I know the location is permanently closed but I wanted to share my experience anyway. I dropped off jeans to have a hole patched shortly before they closed for good. It took about a month to get them back. The hole was patched but they had also taken off about two inches from the bottom of my jeans. I left a voice mail, a couple of texts, and even talked to Golf in person. She said she would follow up and never did. It was such a terrible experience. My favorite jeans are ruined. read more

Alteration of tops and bottoms was very professional and friendly. Communication was also very good. Good value!

Golf is the best - great service all around and my items always come back prompt and clean!!

I live a block away from here and I always get all my cleaning & alterations done in a timely, professional, and happy experience! They are top notch. I can't wait to walk over there and pick them up! Pictures coming soon.. read more

Remember that Seinfeld episode where George got his girlfriend a cashmere sweater, and it turned out he got a huge discount because it had a stain (I think it was a red dot). Well, I got THE tiniest red stain on my new white shirt after (not) carefully slicing tomatoes at work. My OCD tendencies came out. It was still a perfectly good shirt but I started to obsess about the dot. So I soaked the shirt overnight with laundry detergent. The stain was gone, but the black hems bled into the white part leaving gray splotches everywhere! I went to Pacific View Cleaners the next day. The woman who assisted me warned me that they might not be able to take the stains out. And she kept asking if I was sure I wanted to spend money on it. I had faith in them, and the estimate was $4.50, so why not, right? I picked up my shirt today and they fixed it! Another woman helped me and explained the higher cost. The bill was $8.00. I told her I understood and that I knew they could fix it. And when I left, I noticed the receipt had a handwritten note about why I was charged a higher cost. I'm so appreciative of the honesty I've experienced. They definitely have my trust when it comes to my beautiful, precious clothes. read more

I feel so lucky to have run into this dry cleaning service 7 years ago - and ever since then, I have problem switching to any other dry cleaners - because the owner, Golf, is such a sweetheart. Every time I visited her shop, she would always put on a big smile. Most importantly, she would always go that extra mile - I mean, some of my sweaters/jumpers are kind of old and might already have some lint, Golf/her workers would help me trim those away, which then made my sweaters look brand new - and they did it without me even asking! Needless to say, this is at no cost to me. This is the best dry cleaner I have ever come across and I am so glad they survived the pandemic. read more

I needed to hem my pants ASAP and went/called several places. Most of them were closing (6pm) but luckily I found this place. Came in on a Tuesday around 6 pm. The lady that helped me, Tanya, said that it won't be ready till next week. GASP. What?! But I need it by this Friday *sad face, pouty lips* Ok, come back this Friday. I called in on Thursday to check on the status of my pants and it's ready!! Talk about quick service. Tanya was very helpful and they did an excellent job on my pants! read more

This new drycleaner just opened in my neighborhood. The folkes there are very friendly. The list prices are best in my area. I have been there several times already and will continue to go back. I particularly enjoy their wash & fold service. Money well spent for time saved... read more

Fantastic! Highly recommend! Good price, great service, got my clothes back on time and fantasy location! Keep it up!

This place is SPANKING awesome!! Not only are they affordable, friendly, fast, and efficient....well....what else would you need in your dry cleaners? Every couple of weeks (yeah, yeah I know) I drag these two boxes of button downs over there, and PRESTO, a couple of days later, I have clean laundry (for a minor cost). I mean, seriously, if this were any easier, I'd tell mom I don't need to bring my dirty laundry over anymore. (JUST KIDDING, MOM. I'll still visit and bring home my dirty laundry. Just not my button-downs and slacks!) read more

The staff especially Tai and Golf are all the sweetest and most helpful people. Just walking in there lifts my mood, they are always in good spirits and happy to help. The prices for wash and fold and dry cleaning are affordable and their work is great and with fast turnaround. The clothing boutique is awesome too, like nothing else in the city. If you can't find that special something on Union St. I suggest checking them out, their imports are rare and I've found more than a few gems for both men and women. Forget the pain and hassle of doing your own laundry and bring them your business, you will love it. Thank you!!! read more

