NIck and his crew recently painted my loft, but I didnt have them do the closets. I realized that was a mistake, so I hired them to come back to do the closets. They did a WONDERFUL job at a fair price and high quality work. They really pay attention to detail and are so efficient and respectful of your property and time! I could not be happier! If you are looking for someone to do high quality work and attention to detail you should hire Nick! They are just terrific! read more

Reasonable price, Decent paint job within the estimated time. Only issue was scheduling of the appointment - it had to be rescheduled a number of times with numerous phone calls/messages to cancel & schedule. I almost thought I'd have to hire someone else but finally the job got completed after long patient waiting. read more

Only five days from quote to project completion. Couldn't be happier with their responsiveness, quality and reasonable prices. Would definitely use again and recommend to anybody else! read more

I cant say enough about Nick, you only have to make sure you and him are on the same page because his English isn't great. But his work is spot on. He did my 2700 square foot home , top to bottom in 3 days before I moved in. After the furniture arrived he came back and fixed all the marks the furniture movers made on the walls. A truly professional job done by a bunch of nice people. He had a gentleman named Stefan who helped us with colors also. Great Guys. I cant say enough. Also they come on time, almost to the minute. I forgot to say I hired Nick after I went to see a recent job of his while he was working, that's when I decided he was the one, and he worked on Saturday to make sure we were ready for the movers on Monday........ read more

Nick did some painting for me when I moved out of my apartment in Jersey City. He was punctual, clear about costs/materials - and finished the job ahead of schedule at a fair cost. Would highly recommend! read more

Nick and team just painted our apartment in jersey city. Was very knowledgable and offered several recommendations, all of which turned out well. Overall job was top quality and nick came back when completed to make sure everything was perfect. would definitely use him again. read more

Tried to schedule Nick for a second job given that he had done a decent job the first time around in my condo. He is not able to manage his tight schedule and ended up postponing and eventually cancelling on me after scheduling it (even though he knew the urgency on my end). His spoken english is not perfect and HANGS up on people when he is not able to understand them over the phone. I'd recommend him to get a receptionist/manager who can manage his clients and schedule. read more

Nick and his team painted my apartment today - 2 bedrooms and the kitchen. They were not only prompt, professional and efficient but also incredibly nice and helpful. I would highly recommend Hoboken Painter! read more

Nick and the team were amazing!! They were very easy to communicate with and made the whole process extremely easy. They went out and bought all the paint that was needed for my 2 bed, 2.5 bath apartment. They arrived on time, patched many LARGE holes and made the apartment look brand new! Prices were good. Would highly recommend! read more

I had a great experience with Nick and his painting crew. After responding quickly, he was able to come to my place for a quote within days and complete the job shortly after that. The paint job is beautiful, and he was a pleasure to work with! read more

Nick and his team are great. When we moved in 2.5 years ago, our friends recommended them and we were not disappointed. They painted two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large living/dining area with two hallways within 3 days to perfection (though we didn't have any furniture in the apartment yet). We've moved a few things around since then, and I'm still amazed at the attention to detail. Recently our four-story building also needed new paint in the stairwell, so we reached out to Nick. Luckily his team was available (they book up pretty quickly), and they got it done within a week (two days of work, a Friday and a Wednesday). I was able to meet Oscar and Johann this time, and they do great, high-quality work. They fixed our walls which were a mess with dents, marks, holes, and stuck anchors, and they were also happy to clarify any questions I had, or made sure Nick was able to answer. They were a day late, but I don't mind as we're glad we have painters we can trust! (For comparison: In a pinch we had to work with another painter in a smaller space, but I definitely regret doing so. Hoboken Painter isn't cheap, but it was worth not having paint all over the floors, incomplete work, and having to wait two full weeks. Granted the other contractor sanded some doors, but then there was wood shaving spray painted to the wall and they didn't even sand all of the doors. Never want that bad experience again). read more

They were great! The processes was easy from start to finish and the results were wonderful. Not only that but they did it quickly and at a very decent price. The place looks great - thank you Nick and team! read more

The best. Seriously. It's a long story, but I was in a jam. At the last minute, Nick personally came in and painted my living room. I had friends doing the rest of the house taking days and doing not such a good job. Nick did my living room in two hours and it was amazing, so smooth, no lines. Plus he is really nice and can be your grandfather. read more

