I contacted Silva's Painting once I decided to have my garage and backyard deck repainted. I also needed some specialty painting on a fireplace mantel and Andersen patio doors. Earlier this year, extensive rain caused a leak in my kitchen ceiling. With the roof repaired it was necessary to paint the ceiling. I met with the business owner, Lorenzo Silva, on a Thursday. He explained what needed to be done and how long it would take. On Monday, the crew arrived on schedule and completed the job by Wednesday. I needed to redo almost my entire main floor, both for painting walls and ceilings and fixing cracks where the house settled due to previous construction. I found this business in one of those mail inserts with a 10% discount coupon. I met with the owner Lorenzo who provided me with a printed out estimate. The job was completed over a 3 day period. Lorenzo showed up with the painters (Marcelo & Angel) to go over what had to be done. The work was done professionally and neatly. Painters complied fully with COVID-19 protocols. Full cleanup was done at the end of each day. They came prepared with high intensity lamps to provide a clear view as to what needed to be done. Of particular note was an intricate molding design on our fireplace that had to be painted. It's incredible that they were able to pull this off with a steady hand. The ceilings and walls came out beautifully. All cracks were repay including some ugly looking ones. Another painter, Edwin, came another day just to finish up some minor items. My wife and I used Silva's painting to do work in our CO OP and we really could not have been happier. For one Lorenzo is a true gentleman that sticks to his word. My apartment needed A LOT of work and he was very honest and up front from the beginning about cost and time frame. Lorenzo explained everything and took the time to not only explain everything to my wife in person but reexaplained everything to me over the phone. My walls were in horrendous shape and Lorenzo explained exactly what needed to be done to ensure the walls would be repaired. Lorenzo is also a very punctual guy and when you make an appointment with him he sticks to the time you agree upon which is very impressive. For instance, we had an appointment at 9 am and he showed up right on the dot. That made me feel very comfortable. Secondly, Lorenzo and his crew pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO DETAIL. My Gosh I could not believe the finished product when I saw it. Lorenzo's company did such an amazing job in our apartment it left both my wife and I so happy we called our parents to tell them! The moldings, the intricate areas, the trim work everything was done with precision. There was no slop work which is always a concern. The crew even cleaned the house after they were done and moved everything back to its original place. Thirdly, Lorenzo was very easy to get in touch with and constantly updated us via telephone call or text. He kept us in the loop throughout the project and answered calls or texts immediately. Overall if I could give Silva's painting 10 stars I would. He really transformed my apartment and I could not be more thankful and happy. Lorenzo is a true gentleman. Silva painted the exterior of our house in 2018. We called them back to paint two of our bedrooms in April 2021. Lorenzo and his team were professional and extremely courteous. Their work was neat and they cleaned up every evening before they left. A pleasure to have in and around our home. Of course the work was superb or we wouldn't have called them back. Painted 3-story home and restored the original look of the house prior to siding being installed over original stucco and wood, all the work was completed on schedule as originally discussed. A few weeks after job completion, Lorenzo came back to inspect how everything was looking and had his workers come back to touch up a few spots. I selected this company (Silva's Painting) to paint a one bedroom apartment (3 rooms total) in Queens. To be fair I wasn't looking for cheapest so I decided to pick the middle priced of 3 estimates from different companies. I was very impressed with the professional demeanor of the gentleman who offered the estimate as well as the six workers that showed up on painting day. The job was finished in less than half the time estimated. At first it seemed decent but after viewing the walls in daylight I noticed imperfections needing attention. While the father came to make the necessary repairs it was just a matter of time before noticing more and more failures. I am convinced that the apartment never saw a second coat (as estimate) nor the professionalism of the painters. read more
