Yuriy and his team are artists and perfectionists. They did a phenomenal job painting our 1000 sf JC apartment. He is extremely knowledgeable about his craft - he advised us on an issue that was divergent from our original ask and sure enough his solution turned out wayy better and I am happier for it! Yuriy is responsive, professional and very competitive in his pricing. They left the apartment spotless - not a dribble or speck to be found anywhere!!! To top this all they completed the job a day earlier than was originally estimated. I highly recommend him and his team! read more

Yuri and his team are really good. They helped me with my biggest headache. Yuri will help check any spot that's needed more painting until the customer is satisfied. In addition he charged me a reasonable price. I highly recommend their company! read more

Could not be more pleased. Hoboken Painters painted our ugly dark wood kitchen cabinets a beautiful soft white, transforming the kitchen. I didn't think it would be possible to make the cabinets look as if they had always been white. The price was reasonable, service was speedy, the painters kept things neat, and Simone was always quickly reachable by phone or text when needed. Recommended without hesitation. read more

As a busy professional, the last thing I have time for are errands in the middle of the day. I had Nick come out to my condo in the evening of the same day that I called him. He gave me a fair estimate, had a very warm personality, and came back the next morning at 7:45am and finished the job by 1pm that same day. I was able to visit the apartment off-hours again with him to review the work. He and his wife and team did an amazing job with my 1BR condo and didn't miss a single spot! His attention to detail is impeccable as he patched up a few areas that even I hadn't noticed. He only takes cash, so be sure to visit your ATM after he gives you the estimate. All in all, he took the stress off my back and got the job done within 24 hours. I plan to call Nick in the future and would highly recommend him! read more

They repainted my entire apartment and did a wonderful job. My parents were so pleased with this paint my job that they are looking to have them repaint their home as well. Highly recommend. read more

Nick painted my apartment, in J.C.'s Hamilton Park neighborhood, a few weeks ago. Though I understand he sometimes brings several family members along with him, for my place he brought a team of two super men: Stefan and Carlos, What a dynamic trio! He told me they would do it all in one day--which really sold me--and they did indeed. They showed up with all the paint needed before 9 a.m. and were out before 5. They removed everything from the walls, moved the furniture into the center of the room and covered it carefully and did a neat, professional job. I said I needed some patching done, but had underestimated the extent of it. But they handled it coolly and calmly. I love the place now! Price was exactly what I had been quoted, and they were three very pleasant people to have around the apartment. Nick makes it so easy to paint, or I should say, to get painted. . . read more

My apartment is a converted factory with very high ceilings, awkard nooks and crannies, exposed beams, stairs, difficult ladder positioning, etc. Basically, a painter's nightmare! I just bought the place (read: my budget was depleted), but it was in urgent need of a coat of paint. I called four contractors for quotes. One declined the job on account of the difficulty factor, and the other two provided proposals of more than double Nick's price and schedule. Nick visited me two or three times whenever I needed further information or changed my mind about something, and he did so ever friendly and polite, in spite of no guarantee of getting the job. When we finally settled on a scope and price, he was there promptly at the arranged time, with his assistant and his wife. Before speaking to Nick, my rough estimate was that the job would take at least a week, if done properly. Nick estimated he should be able to do it in three days. He ended up delivering it in ONE DAY!!! Sure, there were a few touch-ups required, so he revisited the next day (again, friendly and polite as ever). His pre-estimate of the amount of paint it would take was spot-on, and I was left with about half a gallon for future touch-ups. We misunderstood each other on the need to paint the bathrooms, so he pre-purchased paint for these, but when I told him I did not need them painted, he was absolutely fine with it and was happy to take the paint back at no cost to me. I am somewhat pedantic about painting: it has to be perfect for me to be happy with it (which is part of the reason why I did not want to take on this task myself...). All I can say is that I am 100% satisfied with what Nick delivered! I cannot fault a thing: value, timing, quality, professionalism. He scores full marks! read more

Yuriy and his team were terrific. They removed wall paper and painted a room for me. Quick response to my request for a quote - and they were really fairly priced. Made themselves available far quicker than expected. Came with all the materials. Very high attention to detail. Made sure I was 100% happy before they finished. Left zero mess when they were done. And... because the wallpaper removal was easier than expected they reduced their price! Highly recommend them. read more

I could not have imagined for a better painter & human being to paint my new apartment. As I'm a total novice, Nick took the whole responsibility and morphed into something exquisite & beautiful at a very reasonable price. The compliments keep flowing from everybody who visited my place especially the craftsmanship!!! Nick is always on time and highly flexible. He's become the painter for all of my needs going forward. Nick is the best!!!! read more

Nick & the team are really nice people, they squeezed me into their schedule, even though I gave them really short notice. They painted from 8 am to 1 pm which is insanely fast for a living room, kitchen, and staircase area + upstairs hallway. There was an area that needed refining, they came the next day and fixed it. They are really good and polite people, I highly recommend them. read more

I had my apartment painted last week. Hoboken Painter's quote was below competitors and the quote was fixed no add-on fees or surprises. Painters showed up on time and they finished on time. I would definitely recommend and use in the future. read more

