I got mine with caramelized onions, baked potato, and fresh veggies. We both got it medium rare. She got hers topped with Point Reyes Blue Cheese crumbles. Her daughter got Filet of Petrale Sole Meuniere. First came a basket of bread. But, two of us are gluten-free. The Waiter made a point to check with the kitchen on all our meals. The steak came out smelling like garlic. It looked so much better than the picture I posted. It was so tender it cut with a butter knife. The color of the steak inside was perfect medium rare. The flavor on the taste buds is what dreams are made of. Some meals we remember for a lifetime. Because every bite is just that scrumptious. I can still almost taste it by just thinking about it. For dessert, we got the classic Bananas Foster, which is made tableside. It is dinner and a show. Bananas Foster is such a decadent treat. The show begins with the melting of the butter, and the aroma will still your breath away. Then add in the brown and white sugars. Several alcohols are used. I believe they use Banana liquor as well as rum. Then a fire is lit in the pan. It sparks when the cinnamon is added. Then the bananas are cooked ever so lightly. Sometimes, too much liqueur is added, and the flavor is off. However, on this night, it was spot on. The sugars and liqueur create a caramel sauce for the bananas, and vanilla ice cream is added. The ice cream that was used tasted like a French Vanilla ice cream with little flecks of vanilla. Each bite was a walk on a cloud. My friends had never had Bananas Foster before. I think they will be back if only for the Bananas Foster. The bananas and caramel with a kiss a vanilla ice cream just send your taste buds to heaven. Each bite will have you desiring more, even if you are beyond full. Each bite is so divine. It tastes so decadent that your mind will be blown that it is bananas and vanilla ice cream. I can't remember the name of our waiter. He was such a delight and made sure we had a great time. This was a meal I will remember for a long time. Thank you to the staff at Duke's Steakhouse. Adrian knows us and we are very good customers there. I think some things changed in management, Kevin the waiter who has been there since it opened is no longer there and you could feel a different vibe going on in the restaurant. The happy hour menu has changed and my husband's favorite Chardonnay is no longer included, but Adrian bought him a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc which was very tasty for $8. Adrian is a wonderful bartender and we enjoy his service! Sad to hear Jenna moved on too! First visit, my husband and I shared the Escargot, mushroom appetizers and twin lobster tails and ribeye dinners. Meals are served with bread and a large fresh salad, a starch and veggie. The apps lacked a little salt and escargot had a little too much garlic that was not cooked down enough but still edible. If they sautéed or roast the garlic a little longer it would get the savory garlicky butter flavor a bit better but it also needed salt. Toast points would set this off. The mushrooms were fantastic, again it just needed a little salt. Salads were large, crisp and super cold on chilled plates (my fav) and the house balsamic vinaigrette is phenomenal. We decided to skip the starch and just had sautéed veggies and our entrees were so delightful. Perfectly cooked and well seasoned ribeye and the twin lobster tails were perfect! Both entrees were Juicy, moist and full of flavor. Service is good and personable . It's a small staff and they serve as a team. The restaurant itself is dated and could use tweaking but did not affect our experience. Visit #1 for 2 people with premium cocktails under $150 with a very good tip! Solid score. Visit #2 just a couple weeks later... this time with friends we got escargot and mushrooms again but added lobster bisque and shrimp cocktail. Delicious! Mushrooms were great, shrimp cocktail were fresh and snappy. The housemade cocktail sauce is good just heavy on the horseradish. The lobster bisque was fantastic and had tons of chunky bits of lobster. I tried the escargot again because it's one of my favorite dishes and I wanted to see if they were just off on the previous visit. It's definitely a preparation flaw. There is just too much garlic and Is just too raw and salt is still lacking. It would be a super easy fix and pleas, please, please add toast points to sop it all up! We all had twin lobster tails and got different starches to share. Fantastic Again!!!! Perfectly cooked tails. Delicious, juicy succulent tails. Garlic mash- yum! Rice pilaf- yum! Backed potatoe- yum! Salads were fresh, crisp and cold. We shared desserts and got a bananas foster and a campfire s'more. This was the worst part of the meal but still pretty good. Bananas foster is not table side prep but bananas were brûléed/candied and was the star of the dish. The s'mores were not really s'mores but were tasty nonetheless. The marshmallows were charred perfectly. I personally would forego dessert for another lobster tail, lol. We also had a couple rounds of martinis so I forgot to take more pictures past the appetizer course they were a little busier on this night so service was slower but still good. They are highly knowledgeable of the meat they're serving, they know just the right temperature to pick for you, and they are highly attentive. I've never met the owner but I bet you the owner is proud of the amazing work these guys do. It is damn hard to find workers like that. The foul odor of tobacco now permeates itself right into their dining room. They've moved every booth & table for reasons known only to the thoughtless management. They removed the seniors & youngsters items from the menu, cut the choices by at least by 50% & of course raised the prices. They even removed the recently remodeled bathroom's from the restaurant. Now you have to walk all the way back to the building's entrance to find one. Let's not dare mention the destruction of employee morale and removal of their employment benefits. Perhaps they should concentrate their growth to Las Vegas where people don't know any better or don't care. They have ruined a locally owned business with their corperate greed, lack of thoughtfulness or concern for what the local community, the ones keeping them in business, actually wants.. Then the most disappointing part: the plates were really hot but the food was not. Lukewarm eggs benedict (ick) and potatoes and breakfast meats. Some of the non-breakfast dishes were flavorful like the chicken (very flabby skin but easy to take off) and the pork, but again, not hot and the rice that came with the chicken was crunchy as though it had been sitting on a counter top and not under the chicken in a chafing dish. The Onion Rings were tempura style fresh made in house...no frozen bag crap here. For my husband they were a hair on the doughy side but they weren't greasy at all which a totally appreciate. The Garlic bread was tasty having a hard Toasted cheese top with the gooey cheese underneath and the flavor was spot on. I'm a dark beer drinker so I went for the MOOSE DROOL if you had to many the moose wouldn't be the only thing drooling . You can't go to a tavern and not try one of the drafts...that would just be wrong. Hubby had the Prime Rib sandwich thought it was tasty with the chimiruri sauce and provolone cheese. I had the Meatloaf melt. It was the bomb. Tons of grilled onions a total mess to eat but so worth it...just make sure to ask for extra napkins. It's a place worth driving to...hang with the locals and have a pint. Be kind to one another