Nick is so sweet and patient and a pleasure to work with. I bought my house a few months ago, met with him before I moved, and a few times after because I kept pushing out the date and frankly I couldn't decide on paint colors. He came to visit when I needed him, was quick to set the date, and finished my house in less than 2 days. He did an amazing job and was willing to repaint my kitchen right away because I hated the color (my fault-not his). Very worth the redo. His team was very kind, the job was amazing and VERY reasonably priced. I would use him again in a heartbeat. Thank you Nick and Team for making my home perfect!! read more

We hired Nick to pain our 1,800 sq ft condo. For every appointment, he was on time, made good suggestions and was meticulous. His quote was extremely reasonable and the paint job was great. He was very sweet and pleasant to work with. He stayed late one night because he knew that we wanted to get all the bedrooms done before we moved in. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. His English is limited, but he's very responsive on email and to be honest, there wasn't too much to communicate besides 'use this color on this wall'. read more

this family team is systematic and diligent. they will go above and beyond your expectations. most importantly, they are just very nice people. couldn't have asked for a better experience. read more

From the reviews, I thought that he would be very diligent but the paint job was sloppy and he lost a couple of my switch plate covers and reinstalled my doors incorrectly. I would not hire him again. read more

When I found "Hoboken Painter" online I thought that I had found exactly what I needed. After requesting a quote and receiving a quote via email I tried to set up an appointment, however even though I had attempted contacting by email and phone I never heard anything back. When I tried to contact him again he acted like he never heard about my job and said that he would have to come out to do a quote. We scheduled for him to come out to do a quote the next day at 6:00pm (within the next 24 hours) and even asked for me to write him an email as a reminder. When he didn't show or respond to the email, my text or phone calls I assumed that he would not be coming. I later received a text from him, "Sorry, my working day from 6:30am to 7:30pm. Please you find someone." Which I can only assume means that he doesn't want my business. Now we are stuck doing the job ourselves because I first emailed 6 days ago now. Poor business and NO customer service. read more

Nick has painted most of our JC condo, and has done a fantastic job for us! He was able to finish the jobs quickly but with care, and his quotes were always correct. He even picked up the paint for us! We would hire him again! read more

Nick and his team were fantastic. They came on time and finished same day. Their work was great and reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Nick did a fantastic job painting our house. He was quick, effecient, careful, and extremely pleasent. I had a living room, 2 bedrooms and a kitchen/living room painted, and he did it all in a couple of days. There was one spot he missed, and he was more than happy to come up and do a small touch up. He filled all of the holes left by the previous owner too. Affordable price, I'd recommend to anyone. read more

I needed to find a painter to paint my 2 bedroom condo in Maxwell place and after some searching on our internal building website Nick was suggested to me by another resident. I was able to get in touch with him and he came by quickly to perform the initial estimate which was very reasonable in price in relation to other painters in the area. He also gave detailed information on the suggested type of paint which i was able to get myself through someone i knew at Benjamin Moore at a discount. Nick got the painting done quickly the same week i was moving in and came back to do some touchups. He was very flexible around meeting me around my schedule and such a great person who impressed both me and my girlfriend with his kind manner. I'd suggest him to anyone in Hoboken looking to have work done. read more

Because of the great reviews found here, I reached out to the company for a quote. Not only was it difficult to speak to Nick over the phone (he has a very strong accent), but he was also incredibly rude. When I politely asked whether a mistake may have been made given the fact that his quote was almost double what I had received from other local companies, he told me that he had a lot of work already so I should just use someone else for the job. read more

Although I've already repainted the wall in question, Hoboken Painter did make good on this by refunding the portion of the cost that would have gone to hiring a pro to repaint it. I'm satisfied by this resolution, and also by the fact that they really do stand by their work. read more

One of the best experiences I have had by far from anyone! Nick and his team were very professional and did an excellent job! Excellent paint on walls, ceilings and moldings. He even touched it up few weeks after the main job bc our floor people messed up the moldings. His paint was spot on and catered to every small request we asked. You need a painter in the Hoboken/JC area? GO TO HOBOKEN PAINTER!! read more

