A beautiful new store long anticipated and welcomed locally especially with limited choices in craft oriented shopping . I would like to say my shopping experience was top notch as I do when shopping at Hobby Lobby in Ontario. But in the Redlands store here the isles are so narrow it's actually clostrophoic especially when others are sharing the limited space. Also at a time when businesses are doing the next in line advance to the next available cashier what do we face but get in a line and hope you chose the right one. Some steps forward here and some n back. read more

I have had two paintings with custom mat and frames. They were a lot cheaper and friendlier than Michaels where I have gone in the past. The people are very knowable and give great suggestions. read more

This place has the shittiest customer service I've seen in a while. There was a woman here, Beth, who snatched a piece of candy out of my daughter's hand because she believed that she was trying to steal the opened box of candy. The woman was blatantly rude and asked if she was going to buy anything and promptly left with the rest of that type of candy in stock. Her actions were NOT the last of it. The cashiers were loaded with about ten people per aisle. The cashier that "helped" us spent thirty minutes on the person in front of us, having trivial conversations and wasting our time. Aside from all that, the aisles of items near the back were littered with employees having conversations with friends and family when they could have been improving the overall experience of shopping here. Trash. read more

They have great items, and REALLY nice associates on the floor! Their store is always clean, and I love just browsing, although I do purchase a lot because I'm a photographer and they have great things for my shoots! Here is where my problem is: Check out!! You can NEVER get thru check out in under 20 minutes... EVER!! Why??! Because EVERY checker asks "do you have a coupon?".... oh, they didn't but let's stand here looking on our phones for a coupon, and holding up the line. There needs to be a rule like at JoAnns... you MUST have your coupons ready BEFORE reaching the cashier! This is so frustrating, 2 people in line ahead of you, both people buying 2 items, and it takes 20 minutes because the cashier asks if they have a coupon and then instructs them on how to get it. I have been dealing with this for over a year now, and the final straw on leaving a review was my last shopping experience, I left without 1/2 of what I picked up because there wasn't a price tag, I had already stood in line for 40 minutes (3 people in front of me, and I wasn't in the returns line) and the cashier moved so slowly (not an older person either) I had no more time to wait for her to call for a price check! Something needs to be done about this policy of asking for coupons AT the register. read more

Visit: 6/29/15 3:45 pm The good: Wide selection of craft supplies. They carry many brands and some really unique items the other craft shops don't have. Well organized fabric and floral section. Some of the home decor is really fun and I can see the opportunity of great gift ideas here. Everything is on sale all the time..... The bad: Everything is on sale all the time (reminding me of Kohl's doubled prices with 50% off to make everything a "steal") Store is cluttered to hell. Speaking of hell...there are a few too many religious items for my taste. I prefer my shopping experiences neutrally secular. I get that people love to decorate their homes with faith inspired decor. This store is heavily stocked, so if you're in to that, get here! No signs to direct you to the section of the store you need (scrapbooking, floral, decor) Was here today, in June. Christmas displays were being set up. The worst: This is why the 2 stars. I was here at the time above and am not sure if this is a regular thing, but I was bombarded with employee activity. I was nearly run down twice with a go back cart cart. Employees were coming up behind me and towards me down aisles. I felt like I was trapped in a maze and being accosted. In each aisle were boxes of merchandise and a constant drone of pages over the store intercom (seriously almost non stop, "fabric please call this number" "Team B to stationary") The store was swarming with employees pushing go back carts, unloading new stock (and blocking aisles with boxes). I came around several corners and kept apologizing for almost running into them. The frenetic scampering was terrible. I thought of talking to a manager. They try to stock during business hours, and there is space for this....but not all at once. I was run out of aisles because of not being able to pass the stockers. I had one so hot on my tail with an armload of broken down boxes I had to loop back around to shop in that aisle. I had to cut my visit short because I felt scared! I don't have panic attacks, but I imagine this is what one would be like. I went to the counter with my one item and was not acknowledged by anyone. I saw next to me a woman lecturing a girl with a full cart of go backs in a condescending manner....and then the girl walked away and rolled her eyes. I realized finally I was at the wrong check out (light was on...no one there) so I went to line 2. On my way I passed some lovely customers reeking of pot smoke (not Hobby Lobby's fault!) There the girl at the register didn't greet or acknowledge me. She hand typed in my item and then whined to the person on register 1 that she wanted off the registers while she was helping me. She was denied her request and grunted my total at me. I gave her exact change and practically ran out. I don't want to go back here, but if I fail to find needed supplies at Jo Ann's, Michaels, Crackerjack Too, Hancock and Amazon I will consider this place. I'd rather pay double someplace else to avoid dodging employees and feeling this uncomfortable. read more

