I was up in Mammoth for a weekend camping trip when my car started overheating on Saturday afternoon. Being a weekend, almost every shop was limited or completely closed. As I waited for the engine to cool down, I decided to try my luck calling local shops, and Nancy with Mountain Motors was the only one who answered. Even though they were technically closed, she told me that if I could safely drive it the 10 minutes down to their shop, they'd take a look. I filled it with coolant and made it there without issue. It turned out to be a bad radiator. Because it was the weekend, we checked around and realized a replacement part wouldn't arrive until Wednesday. I spent the rest of Saturday and Sunday trying to figure out my options, including checking towing costs to get the car closer to home, which was going to be incredibly expensive even with my AAA. Throughout my initial indecisiveness, Nancy was so patient, helpful, and supportive. It was clear they had my best interests at heart, so I trusted them and decided to leave the vehicle in their hands. Not only did Mike repair the radiator, but he did it in a timely manner and even pointed out a few other maintenance items I should keep an eye on. My biggest issue was logistics, I only had one specific upcoming weekend available to make the trip back up to pick it up, or else it was going to be very difficult for me. They managed to squeeze me into their tight schedule to make it work. To top it all off, when I returned, dropped off my rental car at Mammoth airport, they even offered to pick me up and bring me back to the shop. Overall, Mountain Motors provides unmatched service. We went to Mammoth motors auto repairs and Michael was very kind. He checked out my Ford SUV and found that the right front tire had separated due to the heat of the desert being 109F. He ordered a new radiator from Bishop and had our truck fixed and back on the road the SAME DAY. I honestly can't say enough about how grateful we are. And beyond the amazing service, Jorge is one of the nicest and most genuine people I've ever met. He could have easily told us we'd have to wait, but instead he went out of his way to help us when we were in a stressful situation. We typically do not order off of the happy hour menu, but we decided what the heck prices seem to be better, Let's give it a shot. Keep in mind we've done this a few times here and there's never been an issue substitution wise for ordering tacos, however on this visit, we were told we could not do any substitutions which I thought was kind of odd as I'm not a seafood fan so I simply requested to have one of the other whether it be Asada or Pollo instead of a trio and not the seafood. After many discussions with our server, and then the manager that was on duty, I was told they're absolutely was no substitutions which I thought was unreasonable ,so after a long time customerI decided we would just not order and close out our bill and this put a sour taste in my mouth about LaCosina. They continue to raise their prices and now not offer choices, and not cater to those who do not like seafood. I am saddened to say, but we will no longer be a customer at La Cosina.

Like everyone else pulling…read morean RV with a diesel truck to the sierras, things happen and this last July 4th weekend, it happened to my family and in a big way.... Headed south and into independence, the turbo on my 06 Chevy duramax went south in a huge way. AAA couldn't help in the area so I reached out to Britt's in Bishop as they had great reviews. They gave me the number of a heavy hauler and help me get the tow lined up super fast which was huge. They were great with communication that it would take a week or so to get to it which was totally fine as we had another ride home and I knew it wasn't going to be a simple fix. They helped me with storing the RV while the work was being done. They ended up having to completely replace the turbo, some lines and hoses and a few other small things. Also noticed that my frion was a little low and with the hot drive home, topped it off for me. This isn't a quick or easy job on this truck and the attention to detail showed in the end result. I nervously hitched up the RV after they finished and headed 200 miles south in 105 heat and she runs like brand new again. The entire crew there was super helpful and nice throughout the entire process. Moral of the story, if you're in the area at all and need help you can trust, Not only are they the best but probably the only ones with the combo of knowledge, a massive and impressive shop, friendly peeps and great pricing. IF YOU'RE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD RIGHT NOW, STOP SEARCHING AND PICK UP THE PHONE. YOU FOUND YOUR SOLUTION. Thanks guys for everything, you have another customer for life.

So of concern I went to Yelp and found Compass RV and I gave them a call. I spoke with Rodolfo and he set the appointment up. When the day arrived Marco showed up on time. He was very friendly and went right to work. After a few minutes of troubleshooting he found that it is a blown fuse. He replaced it and I was back in business.