I was stumped...I had to figure out how to get my huge dress re-tailored again, and I didn't want to drive downtown. Thankfully, I found Pacific View nearby and at first it looked kinda dark from the outside. But inside, it was like a little haven for boutique shoppers. From the start, they were honest about their prices and they were reasonable. And after seeing my dress fitted on me, they went to work hemming away. It was only 10 minutes at the most...that was fast! Since this was a semi-rush job, they gave me 3 days for the hem and patch-up...and they pressed my clothes too ^_^...for free...I like free.... The stitches were good and it was straight, the dress was perfect and the service was fast and efficient. Smiley faces everywhere that day... read more

Getting your clothes dry cleaned is like getting your hair done for the first time by someone new: SCARY. Fortunately I found Pacific View Cleaners (thanks to you yelpers!) they did such a FANTASTIC job cleaning my dresses! Come to find out they also clean leather, which is great because I have a dress with leather on it and have had such a difficult time trying to find someone to clean it and clean it well. My clothes were clean in 4 days and you have a choice of paying when you drop off your clothes or when you come back to pick them up. faaaaabulouuuss! Also their prices are so reasonable! Three dresses only cost me $24. I would consider dry cleaning all my clothes!! read more

Judging by the decor, the music, even the smell of the place, you'd think you arrived at a spa for your lunchtime deep-tissue massage. But you'd be mistaken. You're here to pick up your hemmed jeans. And what fine jeans they are! I've been here a time or two to drop off dry cleaning and to get a few pairs of jeans altered. Pacific View Cleaners offers a quick turn around and super-friendly service. Plus it's in my hood, which is essential. And the spa-inspired interior? Sure, why not. read more

I've dropped off my suits, shirts, and coats here ever since I moved to San Francisco. Every time I get them back, they're sparkling clean, smell nice, and I know the people here worked to make sure everything was nicely pressed and unwrinkled for me. Nothing but good things to say about this place. As long as I live around this area, my dry cleaning will be done here. Prices are extremely reasonable, the turnaround is fast as can be, and the quality is outstanding. read more

Um, I have been used to my little dry cleaner in the Sunset who hand wrote everything on a paper and if I forgot my tag when I picked up the dry cleaning, she would have to search by hand for my clothes. Wow, welcome to the modern age. Upon moving here to the Richmond, I thought I would give this place a shot based on the reviews. SCORE! Computerized receipts. I know for some it may be something they are used to but for me, it's new and I love it. It itemizes for me how many items I brought in and tells me all that I need to know about my drop off. Nice. Wash and fold services- I personally love doing laundry because I feel like I get a whole new wardrobe when it's all done and put away. That said, I hate doing linens and sheets. And soley for the reason because I never fold them right and they always come out wrinkled and eh. Hear they do it all and for super cheap. There is a 10lb requirement so when I throw my sheets in sometimes I throw in other stuff too. Services itself- awesome! Fresh and clean, and they are pretty honest about what they can and can't do. And the staff is always super helpful and nice, whether it's the owner or the lady that works there. BONUS- there is a clothing boutique within the dry cleaner of one of a kind imports from Asia. (ie. they only have 1-3 of each item and in select sizes but still.....) so if you are lucky maybe you'll find this weekends going out shirt while you pick up your dry cleaning! read more

After staining to my down comforter and sofa cushion covers from my pets, I was looking for a place to get both cleaned professionally. I was especially concerned over the sofa cushion covers, as any shrinkage would make it impossible to reuse (and couches are expensive!). I read such wonderful things on here about Pacific View Cleaners, so I called them for a quote. In comparison to other cleaners I reached out to, the prices were quite reasonable. The owner is very nice and she kindly texts/calls her clients with updates about her store and their items (holiday closures, when an item will be ready, etc.). Cleaning both of these items, particularly the sofa cushion covers, requires more work and time than clothing pieces. Updates were communicated to us, which was above and beyond what I expected. For myself, the owner's personal concern to make sure these items were properly cleaned, dried, and aired out to prevent my taking home an item with any chemical smell, was very appreciated. I've been using this business for many months now for dry cleaning and have been very pleased with my experience. They also offer alternations services. read more

Loved everything about our wash and fold experience!!! The owner, Golf, was so friendly and thorough, will definitely be going back and recommend to others as well :-) read more

