The staff could use a bit of people skills, but the selection is great. This is a great place to get inspiration for upcoming projects

Oil change was so quick, and they said : oh its great, no recall. BS not even 72 ish hours later I get these flashing codes in dashboard. About being so many miles until my truck went into limp mode. This dealership was the closest to our BnB (new to area) and took it in. The lady at desk was the new service director (Taylor) and I explained the previous place and my utter disgust with them. Not only did this service center take it seriously, she was honest and said they would need 24 hours to inspect it. 24 hours later, they text me with news it was the recall. It took one week for them to get part, get it installed AND Rebecca went to bat for me and made sure RAM covered an additional faulty part, that had failed due to the recall part. I was ready to give up hope on dealerships here, and this place shocked me. I will gladly drive here to see both the awesome women who keep it real and honest. Even if I buy a home in another parish. Aggravating when service departments try and scam you. Rainbow actually sent me what looked like a bill for 240$ + last week...in the Itty bitty tiniest print at bottom it explained it was an offer for their extended maintenance package. Jack-holes!!! My mum or any other older person I know would have genuinely thought it was a bill and paid I am genuinely considering filing a complaint with BBB or whatever Louisiana allows for that shady/deceptive letter. Hands down I will recommend BOTH these women to anyone looking for service!!

Especially in the awful rain. BUT. The hassle i had to go through to JUST get a alternator installed. NO plugging in the computer to my car. NO scanning the codes. JUST PUT A ALTERNATOR on my car was confusing to them. I was told. Well if this dont fix your charging issue then we will have to hook your car to the scanner. Also tried to tell me it could be my fuse box. JUST INSTALL A NEW ALTERNATOR. I flat tow my 2018 malibu. 443,000 miles now. I have a volt meter and a switch under my seat that bypasses my main battery and runs off my 2ed battery i use when flat towing as the brake booster needs its own battery bc the car shuts off its power inside. SO I KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT. when i say just change the alternator and it will fix my issue. 1 hour later. my car was up and charging. Amazing service and speed. Just shut up and listen to the customer. The customer knows your scams. YOU (CHEVY) dont know the customer and there background, Or the cars background.

UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS 1 STAR REVIEW BELOW: I sent an email…read moreto the General Manager, Rod Morris, who had Ronnie reach out to Zac within hours. They had they car towed at their expense from our home in Mandeville to the dealership in Hammond. Their mechanic agreed with Autoville: the car was toast. Ross Downing agreed to purchase it back for 75% of what Zac paid. While it would've been nice to receive the full amount, legally, Ross Downing wasn't required to offer anything. We do appreciate them doing the right thing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ORIGINAL REVIEW: 56 Days. That's how long the car my son bought from Ross Downing Chevrolet lasted. That's 26 days past their 30 guarantee. Ross Downing could have chosen to be a hero and offered some type of assistance. However, despite several calls and numerous conversations with the FB chat bots, the only person we heard from was his opportunistic salesperson. His laughable "solution" was for us to trade the now-inoperable car in for another vehicle which my son would have to finance. My son is early 20s, works 2 jobs and saved to pay cash for this vehicle. He probably doesn't have credit score to qualify for a loan, nor does he want to incur debt. (And frankly, he's distrustful of you now.) I realize Ross Downing is under no legal obligation to help my son. However, there's "right" and then there's "doing the right thing." The latter creates loyalty, repeat customers, and good word of mouth. This experience is the opposite of that. [Note: neither my son, nor my husband, recall being offered an extended warranty, but if you can show paperwork that he initialed/signed declining coverage, I'll concede that point.]

Service Advisor Robert Mena helped me. Robert displayed exceptional expertise and clarity in explaining the required repairs and provided estimates for my vehicle. I am sincerely grateful for his dedication and meticulous attention to detail. My friend and I were out looking for a new car for myself and my husband and we stopped in at Ross Downing. As a female, the first thing I'm looking for is how a salesperson approaches and responds to my questions. Landon was spot on. Professional, polite, not pushy but willing to take the time to answer all our questions, and we had plenty. He was never condescending or fake. He looks you in the eye and gives you the best of his ability, if he was u certain he got up and got the answer for us. The final aspect of what determines if I'm going to do business with someone is their handshake, Landon rocks his. I highly recommend you give him a call. Ross Downing has a great selection of vehicles, great staff, and a top notch up and coming salesman in Landon!

But the most frustrating part was finding the needed gift items, then the cashier got distracted and put one of the items aside, and didn't ring it up. Now I have an incomplete towel set that I have to drive all the way back to Covington this week in hopes that its match is still there (or return the one I did get). After an hour of searching, I got home only to find out the entire trip was wasted. Ugh.

I asked what is going on because she left the register and was fighting to peel it off while the manager was looking at her, She said it was the wrong price tag that their customer/s intentionally put there to switch prices. It took her a couple of minutes to do it, I can't imagine how good their customers are that they can peel it from one tag to another (and none of their employees notice it ??) just to leave it for another customer to pick up. Store employees has no accountability. What if it's one of their employees put it there by mistake or intentionally? They have a camera and they can always check it. According to her, some of their customers do that like it is a normal thing in their store. I've never had that kind of experience in any other stores and never heard of that before. They did not know how to handle the situation gracefully. Not even apologetic. It was rude. There was also an incident before that their employee in charge of the fitting room asked a customer to go back inside the fitting room to get the hanger/s for her. Ross' employees next door are more polite and respectful of their customers. They seem happier too.