Nick and his team did an excellent job and were flexible in terms of scheduling and making sure I got what I wanted (a miscommunication regarding which color belonged in which room was promptly corrected on the second day of painting). The team also did impressive work restoring with plaster part of my ceiling which had been damaged due to a burst pipe. One word of caution -- the overall price was more than I anticipated when ceilings and paint were taken into account. Definitely shop around and compare quotes (including cost of paint). read more

I knew my project was in good hands when Nick showed up on time and ready to go for the bid. He's a very nice guy, but has a very thick accent, so be sure you're both clear on what needs to be done. I tend to mumble and ramble, so we had a great time trying to sort things out. ;^) I had some weird ideas about what to do with the walls in my small apartment, but Nick was right there with me, making sure I knew what I was asking for. I had him split the walls horizontally into two different colors. After painting there were some wavy sections where the colors meet that he had his crew come back and tighten up. There was also a small issue with the paint bleeding between the two sections in some areas, which I'll chalk up to a bad tape choice. Not a big deal, as I was able to touch up anything I didn't like without much trouble. They also did some hole patching and touch up from where I had removed a light fixture and medicine chest in the small bathroom. A serviceable patching job, and considering they aren't tape and texture guys, it worked out fine. Some minor paint splatter in areas, but that cleaned up easily too. (I would recommend you bring this up to Nick if it's a problem for you, so his crew knows to be more careful, as I see it mentioned in other reviews.) They also did an amazing job on my back deck. Lots of narrow slots and joins all stained up great. Super friendly, always on time, and fast. Highly recommended! read more

Nick is a lovely guy with a great work ethic. I had him paint a room for me and he did a great job and worked very quickly. He ended up missing a few minor spots but was happy to finish the room before leaving at no extra charge. I'd definitely work with him again. read more

We hired Nick and his team to paint our apartment before we moved in. He was referred to us by a friend, and the price he quoted was by far the best quote we received after reaching out to several other painters in the area. The team arrived on time and was very friendly and efficient. We were extremely happy with the results, and we even had Nick return to our apartment on a later date to install curtain rods and patch up a hole in our wall. Nick went above and beyond by coming back on New Year's Eve. He is very professional and knowledgeable, and I would recommend him to anyone for painting and handyman work. read more

With the stress of buying my first condo behind me, I was nervous about picking the right paint colors and finding a painter to make the place look nice and bright. So glad I found Nick. He is very professional, but more importantly, a nice guy. Easy to schedule estimates and paint jobs. The result-beautifully painted apartment. Made it feel like home. Would highly recommend Nick. read more

Nick and Company were incredibly great to work with. The finished product was amazing. Nick was very east to coordinate time for providing an estimate and day of painting. I was very pleased that they began work early in the morning and then painted 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, hallways, bathroom all before 3pm in the evening. Afterward my apartment was clean and the paint job was fantastic. I will only use Nich and his team in the future. read more

I would recommend Nick for anyone who is looking for a friendly personality, professional and quick painter. Nick was a pleasure to work with. Ordered exactly the colors we wanted and though he was pressed for time, did a really nice and thorough job. read more

Nick and his team did a fabulous job painting my 1 bedroom apartment. I called Nick and he came to my apartment the same day to provide an estimate and was back that weekend to paint the apartment. Very happy with the quality of work. Professional, quick and affordable. I spoke with Nick on Monday, he came with his team on Tuesday and finished painting six rooms and the upstairs and downstairs foyer, and it all looks great. Would definitely recommend. read more

Nick saved my apartment! My two bathrooms were floor to ceiling wallpaper (literally the ceiling was wallpaper), the kind that no matter what you do, it is stuck on for dear life. After removing half of it myself, I knew I needed someone to help me finish the rest. The walls underneath the wallpaper were damaged (some previously and some that I had accidentally ripped off, whoops) and Nick came in to save the day. They were in and out in two days and quoted me half of what every other person had said it would take to fix. I also got a quote from him for all of my other rooms and it was the most reasonable one we received. Don't let the price fool you though. The quality of work is outstanding and Nick's communication is great. He lets you know when he is coming and going and the job gets done usually in half the time that he says it will take which is great. Nick and everyone that works with him come highly recommended. You can't beat it! I would recommend him to clients, friends and family. read more