Since my first visit here, they have gone out of their way to make my trip easy. I tried going in one day a little too early and they were closed. The same lady owns the cafe across the street and she saw that I had to turn back. She came running across the street to open up the shop early just to help me! Every time I see her she remembers exactly who I am and knows exactly what I will order at their cafe! Amazing service read more

One of the best cleaners in the Richmond district. I always trust them with my beloved belongings. They usually take a week or less to clean your clothes, and if any alterations are needed they will provide them for you. Also the spot clean, if you have any stains. read more

I'm sure this place is great...when they don't damage your clothing. They told me they'd clean my coat within one week. When I called after a week they did not apologize for it not being ready, but just said they'd send a text. Another week later I got the text. I go to pick up my coat and in less than a minute I realize that there's a frickin hole in it. Right at the front of the coat....The worker simply shook her head and said we didn't do that. It's a relatively new coat and considering it took me a few seconds to realize this big hole right at the front, I think I would've noticed if that was the case before I brought it in. Please take pictures of your clothing before you bring it in because if there happens to be any damage they will take ZERO responsibility, even though they're supposed to do so according to the law. Absolutely ridiculous read more

I dropped off a white dress shirt with typical cleaning needed around the collar, and it is going to cost $6.95 - by far the most I've spent for a dress shirt to be cleaned. And there's no option of getting anything back sooner than 1 week given the ship the clothing out to be cleaned. Assuming I get this shirt back 100% clean - which it should be - I won't be coming back. read more

This place is the best!! 5 Stars!! Andy is so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for dry cleaning and wash and fold service. I will never go any where else again. Seriously. His prices are extremely reasonable and I couldn't ask for better services. The shop is clean and well maintained. The clothes that he sells are adorable and I hope to go back soon to do some shopping. I can't believe I haven't gone to Andy before now. He really is wonderful. This shop is very professional. My cloth come back is nice and clean. And the owner is very friendly.

Having gone to numerous dry cleaners during the time I have lived in San Francisco Pacific View far exceeds any others I'veever gone to. Not only the friendly and personal staff, but there overall attention to detail. Having brought alterations, and soiled clothes they always are perfectly cleaned, pressed and altered; best yet, there prices are very competitive. I would highly recommend Pacific View for all your cleaning needs. read more

I've been using this place for about a year and always found them to be friendly and provide good quality dry cleaning and shirt laundering/pressing, at a fair price. Today they really won my heart after restoring my husband's favorite coat to like new status. I had taken the trench coat, purchased in Italy (so basically irreplaceable), to two different cleaners after some pretty tough stains showed up. Neither of the previous places made a dent, so it languished in the back of the closet. I finally brought it to Pacific View in one last ditch effort... and it came back pristine! I was shocked and thrilled and the owner was beaming at my response. I can now say I won't take my cleaning to any other establishment. They have won my business for life! read more

The two guys who own the place are super nice, very personable. Good prices and excellent service. The last honest cleaners. read more

Wonderful staff, spotless and beautifully decorated shop, great prices, warm and friendly service, very organized, with clothes perfectly tailored as promised AND on time...or even early! Which is a heck of a lot more than I can say for that other cleaner (which shall remain nameless) that I used to go to a few blocks away near CVS. I absolutely love Pacific View Cleaners and wholeheartedly recommend them! It's refreshing to see a local business that takes such pride in its product, pays attention to every detail, takes nothing for granted, and is so kind to its customers. read more

My fiancé and I have been coming here for a while and have always been pleased with the service and results. However, that has definitely changed. I recently dropped off several items, including a sweater that I had only worn once. Two of the items required spot treatment and I pointed that out. One of the times needed to be mended and I pointed that out too (I also got a quote for it -- $8). When we picked them up, we were instantly told that the new sweater was "damaged". Further, she said that we turned it in damaged. If it was turned in damaged, why point out that it was damaged? It's surprising that she didn't catch that the day I turned it in after inspecting every single item in front of me. Again, I only wore the sweater once and it was in perfect condition. After calling her out on that., she retreated her comment and said that it was "really dirty" and it couldn't be new. It's a cream sweater and had no stains. Further, had it been "really dirty" I would have asked her to spot treat it like I did to my finances white button down shirts. Oh by the way, the small tear on the pants (it's right on the front pocket) also had a price change from $8 to TBD and yeah, they're not ready yet. Definitely contacting better business bureau; they owe me a sweater. read more