We were looking for someone to paint our 2 bed condo and came across this business in yelp. The 5 star rating definitely was the kicker for me to call Nick. But honestly, for the kind of work that was done at my place, Nick deserves more than 5 stars. The attention to detail was spectacular and I couldn't praise the work more. The price was very reasonable too. We had no idea about painting a condo and Nick came a day before, advised us on the material to bring and we were glad to go by his recommendations. Nick is a fantastic person and a thorough professional. Highly recommended. read more

Great service and a really good price! I researched prices before I booked and I can say confidently that this is one of the best prices for interior painting in the area. And I could not be more satisfied with the service. Yuriy got me from estimate to a finished job within a week, and he was responsive and communicated well throughout the process. Francisco and Jose were very professional and friendly and took care with their work. I would recommend Hoboken Painter to anyone. read more

The way Nick does is perfect, prompt, reliable with very reasonable cost. And he smiles. I was looking for painter for my two bed apartment in Jersey City. My partner and I recently moved to NJ and had Hoboken Painter repaint our 2 bed 2 bath condo (walls, doors, all cabinets, ceilings, re-caulking, closets, windows). From the beginning of the process, Yuriy was very prompt and professional in responding to our queries. We had a tight timeframe to work with, but Yuriy ensured us that the project would be done in an effective manner and kept great communication with us every step of the way. The crew did a fantastic job at our place and we are absolutely satisfied with their work. Yuriy, Francisco, and the team were all so kind and we truly appreciate all the hard work they put in. We highly recommend Hoboken Painter and will definitely have them again in the future. Thank you Hoboken Painter!! read more

They did such an AMAZING job!! I contacted Nick last Tuesday for a quote to paint my one bedroom apartment. I wanted it painted within a week and a half (which I consider a pretty fast turn around, especially since the upcoming weekend was Memorial Day weekend). He came to the apartment the following day to give me a pretty accurate estimate. I was very specific in the items I wanted painted and what I wanted fixed and expressed my concern regarding my new hardwood floors. I also had a little problem with the paint I wanted. I had a pint of Sherwin Williams paint but Nick assured me he could take that to the place he works with and they could match the color for me. We scheduled for the following Tuesday morning. Fast forward to Tuesday, Nick and his team showed up on time and immediately started laying drop cloths. We walked the apartment again saying what should be painted and what should be fixed just to confirm. I got a call about 5 1/2 hours later saying they were finished! Did my walk through and could not be happier! The floors were intact and the lines were extremely nice (different colors on the wall versus ceiling). The estimate was also what I paid so no hidden fees for me! I highly recommend! Just an FYI -- cash seemed to be the preferred method of payment, which I didn't mind. read more

Rushed job, paint drip everywhere nick couldnt see them and put his glasses on still wasnt sure but was very sure he touched up some but after he left there were many. The light blue i selected made it show up even more. You read in the reviews that they were quick but this isnt good as they dont take there time and go over spots with drips. read more

Hoboken Painter did a great job painting our 3BR apartment in Jersey City. The price and timing they estimated was accurate and they were able to start within a couple of days of providing a quote. The painters did a wonderful job and were very detail-oriented. The prior paint job in our home was a bit sloppy so they took their time to clean up the lines and correct the mistakes that were there before. I had a great experience and would definitely use them again in the future! read more

I hired Yuriy, Nick, and their family to paint our condo unit in Paulus Hook after we moved out. We had used them 7 years ago as well, and once again they did an excellent job for a very fair price! We had to manage the job remotely from the west coast - and they were very accommodating, communicative, and gave us plenty of pictures to show a job well done (later confirmed by our realtor). They even came back a few weeks later to remove some large built-in furniture from the apartment for us, and fix up the wall. I would happily recommend them to anyone. read more

I recently bought a new condo . I bought it as it is and the room paints are red and mustard . I need someone I can rely on to paint my new place as soon as possible right afte my closing day as I have scheduled a house warming party two days after the closing. After searching in yelp, Hoboken painter stands out with all positive reviews. I contacted them and they replied fast. Nick scheduled to see my new home And estimate the cost. Nick arrived on time on the day we agreed to estimate my 3 bedroom condo. I was amaze how polite and soft spoken he is. After walking around He showed me a form that explains what kind of works needs to be done and how many gallon of paint is needed for every room. He even advised to buy few samples of paint thAt I like and paint a small area in my place to see if I will like it or not which is a BRILLIAN IDEA! He schedule me on July 23 a day after my closing and the day before my big house party. I was so anxious to have this done soon as I have also ask him to paint my ceilings. Nick's team arrived on time the day they have to paint my home. I was not there but my concierge called me to let them into my place. I went shopping for the party the same day. I have to stop by to my new place to put the cakes in the fridge around 2pm. When they opened the door I was so amaze how fast his team works!!! The whole place was alsmost done ! And I can see how careful they are putting blankets to protect my floor and plastic covers for my kitchen counters. Nick's team are very polite people! I felt so happy that the place is so beautiful and I got excited for my party the next day! They even fixed few cracks on my Ceiling! You might find they are a little pricey but I searched around and they nearly same prices.. but will definitely work with Nick again in the future ! Save yourself the stress and hand the job to Hoboken Painters! NICK! Thank you so so much!!! read more

