    Spiked Milkshake
    Gary E.

I visited Hobo's late on a Tuesday afternoon. I was expecting it to be fairly empty as it was around 3 so between the lunch and dinner crowds. But it seems we had three large families walked in shortly before us. So the wait staff was stretched thin but the manager and our waitress both apologized for any delay. Once we got seated and our drink orders taken things moved more swiftly. The restaurant itself was nice. Lots of tables and booths also a big bar you can sit at including a large outdoor area. To start we got a sweet tea and I tried one of their spiked milkshakes! The sweet tea was just right and the milkshake was very good. A nice hit of alcohol in it with real chucks of ice cream! As usual for me, I had to try the Chicken and waffle sandwich! There were pieces of bacon in the batter that made the waffle and a large piece of deep fried chicken. The sandwich ate a bit dry so I asked for some syrup to pour over the waffle. It did come with a maple aioli but I just prefer regular syrup. The hand cut fries were thick but hot and fully cooked. Very good! My mom ordered the build your own burger instead of getting one of their many signature burgers. Her meal came thick and stacked and juicy! An amazing looking burger and she loved the onion strings. Next time I go back I think I wanna try The Wanderer burger because it looks very good! We also ordered a burger to go for my dad and our waitress was so good, she put the order in as our meals came out, so when we finished the togo burger came out and it was super hot! Amazing service! Fun place to eat with lots of options! Check it out!

Three of us stopped in for lunch on a busy Wednesday about 1pm. Their brick lined wide open space allows for almost a complete 360 view of entire restaurant, bar and TV's. Our server was pleasant and attentive constantly checking in and refilling beverages. Has Philly cheesesteak with Mac and cheese, onion soup chicken with slaw and chicken Ceasars salad. Everything was delicious and plentiful. Enjoy!

I've seen this place for years in the area, but never stopped to try them out. Went yesterday for a quick lunch. There weren't busy at all and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I was with a group and we all ordered something different. Food was fresh, hot, portions were plentiful and had good flavor.

Ambience was lively, very busy for a Thursday which meant the food must be good. Service was great for how busy it was, I had 2 beers and our waitress was great to make sure I was satisfied. Food was pretty good! Not anything spectacular but it was very good and I would definitely go back!

There is absolutely nothing "wimpy" about the portion size or the taste. The patty was juicy, seasoned perfectly, and the toppings were fresh. If you're looking for a burger that actually fills you up and delivers on flavor, this is the one to get.

Our experience here was excellent! We stopped in at 11:30am on a sunday and were quickly seated. The patio was already pretty full but luckily we got a table. They have picnic tables off the deck as well as a "kiddy" grassy area and a decent amount of seating inside. They have a great craft beer selection, really fun cocktails and a variety of daily specials. I had a mimosa then a peach margarita which was delicious. The steak tacos were fantastic!! And the house made chips made my day! Great little place and extremely affordable!

Everything about our experience at The Improper Pig was absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in, the decor and atmosphere stood out and hit all the marks, a few dust places but I'm assuming this place has been here awhile so let's call it that...but the attention to detail made the restaurant feel unique, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed in a warm way. The service was top-notch, with a friendly and attentive waitress she was more eager to fill our drinks than I was to drink lol but honestly she single handily was a beautiful train of productivity, the entire staff was, very impressed, that's a rare find these days and especially for the South. The manager, I imagine runs a tight ship...that helped make the experience even better. The biggest surprise was when my fried rice arrived at the table. The portion size was incredible for the price, mostly because and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. It was flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with technique. I will say the brisket on the barbecue plate my husband ordered was incredibly dry, the plethora of flavors of barbecue sauce on the table couldn't help it either...I'm thinking they reheat the meat for the bbq plates throughout the day (which makes sense) but they maybe need to consider another reheating method or I'm curious when the bbq is freshly made...I'd love to come in that day. Either way I truly left almost completely speechless...what a gem. We will be back to ensure it wasn't a one off type of day. It's not often that you find a place where the atmosphere, service, value, and food all come together so well...with techniques going in the kitchen. Whew! We had a wonderful experience and will absolutely be back!

Ashley was our server and she was amazing -- very attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. She really made the experience even better. We started with the pork belly skewers topped with ranch, BBQ, crushed cashews, and pickled red onions -- 10/10. Huge portion and packed with flavor. The balance of sweet, tangy, and crunchy was perfect. The chicken Caesar sandwich was sooo good. It's a massive sandwich with a crispy chicken cutlet topped with Caesar salad, pickled red onions, and chickpeas. Fair warning: it's a little hard to eat because of the size, but completely worth it. The dressing leans more vinegar-forward than creamy, which I personally loved. I'd honestly order it again just as a salad. The truffle parm fries were another 10/10 -- loaded with parmesan and full of flavor. The stout braised beef melt was amazing. Tons of meat and the flavors blended together perfectly. Definitely a standout. The pub chips with added Cajun seasoning were okay -- not bad, just nothing super special compared to everything else. As longtime fans of their previous food truck, we're so impressed with what they've grown into as a restaurant. It's clear they've kept the quality while elevating the whole experience. We'll absolutely be back!

The Sammich was piled high with 4 slices of brisket. Not chopped, no picked apart, no skimpy but thick, hang over the edge moist, seasoned brisket. I took a nibble a said "ohhhh". I like it. That made me grab some sauce. I mean absolutely tiny bit on the side just to see. I tasted the Strawberry and was elated. Its freakn delicious. The strawberry plays so well with the heat and a hint of sweet. The peach was freakn fire. I had to come back and grab 2 Oz of each. I thought it couldn't get any better till I bit into the Mac. All the dogs tasted good but it was just good. With the place not being servirle orientated, you would expect more emphasis to be placed on the food but I didn't really feel that. More focus seems to be on loading up toppings rather than making a real quality dog that you would even enjoy void of toppings.