I go to Pacific View for any clothes related needs and am never disappointed. Great prices, friendly staff, top-notch service. Edit: I came back a couple years after originally making my review and the place has completely lost their appeal to me. The wash-and-fold service that I used to love is now a complete dud. Ah well. Was nice while it lasted :D read more

These guys are so nice and are so reasonable to deal with. I just moved to LA and paid $25 to get a sweater with a dime sized hole along the arm pit seam sewed up. While digging in my wallet for the cash to pay these guys (Bob Saget from Full House was next to me picking up about 400 button down shirts which made the pang of over paying a hair less painful), I thought longingly of Pacific View Cleaners. It's always ironic when dry cleaning establishments look kinda, well, dirty. Pacific always has the cleanliness of an empty hospital room plus they don't rip you off just because you have high profile celebs like Danny Tanner popping in for shirt starching. Shesh! Try them! read more

I LOVE Andy! I am going to keep this review simple. So here are 5 reasons why you should go here 1) Andy, the owner, is one of the nicest, honest, and dynamic person you will ever meet. He truly cares about his customers. Always has a smile on his face. This place opened up only 4 months ago...now look at how far it has come! 2) PRICE - the place looks like an expensive upscale dry cleaner, but it's best place in the city for a great price! Very inexpensive for the quality 3) QUALITY - the clothes come out fresh and he truly takes great care of them. He goes out of his way to make sure any stain, wrinkle or anything is taken care of. 4) SPEED - he will have them ready by the next day 5) STORE - How many places out there have a clothing shop? he sells imported clothes from Thailand/HK. I love this place. I will never go to any other dry cleaners again in my life! read more

the best cleaners and the MOST stylish cleaner EVERY! excellent dry cleaning + chic clothing boutique where else can you drop off your clothes for dry cleaning AND shop for a cute hand-made shirt from thailand - ONLY Pacific View Cleaners! I met the new owner, Andy, and he is SOOOO SWEET! OMG! He hand-painted the bamboo and florals on the wall. I love Andy's business model of mixing two traditionally separate service areas into one! What a genius. I dropped my clothing and walked out with a new hand-made silk screened shirt from Thailand. I love his clothing shop! Andy bring more hand-made clothes from Thailand! Andy you're amazing - and to quote you "For me, meeting good people like you guys is the real profit of my investment in this store." yes I agree Andy and as a customer, to meet amazing and passionate owners like you makes it worth it to come back again and again. Andy is so sweet! He's super friendly and remembers me when I stop. I'm not sure how much dry cleaning normally costs, but I had 4 jackets, a coat and a repair and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg as I was expecting so that's good! Also, the decor is SO beautiful. Not a typical dry cleaner. read more

Very nice staff! I've been here a few times, both before and after the recent change in ownership. The new owner bought the business from the previous owner and has worked here for a number of years. So, if you used to come here, you WILL see a familiar face. They are Thai and can be a little soft spoken, but I can tell are genuine about doing their best to make sure a customer's needs are fully met and exceeded. With that said, if you're doing something more complicated like tailoring/alterations, be patient and spend the time to explain what you need done. It's honestly not their fault if you don't fully describe what the expectation is. People don't read minds!!! So, given that English isn't their native language, just be aware. I most recently got a maxi dress altered here for my engagement photoshoot. I dropped it off on a Thursday and was told it would take one week - pretty standard. They took my cell phone number and was told they'd call when it's ready for pick up. Mid-day Monday, I received a text message saying my dress is done and ready for pick up. How awesome!! It was done within 4 days! And they did a great job. I had the dress taken in and hemmed. Now I'm super excited to rock it during my photoshoot. read more

They are THE BEST! The girl that works there is super friendly and helpful. Totally respects your wishes, and communicates CLEARLY to make sure she does the exact alterations you asked for. I had her adjust the hem on one of my dresses and take in a leather blazer; both were BEAUTIFULLY done. She even gave me her professional opinion as I was trying them on, since I was unsure how to go about correcting them. This place tends to be a bit on the pricey side, but I would say it's well worth it. They definitely don't try to rip you off; if you ask for an opinion on something, they'll give you an honest answer on whether or not it's worth getting altered. read more