Nick did a great job on painting and repairing my walls and doors. He's a very pleasant man, always smiling. I can tell he is concerned about quality -- old school craftsmanship. He speaks limited English, so you need to keep the instructions and conversation to the basics. But his happy demeanor makes up for the language skills. He brought his assistant, Sasha, with him, who was also very good. One tip is to make sure you're paying by the hour or by the project up front. I was a little confused. But in the end, the hourly rate quoted happened to turn out to be what he estimated for the whole job. So all ended well. read more

We hired Nick to do our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo and was so happy with the job that he did. He came and did a walk through with us before giving us an estimate and we showed him different areas that needed additional touching up. He was very detail oriented and gave us a great quote comparable to other quotes we got. We also needed a decent amount of repairs done and Nick and his team made the place look brand new! The job spanned over two days and after the first day, he reached out to make sure we were happy with everything. We had showed him pictures of an area that we wanted additional work on and he happily obliged and fixed it up the next day. We also added on the painting and repairs of our main bedroom closet last minute and he took care of with no issues. We were so happy with all his work and totally recommend! read more

As busy professionals my wife and I didn't have time to paint our condo in downtown Jersey City. After doing some research on the internet we came across the very nice reviews for Nick and his team. I decided to give a call and although he was very busy in the summer months he made it a point to come over and give me a very competitive estimate. We booked a date and him, his wife and brother were here at 745am and finished before I returned home from work. I tried to pay before I went to work but he said don't pay until you inspect our work. When I got home I was absolutely astounded by how wonderful a job they had done. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional and courteous paint crew. Thanks Nick! read more

Nick was wonderful to work with. He was easy to communicate with, very nice, professional and also flexible. We needed him to come in right away to do the bulk of the work but then come back a week later to finish up after we got some other work done, which he was able to accommodate. He completed the work beautifully and was also able to patch up parts of the wall that were damaged. I would definitely hire him again! read more

I hired nick to paint my one bedroom condo. He showed up for all appointments on time, gave a great estimate, and did an amazing job. He recommended the right paint to use for each room, fixed up/patched every hole in my walls and finished most everything in one day. He came back another day to finish up the woodwork and was in and out in an hour. My place looks fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a much nicer job or nicer person. Thanks nick. read more

I was on a very tight schedule to move into my house and was unlucky to hire a painter who seemed to be highly recommended but did a horrible job painting my house, was slow and careless so I had to find someone else. This time I went to Yelp and contacted Nick for help. He arrived the same day, provided a very reasonable estimate and said they can start the next day. Stefan and Francisco arrived on time and within 8 hours completely re-done my dining room which involved scraping old wallpaper, sanding, plastering the walls and painting. They have done high quality work and were nice and respectful. Over the next two days Stefan has repainted the trims upstairs and did great job too! It was a pleasure to work with Nick, I highly recommended him and will hire in the future! Eugene read more

Called Nick based on the reviews here on Yelp and couldn't have been happier. Nick is extremely friendly, down to earth, and eager to please. Needed to get my place painted before tenants moved in. Nick showed up on time, gave me a reasonable estimate, and was able to get started quickly. He did a great job, especially around the crown molding. Place looks great and is ready for the new renters. Additionally, his wife did an amazing job cleaning, too. As mentioned elsewhere, his english is a little bit limited, but with a little bit of patience and some notes, it was more than fine. Would absolutely hire him again. read more

I called Nick and he was at my place that evening to give me an estimate. He and his partner were back at my place at 7:45am the next day before I left for work. When I came home my apartment seemed as if it had been painted that way. You would have never known there were painters there that day. They did impeccable work and reasonably priced. I also asked Nick to hang a bathroom medicine cabinet and he did this as part of the job. I would recommend him to anyone in Hoboken that needed paintwork done! Great Job! read more

After a failed attempt at me trying to paint a room in my new apartment, I realized I needed professional help for the rest of the apartment. Nick and his team came to the rescue! Nick came by one evening to check the apartment and give me a more accurate quote. I have to say he is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I had minimal lighting in the apartment and he was kind enough to look around in the semi darkness and offered me a ride to the train station afterwards! The estimate was very very reasonable for the quality of service and the actual painting. On the morning of the paint job, Nick arrived with his team and very quickly covered the walls in what can only be called a perfect job. They were kind enough to show my husband and me what we were doing wrong with our efforts in the room we tried to paint. Overall, a great experience, I would gladly recommend them to my friends and family and hope the team stays as awesome as they are right now. read more

I cannot say enough about Nick and his crew! First off, Nick is an incredibly nice guy - and super responsive. Came to our apartment and gave a price quote which was he stuck to even after I postponed the job for several weeks. Nick & crew arrived on schedule. They were prepared, polite and helpful (we had some items that were too heavy for my roommate and me to move - no problem!) And the paint job they did was excellent - not a speck or drip. Will definitely use Nick again - I recommend him most highly. read more