Hobby Lobby - Stocking boxes on every aisle. Chaos. - Hobby Shops Near Me - Redlands, California

Horrible service, incredibly slow. Long line with 50 plus people in it endangering other's health.

This store has all the things I need no problem, but the checkout area needs improvement. Last two times I was there they only had two checkstands open. Had to wait longer than I thought. This time they had three checkouts open but long lines. They had to close one because I guess lunch time. So they had us move over to a new one. Problem is the employee did not have his register ready, had to log in and count his money. So now we are waiting longer because he wasn't ready. This was all done by the person in charge. So they are getting real bad at the staffing of checking people out. Not good, this is part of the whole customer service. read more

Hobby Lobby is what you get when you cross JoAnn's with a Michael's. The former's store is a third fabric, while Michael's has none. But they both have yarn, craft supplies, art, and decorating stuff up the wazoo. Hobby Lobby is in between in that it has some fabric, but not as much as JoAnn's. There is also the religious aspect of the place, which is why I was initially hesitantly curious. But, to my relief, there was no religion crammed in my face when I was shopping. In fact, I didn't even notice if it were. I'm sure that would be different if I were to come in during the holidays (except on Sunday, when they are not open to reflect the owner's beliefs). The only thing that I don't like is that for their sewing notions, they don't have a lot of name brands. They seem to rely on their own brand, Sewology, which is crap. read more

Nice clean store...course I'm here on Boxing Day (12-26-16) and a couple hours after opening. Sale in Christmas stock was at 66% off, forgot the store starts discounting about a week before the actual Holiday! Lots of employees stocking shelves, easy to ask for assistance, which I did, twice! No problem helping out! Not much in Miniature left but my fault for not going to HL first! Okay to close on Sundays, just an adjustment I need to remember. They do have some odd items...a thistle...needed four, so I just went four different times to use the 40% online coupon, each time...a little planning but worth it for the discount. Glad to have HL in two nearby towns to choose from! read more

Slowest cashiers ever. I have a quick return and have to use register 1 or 2. Of course these both have 5+ people waiting to check out. No waiting in the other 4 lines. It's ridiculous to not have a designated customer service register. Maybe good deals but poor customer service. read more

Desperately want to give them 5 stars, but if the lines weren't so long at the check out, I would. I use their fabric department for all my sewing needs (okay wants). There is always staff around to assist you in your search or to ask a question about this or that. Professional and truly nice people! The store is well stocked...just ask staff and they will literally take you to what you're looking for. read more

I'd give it 5 stars because every time we come here I lose my wife. It's the best 30 minutes of freedom of this side of the freeway. While she was spending all my money I waited at the front and there was a team meeting discussing the store audit.. glad you guys passed but wouldn't that be back room conversation?? Anyways if you see Janet let her know I went for beer. read more

Don't get me wrong but I Like Hobby Lobby the store it self because they carry alot of stuff I like to decorate my home with., just putting that out there! But they customer service is a joke the people that works there is full of shit!!! I would not ever shop at this location again with they prejudices asses and they call this a Christian store my ass workers are rude they have a problem on cashing checks especially if you an African American same old shit they ought to be glad I didn't curse them out sorry doesn't cut it for me they deserve this review from the managers to the employees they don't even deserve a star but a zero in my opinion ya'll better get it together that's all I have to say! read more

