I really love the items that hobby lobby carries but I absolutely hate going into their stores near the end of the day. They are rude and condescending when you need to ask a question. I understand it's the end of the day but making an announcement EVERY minute for the last 10 minutes before you close is ridiculous. Flashing your lights on and off is enough to give someone a seizure and is not a pleasant experience. I tried to use the restroom 10 minutes before they closed and was told the bathrooms close 15 min before they close and aren't available. They have nice people that work there but their closing experience is terrible. read more

This place is perfect for anything crafty that you may be creating. A lil' bit on the expensive side, you're sure to find something on sale. However, their sales aren't eally a sale to be honest. It's just a high marked up item that's reduced to something that is average commonly priced for that same item somewhere else. To my dismay, they got rid of their 40% off one regular item coupon. This was something that had saved me and many money. Hopefully, once pandemic is lifted, they bring it back that coupon on. Associates are friendly. It's amazing that associates know where things are in this store. They have so much!!! Store is always clean and well organized. Plenty of parking in this plaza. read more

I never have a bad experience at Hobby Lobby and this Redlands location was no different. I found the yarn I came for. Well, truth be told, I found a lot of yarn I needed for my chunky yarn projects I'm working on and then some more soft yarn for a whole other project. I'd say the only difficulty was navigating to the check out line with out picking up anything else lol. Then while waiting patiently in line, a clerk opened up her lane for me. Big selection. However, waiting in line here is terrible. There are a ton of employees, but for some reason the manager (Tracy) only keeps 1 employee at the registers. She only calls more employees to help when the line is 10 people long. I don't understand this at all. Even when the line is long, Tracy doesn't step in to help, she just pretends to looks busy doing something else. The store in Redlands has a nice selection of things for a decent price. My only gripe is the checkout situation is horrible. Every time i shop here there is a very long line with only one cashier. The management will just stand by and watch the cashier struggle and not help...makes no sense to me. From the customer point of view it looks bad. Lets be proactive and iniative takers. This is a great place to shop for multiple crafts and nick knacks. I really appreciate the concept of employees first. What Would be an improvement for the CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE is for them to have more than 1 check stand OPEN versus waiting for the line to grow and then serving one at a time on another line. This practice is not customer friendly because other patrons walk up to the short line and then are told the "this line is closed" but it's not; they are serving next customer in the long line. This ic common in all Hobby Lobby stores I have shopped at. I have adjusted my shopping hours to avoid long lines. They clearly have the check stands available as well as the staff. Hope they can address this soon. ***Update *** Employees here are really friendly and helpful. I just wish the company would invest in scanners. The staff has yo hand type the price for everything which causes the Long long long line and wait time. Pretty-much the store is on sale 40% off 25% off 50% off. Christmas stuff is all on sale and it's not even Christmas yet. GO get your s*** right now go this month the line at the registers are little long I only waited 20 minutes in a long line so that's not bad it's honestly worth the wait. I hate lines but if there's a good deal I will wait in that line and 20 minutes is not that bad. This store had everything and it was very clean staff was very kind. I was really disappointed to see that they did not require people inside to wear masks, despite the fact that they are required for all individuals in all indoor public settings at the moment. I used to really like this hobby lobby, but it was tough to see that they didn't respect this effort. It felt somehow more unclean, which of course makes you not want to buy things. I recently went to Hobby Lobby to see if they could help me frame some 30 + year old prints that I'd forgotten about. James was so helpful with some great recommendations. He told me it would be a few days before I could pick it up. No problem I'd waited 30 years! He wanted his manager to check it out. I received a call a little while later it was Veronica his manager. I thought James was great but these 2 are definitely a winning combination!!! Veronica is ultra professional and a perfectionist with a high attention to details!!! I've had 4 things framed recently and the prices are so much BETTER than any another competitor and surprisingly I was able to pick up everything on the same day!!!! Terrible store to treat you like you're a criminal needed spray paint had to have someone unlock it for me the tops of the spray paint is clear taped to the can and I was told that once that lid is removed there is no returning then the cans were taken to the front register for me as if I could stick them down my pants! Then even though I'm close to 70 years old, I was asked for my identification! The register girl told me that store policy States I had to be id'd I could see somebody in their twenties still being id'd but almost 70? A little ridiculous for sure! Staff: The staff is helpful and knowledgeable on the items there. The lines can be long sometimes during certain times. They always have a specific person that's in every department which is helpful. Store: -Crafts: They have a lot of items for crafting such as knitting, painting, and home improvement items (ex. knobs, pulls). -Home décor: The home décor is spread out throughout the store. When you first enter the store they have décor that are organized by theme. It is so helpful when you are looking for specific themed items since it is so well set up. -Floral: I like that they have realistic feeling flowers, it is so detailed! I love shopping at Hobby Lobby. I didn't give them 5 stars because their signs are deceiving. Signs are posted everywhere stating 50% off floral, home decor, etc. so I picked up two different wood saying decor. The cashier said it has to say wall decor not table decor. How would I know that each tag has different names? You can hang it. They shouldn't have the signs everywhere only in the spots that are actually on sale. We went here today to look at picture frames. They did have a good selection and a sale. My reason for not purchasing a frame is because the frames here do not have picture frame joining hardware. I looooove this place, and wish I had discovered it sooner! It has everything you could possibly want to decorate your house. It's fun just to look around the store.... every aisle has a different theme (farm theme, super hero theme, Bible scripture theme, etc.). It has LOADS of fake flowers, and LOADSSSS of Christmas decorations, starting in October, I think. Only issue is the prices. A bit much for me. Even their regular sales still make things a bit out of my ideal price range. I do wish I had know that their Thanksgiving decoration sale is the week BEFORE Thanksgiving - apparently everything is sold out before the actual holiday. read more

Horrible experience I ever been in and I didn't know a what a hobby lobby was until I moved to the mid-west. When my sons nana (she is in heaven) introduced me when I was 7 months preggo with my son. Now I am on my second surprise pregnancy not one person greeted me I went mid morning shift and the lines were huge when walking in and I was worried there was no concern for the customers about the 6ft rule they let the lines look like Walmart (no offense love walmart) very disappointed in the lack of customer service and even though we waited in a long congested line Iam expecting my 2nd so I left my spouse in line and when my spouse asked for help by one of your MANAGERS were all BUSY they told me there busy right now very rude and nasty. Now i just dont write reviews just to be spite full I used to live in redlands it's my hometown I used to work at Kmart down the street before they were shut down.
