Christine, my provider, was amazing -- she explained everything she was doing throughout the exam, gave me a clear explanation of the findings, and made me feel completely comfortable. X‑ray tech was gentle and gave clear, easy directions so I wasn't in pain while getting images. Theresa completed my labs and administered my injection with skill and kindness. The team and facility at this Los Olivos -Irvine Spectrum location are phenomenal. On the most recent visit, I had injured my foot. I was able to get an early appointment the next morning. When I arrived, they had my insurance and chart info ready to go. This made check in very fast. The two providers were very caring and professional. They listened and provided great guidance. An x-ray was required and performed on-site. No extra driving around while in pain. I'm very grateful for the great care I received. And they even called to check on me a couple of days later. Our family absolutely loves Hoag Urgent Care. We are a family of five with three little kids, so we unfortunately end up needing urgent care more often than most families. Hoag has become our go-to every time, and every visit has been a great experience. The doctors and nurses are consistently excellent. They are kind, attentive, and truly go above and beyond to make sure patients feel cared for and comfortable--especially when it comes to treating young children. You can tell they genuinely care and take the time to listen, explain things clearly, and make what could be a stressful situation feel calm and manageable. My primary care doctor is also based there and she is wonderful, which makes the experience even better because we always feel like we are in very good hands. The ladies at the front desk also deserve a special mention. They are always warm, efficient, and welcoming, which makes such a difference when you arrive worried about a sick child. We have never, ever had a bad experience here. The care is consistently excellent, the staff is compassionate and professional, and everything runs smoothly every time. Not only was she super super attentive, qualified, caring, and knowledgeable, but this was the first time I had urgent care appointment where I didn't leave with a single question left unanswered. This review is for Cindy Lee, nurse practitioner. There is nothing worse than a rude, dismissive, and condescending clinician. Had she asked specifically "What was his highest temperature," I would have answered that front and foremost. Instead, she asked about his symptoms so as I was explaining, she cut me off. She then asked another question and when I tried to answer, she cut me off again saying, "Yes or No." When asking a question based on what our doctor told us when my husband had the flu a few weeks ago, she again was condescendingly answering and cutting me off. Her bed side manner is horrific and when I went quiet, she had the audacity to roll her eyes as she walked out of the room. Hoag typically staffs amazing clinicians, but Cindy Lee falls way below the bar that is to be expected when visiting these facilities. A clinician who lacks introspection of how they are being disrespectful and dismissive has no place being in this establishment. Also, typically in other locations, an after summary review is given to us. Nothing was handed over and as my son was throwing up, I was focused on him (didn't receive assistance from staff). When I called after we got home asking about our prescription and an after summary review to see what else I can do to help him, I was told that had I asked for it, I would have been handed a printed copy. read more

The definition of an employee that does not care, unhelpful and a poor communicator is the front receptionist. I will never go back there and will tell everyone I know. My kid came in with a broken foot, waited for over an hour, did not see a dr, and she said it would be at least another 45 minutes. Be upfront next time, I could have gone elsewhere, instead my kid is in pain longer. And I paid a copay and did not see a dr. And no call back and no call after I submitted this feedback in their portal. I have had experiences in the past , I will never use Hope urgent care ever again. read more

NEEDED care for severe, long-term, painful hand & finger lesions, & told it was "dermatitis" aka inflammation, & "NOTHING" is the cause despite no biopsy to determine such. Was told ANOTHER patient had come in with a similar complaint & also received NO TREATMENT. Common cop-out by this urgent care is "Only so much we can do." Los Aliso urgent care has excellent diagnostic. The care is excellent and the facility is one of the best urgent care I've been to.

We went on the website to search for an urgent care that's within our network. It gave us all of the Hoag urgent care locations nearby and provided a wait time for each location. You can reserve a spot online and you can fill out all of the registration information online to pretty much make it a contactless checkin. This location is conveniently located right off the freeway and there is plenty of parking reserved and nearby spaces. The facility itself is very clean and has plenty of space for patients to wait and for strollers. Dr. Travis Green helped us out and he was super respectful, radiated so much peace and comfort, he was knowledgeable, and personable. He reassured us that our reasons for concern were soon to be resolved with his suggestions for care. We couldn't be more pleased with this location, practitioners, and their customer service. read more

This is Hoag Urgent Care in the Los Olivos shopping center. I came here as soon as they opened in the morning to have my foot x-rayed, and everything was a breeze - I was in and out in less than an hour. Check-in was quick and easy since they already have my info from the Hoag portal. There was no one else in the waiting room when I arrived, so I was seen quickly. The nurse saw me first to take initial notes, then the PA saw me before I had x-rays done. The x-rays were done quickly, then I did not have to wait long for the x-ray report to come back, and they sent me off with a referral, asking for my preference on a Physical Therapist or Sports Medicine. I highly recommend coming here - it was great customer service and care all around. Everyone was very friendly early in the morning and took extra care since I was limping around, lol read more

Awful experience and lack of urgency from an "Urgent Care". I brought my Fiancé in first thing in the morning as she had sliced her hand open with a knife. They took her back and she wasn't treated for over 2 hours. Would not recommend coming here unless you have a full day to spare. Additionally, did not provide any instructions on how she should treat her stitches for the next 10 days. No patient summary handed to her or in her portal. I made an appoint online and was informed the first slot was 3 hours later. I arrived for my appointment and was informed that multiple people walked in ahead of me and my wait would be over an hour, there was 1 person sitting in the waiting room. I was also told that I made a reservation that might pump me up and not an appointment, Hoag urgent care does not have appointments. Because of this strange logic and lack of transparency, instead of leaving work early to seek the necessary care. I thought I made a 7 PM appointment that means literally nothing and delayed my ability to seek care to another day. Horrible patient experience. read more

Even with an appointment, you'll be waiting longer than it takes for the doctor to address your problems. If you need a Covid test for surgery, beg to get to go to Rite Aid or elsewhere. 75 minutes already so far and I'm the first Covid Test appointment at the time they open. Rite Aid Drive Thru for my sister was timely and super fast. But Hoag does a monopoly of their system that you must get your prescription surgery Covid Test done at Hoag Urgent Care. After waiting 1 hour, and being the first appointment of the day, despite being IN the Hoag system, they THEN gave me registration forms to fill out. Rite Aid was fast. Go there or one of the free places if you possibly can. Good luck. They're all perfectly nice. Just surprisingly slow. read more