Staff is nice but management are always so rude especially when you have returns. Today it was very busy and I had a lot of little items to return but they only had 2 registers open.....as always and 1 is for returns. So not only are people in line behind me getting irritated with me for returning then I have to deal with a manager that acts like I'm bothering her.....no thank you. I will buy my supplies at Joanne's or Amazon. Not very friendly for a Christisn based store. read more

For being a Christian company I would say some of their employees, specifically the one cutting the fabric today so not gave Christian values. Her name must of started with an R because the initals on the ticket had and R. Apparently I wasn't acceptable in my apperance as I wasn't wear what she thought I should have one. You should really train your employees better to keep their personal political views to themselves. The person at the register was very friendly and so was the manager. That is the only reason it wasnt just one star. Clearly if the register clerk and the manager didnt have a problem with me the other employee should of kept her views and opinion to herself. Very rude. read more

They always have everything I need but I can never understand why they have a million employees out on the floor but only two check stands open. Please make a bigger effort on the checkout process. read more

Why doesn't Hobby Lobby use registers with scanners? It takes 20 minutes to get through the line when you have to ten key each item individually, and if I'm not careful watching the clerk type in the cost I may not get the sale price. I like your store and it's products but do not enjoy the time wasted in line nor the fact I have to watch each sale item to be sure it's run up correctly. Please join 2017 and get scanners for your customers not to mention your employees. read more

First and last time I wil go to Hobby Lobby. Very little positive to say. The good: Wow, they really do have a huge selection of items available for any person into crafts, do-it-yourself, household goods, knick knakcs, etc. Now the bad. How the heck do you find anything here? None of the aisles are marked, there are no signs and very few employees around to ask for assistance. I had to look down just about every aisle to find soap making supplies. More bad. A lot of people reviewing Hobby Lobby complain about the slow check out process. Boy are they correct. One check out open, 5 people in line. Long wait. At least the lady in line in front of was friendly and sweet. More bad, I was not aware until I got close to the check out that their online web site offers a 40% off coupon. I was able to access their web site but the 40% coupon froze and would not open. The cashier, who did not seem very happy to be there, said I might get better reception if I went outside and tried to get it to load there. She would hold my items until I came back, I told her her if I went outside I was not coming back in. I chose to leave rather than waste more time trying to get the site to load. Since the staff knows that there is a coupon, why didnt they offer me the discount rather than make me waste even more time? Even more bad news. I decided to call the manager and complain. I told her about the long line and the inability to load the coupon. She gave me a weak excuse about poor wifi in the shopping plaza. I know wifi is weak there but this is the only place in Mounain Grove that I have had problems accessing a company web site. No apology, no offer to come back, no offer to make it right. She never addressed the long lines until I mentioned it a second time AllI got was excuses and an Im sorry there was a line. Conclusion, it is clear to me that the unhappy cashier is a relfection of the uncaring management. You had your chance Hobby Lobby and you blew it! read more

Omg love this store they pretty much have it all everything you need for any type of crafts.. such an amazing store super awesome

Customer service really sucks here. Found a figurine I really wanted to buy but was broken missing a complete leg, so I took it to cashier and asked if they had anymore and the cashier was like whatever we have is what we have.. didn't bother to check overstock and was kind of like do you want it. Like really who buys broken items read more

I had a pleasant visit thanks to Sieg! I asked him if I could find some wooden sticks to make some Plant labels, and although he couldn't find any, he went out of his way to look and ask another associate. He was nice, talkative, and showed me similar items. Other associates were barely seen walking around and those who I did see, looked unapproachable and they moved fast. Thank you for your great customer service Sieg!!! read more

Interesting products. Not ideal customer service. Bad return policy. I like many of the products they offer. Unfortunately, the store manager who was working the day I came in was not customer-service oriented. When I came to her with a question/concern, although she was responding to me, she was not listening or trying to understand what I was saying. If you ever buy a gift for someone at Hobby Lobby, be sure to include the receipt with the gift--because if they take your gift back to get something else, they will only get 50% of the value in store credit. read more

