I miss Joann's. Hobby Lobby only gets 2 stars for their variety of merchandise but everything else can go about this place. The price is slightly less than Walmart but they put up these "____ always on sale ___% off!" Signs up everywhere. But the sale is only a specific brand, yet the sign is EVERYWHERE in the entire aisle. Shady to always have a discount on something firstly- just price things upfront and honestly. And the placement of signage is misleading. Not to mention absolutely no one around to help with shopping. They're all at the register moving at a snails pace manually entering everything in 2025. I have been here several times and have always found something to buy even when I don't need it. They have a big array of merchandise. The sales are pretty good but the items I buy usually are not on sale which is my own fault. I have gone there and have had know-it-all employees and then I have had wonderful customer service employees. One thing, I was disappointed to hear is there is no veteran discount. Debra at the fabric counter was very rude! She was very condescending and would not let me take the fabric off the rack. She also judged me for the type of project I was going to do. The scissors were also 40% off and when I grabbed them she said "those aren't on sale" in a very rude way, and I said yes they are and she got all defensive before she realized she was in the wrong. I stopped in here for some hard to find flexible fabric sealer. The staff was great showing me all of the options for my project and giving me advice. They were very helpful and friendly. And I guess I didn't realize how much home decor Hobby Lobby had, I found so many great items in this very neat and clean store. I used to endure the long checkout times because they have cool items you can't find anywhere else. However, I find it's no longer worth the 30 plus minute checkout times at 11:00 on a Monday morning. Due to the nature of the merchandise, transactions can take a long time with wrapping items and small items that have to be scanned and OFTEN looked up. A single transaction can easily take 4-8 minutes. It doesn't help there is only ONE checkout open, the staff moves at half speed, the line is 5-6 deep with 5 employees just walking the store. When I mention it; I get a snide "were doing the best we can". If only. This store can use a class on customer relations. read more

I love Hobby Lobby because of their Christian values and incredible selection. However, they constantly display items with a huge discount that are actually not discounted . Normally i would give them 5 stars. But because of the constant misrepresentation at my local store of sale items, the best they get is 3 stars. Please note in the attached photo that flag cases were " not," 50% off but were full price. The nice but persistent woman at the checkout wanted to persistently explain to me why I was wrong. I tend to be someone who will go out of my way to compliment excellent customer service but felt the need to comment when treated rudely by an employee. First of all, I love Hobby Lobby!! I have literally spent thousands of dollars at various Hobby Lobby stores in IL and AZ, while decorating homes in both locations. I appreciate their Christian values & applaud their commitment to giving their employees the day off on Sundays for spiritual & family time. I will say that I have not always been impressed with some of their employees who seem to lack the customer service spirit which would honor Christian values. I had to return some items the other day & it seemed to be a huge bother to this cashier. I'm not sure if it was the return itself or the fact that I had made the purchase at a different Hobby Lobby location & was returning to this store butfor me, it was more convenient than returning to the other. I also realized part way through the process that I had forgotten a couple other items in the car & asked if I could run out to get them. She rudely told me she was almost finished & I would need to go through the line again. Luckily, there wasn't a line when I returned from getting the items from the car because I had waited in line almost 20 min the first time!! read more

Howard did a fabulous job helping me at the checkout. His boss Culleen (I think) she was equally as fabulous. And the store manager Ted went above and beyond to help me out with an order. I love how helpful everyone was who worked there. And wow the selection has really improved. They have some really great books in the front by the checkout. Would rate 0 stars if I could. Had an awful experience making a return as I did not receive an invoice in the shipment box, and they made a huge fuss about having to scan a barcode from an emailed invoice, that they "weren't normally supposed to do that, but since it scanned..." The lady would only give me store credit, and when asked why a refund wasn't possible, she said they "don't have internet access and don't have access to people's credit cards." The employee in question was unfriendly and had an attitude with me the entire time. If it were up to me, I would NEVER shop there again, but since I now have store credit to spend, I guess I have to. read more

I understand people make mistakes, but seriously this is the third time in 2 months that I've checked my receipt and found I've been way overcharged and sale items weren't entered as sale items. That is 3/3 times. Three strikes you are out! They need to switch to a barcode system instead of manually typing things in! I'm absolutely furious having to make another trip to fix the cashiers errors. Take the time to do things right!!!! I'm a very busy person!! I'm not going to shop here anymore because it's not trustworthy. 2/3 times I had Faith as the cashier. Most recent visit with her as the cashier was Wednesday 7/28/21. How do I say this nicely...She has zero customer service skills. I tried making small talk and she doesn't respond. I had to ask my questions 3 or 4 times before she acknowledged me and gave one or two word responses. I know she's not deaf, she was chatting with coworkers and then I came up to check out and none of them (three total) greet me at all, I place my items on the counter and asked how are you today? She ignored me, I say "wow must've been a long day, I bet you're tired!" Again no response. So uncomfortable and awkward to stand there checking out with a person who ignores you point blank...girl needs serious customer service training. read more

Was thrilled when this location opened right off the 101. The front lobby is inviting with their usual charming display of furniture. The store is spacious and clean with EVERYTHING to inspire hobby & home. Their weekly sales always work with my budget, and if not, their 40% coupon is always appreciated. Not to forget, their seasonal clearances and clearance wall make bargain hunting too fun. This is also the one arts and crafts store my husband will actually come into and enjoy.
