap of clothes smelling like a wet dog because it was not dried properly. Annie took them back and washed/folded it again for FREE. Now, that is customer service. I love my freshly washed and neatly folded laundry ... only if she can put them away to my drawers too -lol My friend who lives in Vacaville also drops off his laundry Saturday morning and pick-up Sunday afternoon, when he visits SF. read more

I love this woman. She's super nice, conscientious, flexible and her prices are lower than any other in the area (i've checked most of them). I take my dry cleaning and alterations to her and she does a great job with both. She can put the original hem back on to your jeans if you'd like and she won't charge you $20 like most places nowadays. She even offered to fix a tear in one of my tops for free. Annie is spectacular! She never loses a single article of clothing. My clothes always come back well taken care of, clean, and she is sensitive to my clothes needs. She is always so warm and welcoming! I know personally I must be her worst client because I have such a demanding job and sometimes can't make it to when she is open for a bit. So a week and a half will go by and I will walk in panicked that I've taken up space in her already jam-packed facility. Annie is wonderful. I've been bringing my wash and fold to her for years and she's always treated my clothes well. On occasions when I've brought her 30+ pounds of laundry, sheepishly asking if she might be able to launder them by the next day? She's always accommodated me, even staying open later than her business hours so that I could pick up my things after work. Wash and folds in the inner Richmond are as common as Dim Sum and Sushi restaurants but Annie sets herself above the others by delivering exceptional customer service on top of doing a great job with the washing. One man army, Annie is as good as it gets. I used to go to that location for years when it was still called "Ming Quan", ran by this ADORABLE older Vietnamese couple. Then the next thing you know the sign has changed to Hobson's. I must admit...I'm so glad Annie moved in. Her work is significantly better than the previous owner (that lady is so cute I feel guilty for saying this!). Her prices are beyond reasonable. She even gave me 20% discount one time for bringing in a crapload of clothes that needed alterations. From what I can remember the pricing goes: denim with original hem $10 w/o original hem $8 slacks (think BR/J.CREW) $14 w/cuffs shortening sleeve on JCREW peacoat $26 (EXCELLENT JOB) reinforcing the buttons on my jacket/coats $2 Alterations done but can't remember the price: shortening a maxi dress turning bootcut jeans into skinny jeans - scored a pair of R&R for a good price, but after wearing it for a while I wanted to turn it into skinnies. Annie did such a great job in this, could not even tell it used to be boot cut, and it fit me perfectly. Not only is she great at alterations, but she is a very nice person too. I know my name isn't the easiest to spell or pronounce, but she always remembers the first 2 letters of my name when she fills out the form. I was kinda excited to find this shop on Yelp because there are many good reviews about the alterations and it's really close to where I work. I need to get some pants altered so I decided to give her a call just to confirm if she was there today so I could drop off my stuff. Well I'm glad I called, because she told me I CAN'T come today to drop off my clothes because she is "too busy"........ok.........and it doesn't seem like she speaks or understands English well at all. I'm still not sure if she understood my question after several minutes of the conversation going in circles, and I don't quite understand why she refused to take my pants even though I reassured her many times I don't need them to be ready today. I've just discovered the joys of NOT wasting 3 hours of the weekend waiting for stupid laundromat machines to open up. I am a huge fan of this lovely lady Annie. My clothes come back smelling like petals and sunshine, and folded into a neat, square, wrapped little pack. One minor complaint is that she can get busy and won't be able to do same day service occasionally. On the flip side, she does not flip out if you don't pick your clothes up in a timely manner. I once left a gown there for a month. She also only accepts cash and speaks very very little English, but is a total sweetheart and will manage to take most of your instructions. read more

With Annie's service, I will never procrastinate and let my laundry build up ever again. She is super friendly, and does a GREAT job! My clothes came back folded, ironed, and smelling wonderful. There were a couple items that I was going to give to Goodwill after they came back, and she made them look so nice that I'm going to keep them a while longer! On top of that, she organized them by t-shirt, blouse, sweater, tank top, undergarments, pants, shorts, etc. It was a breeze to put it all away because I wasn't shuffling everything in my closet back and forth or running between my closet and my dresser. She even apologized several times for not being able to provide me overnight service (which I wasn't even expecting). I arrived to pick up my clothes a little bit early and they were already done! This place has such great reviews (why I tried it) so mine is probably going to look out of place. Everything started out fine, Annie was super friendly when I dropped off my coat and pants. However, when I went to pick them up my coat was missing the belt that had been on it. When I asked about it, Annie, who had been speaking perfect english a moment before, pretended not to understand me and would only suggest that I go home and look for it. I understand that mistakes happen and it wouldn't have been a huge deal if she had apologized and maybe gave me a discount but instead I was left feeling furious and insulted. Truly a negative experience. The owner does not speak English and never answers the phone. Promised me clothes would be ready Monday. I get there Monday evening - the owner had left a half hour earlier then her posted hours. I come back Tuesday morning - the clothes are not ready yet so I have to come back two days later since she's closed on Wednesday. And guess what -she's unwilling to provide a discount even after failing to deliver on time. I finally pick up my clothes and two shirts have stains I have never seen before. Went here for about 9 months. Nice lady that runs the place. Does not speak very good English, though, so communication was always a challenge. Then I got several laundered shirts back on multiple occasions and they had cleaning material caked on them. I alerted the owner to the problem every time, but it kept happening. Then she ruined a shirt by getting a black stain on the shoulder. She tried to clean it a second time for no charge, but it did not come out. Also, did not do a very good job of pressing the shirts and they always had creases and she could never get it right. The charge for their services is cheap compared to the more upscale dry cleaners in the neighborhood, but you get what you pay for. I stopped going here and found a new spot. read more

Update - I have been using this establishment now regularly. She has laundered shirts, which are pressed and with the heavy starch I like, done buttons and repairs and hems for me. I recently moved to the area and was so excited to see that there was a wash and fold that was not only so close (literally around the corner), very affordable, and had such great reviews. Needless to say, expectations were high. I've been there three times. The first time was great, a little slow (it took about 5 days to get my laundry back) but I wasn't really in a rush so it didn't matter. The second time my laundry came back with what looks like pink highlighter spotted all over, ok I'll let this slide. But I will NEVER BE RETURNING after this third time. I went to pick up my laundry today only to find out that she is CLOSED UNTIL NOVEMBER 1ST. My laundry has been there for over a week (a combination of her being busy and my schedule forcing me out the door before she opens and not getting home until after 11) but she never called or gave me any warning about her closing. So I will be without a bulk of my clothes for another two weeks until she opens. I'm not sure why she collects her customer's phone numbers if she isn't going to use them for something as important as CLOSING THE STORE FOR TWO WEEKS. Needless to say I will be picking up my laundry on November 1st, after not having it for three week and will NEVER BE BACK. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for an new dry cleaning place. I took in three pieces and when I reviewed them at home they all were flawed service-wise. One item had a new stain although the old stain was removed (what the?). One of my favorite pants was ironed and now has a weird crease down the side of the leg. My easiest piece to clean still had a good portion of the original stain on it. Two of the three pieces had cat/dog fur on them and I am not a pet owner (another ?). No comment was made that not all the stains were removed at pickup time. Happy I did not take in pricier pieces.