I had a really good experience here today. Came in for some fabric for a project. The lady that helped me really took the time with me sorting through all the colors and available material texture. I was a bit indecisive and she was soooo patient with me. She really went above and beyond in my opinion, laying out several options at a time and even helping me decide on a few. She provided exceptional service with a smile. Believe me, most people would've probably left me to sort through it all myself. I know... I've been other places that do. But here it was totally different. I'll definitely be back. read more

Always enjoyed this place & it seemed like they had good prices but was informed today that even if a section says SALE all over it, the sale is only for certain items that week, wood, ceramic or poly resin. At least that's how the manager explained after I had purchased close to $200 and she refused to give a sale price to item that was between four 50 per cent sale signs. I went next door & found a similar beach item & purchased that along with $100 more of other items. I'll just verify sale prices at hobby lobby before I spend so much there next time... or just go next door!!! read more

Just ordered from the custom framing center and it was a great experience. I'd never had anything framed before this so I had a lot of questions, and Michael F. was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful. He really went above and beyond to make sure that I'd be happy with my purchase and I definitely am! Plus, the price was extremely reasonable. I would definitely recommend this location for custom framing. read more

Such a huge selection! Really friendly staff with great suggestions when needed. The store is nicely organized and clean.

Staff is ok, but management are downright mean to the staff, I'm in there at least twice a week for my small business supplies and anytime a cashier asks a manager or supervisor a question they get a very condescending answer.. Then today I walked in quickly and went right to where the supplies I needed are located and I opened my purse to pull out my list.. 3 seconds later, a voice on the loud speaker says "security! Please watch cameras 1 and 2!!" My first thought is really? You don't have a phone or A walkie talkie? You had to do that on the loud speaker? So clearly it was a scare tactic, and a tacky one.. now of course I can't prove it was for me, but I sure hope not. I sincerely hope this Christian business is not racial profiling. read more

The store is actually great and my kids love it, as well as I do. We've been here several times since it opened, and never had problems...until last week. Last week, I went shopping for items I needed in my classroom, and not only did I purchase teacher supplies, but I also purchased wall decorations for the classroom in the home section. (I'm tired of butcher paper and borders on my walls). When I proceeded to check out, the cashier (who's name is on my receipt) chatted with a floor employee the whole time I was there about what they did over the weekend. I don't need a conversation with my cashier, nor do I mind conversation that is work related, but side conversations about the weekend when my 2 small kids are listening is inappropriate. To top that off, she's saying "Hi" and giving "Shout outs" to employees who are working and walking by the register. The part that really made me dock 2 stars (thought about 3) is that, after leaving Hobby Lobby, I dropped off my purchases in my classroom (30 min. away) so I can set up another day. When I went back a few days later, I realized, I was missing 6 items that I purchased. Maybe I could of checked the bags before I walked out, but I purchased so much, there's no way I would of known. Besides, the filled bags are right in front of her, and she could of made sure I received all my bags...but no, she was too busy asking what people are doing for lunch. Now, I have to call on Monday to see if they still have the stuff I purchased but never received from the previous week. read more

2.5 Would prefer not having to sort through all of the home decor (it seems like the bulk of the store is filled with tchotchkes, and Sweet baby Buddha, many of them religious, which is a bit much) - the place is so huge it's overwhelming. You can certainly get anything, I'm sure...if you have the time to find it. I may be wrong but I didn't notice any signs hanging from the ceiling saying where things are...that would be super helpful for those of us who only want to run in and out of these places. I've returned, and yes...I've confirmed this is purgatory. No signage, you are doomed to wander here for all eternity if you want something as simple as a basket and wrap for it! read more

I really enjoy going to Hobby Lobby! They always have a wide variety and great prices! Employees are knowledgeable and helpful.

Wake up, Hobby Lobby! I love Hobby Lobby, but they never have enough registers open. Managers, as well as other associates will walk by a large line with only one checker, and no one cares to open another register. Today I got in a long line, and of course, there was one girl on a register. A customer was purchasing quite a bit of glass items (at least 25 pieces), and the checker slowly wrapped every single one of them. A customer behind me asked if they can open another register, and was told that the only two backup checkers were on their break together. What?! read more
