I really appreciated that she took a natural and thoughtful approach, encouraging me to focus on getting enough sleep, eating well, staying hydrated, relaxing, and taking care of myself instead of immediately relying on medication when it wasn't absolutely necessary. Because my previous primary care physician retired, I transferred my care to Dr. Jiangnan Wang (Professor Wang) as my new primary care doctor. Today was my first visit with Dr. Wang. Dr. Wang and his office staff made me feel very welcome, comfortable, and relaxed from the moment I arrived. What pleased me most is that Dr. Wang is also a cardiologist, which is a tremendous bonus for me. He took the time to thoroughly review my medications and provided highly professional, patient, and detailed guidance regarding my heart condition, including treatment, recovery, diet, and exercise. He also carefully addressed several other health concerns I brought up, explaining preventive measures and treatment options in a clear and thoughtful manner. I am extremely satisfied with my experience. I can only say that I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Wang. I came to this urgent care with an urgent medical issue and was told to wait an hour until another employee arrived to verify my insurance. I was clearly seeking urgent medical attention, not a routine appointment. When I explained that I could not simply wait for another employee to come in, I was offered the option to pay cash for the visit, despite having active Medi-Cal coverage. I found this extremely disappointing. Patients seeking urgent care should not be placed in a situation where they are asked to delay treatment or pay out of pocket while insurance verification is postponed. I will also be submitting a complaint regarding this experience to Medi-Cal for review. read more

I had a visit here today because my normal urgent care no longer accepts optum and this was my only option close to home. Patients were on their phones in the small lobby on speaker phone listening to videos and messages which was very disrupting. A nurse came into the lobby and consulted her patients right in front of us and they were very loud. When we finally got a room, a nurse was treating patients in the room next to ours with the door wide open and they were very loud. What set me off was the nurse did not speak good English and almost seemed like she wasn't qualified to even evaluate me. She kept asking the same questions over and over again to the point where I was in tears because I was so frustrated. At that point I gave up and said that I was done and finally left. This location definitely caters to those who do not speak English. If English is your first and only language....go elsewhere. One star because I had to. read more

I came in to do physicals for my kids for school. The staff in the front desk were amazing, super nice. It was the doctor that seemed to be in a bad mood. If she doesn't like working with kids she could've said that before we checked in. From the beginning she seemed very hostile, even grabbed my child's arm. Not worth the stess and frustration and anyone who values their time. They care more about walk-ins, and you will probably never get an on time appointment. This was a while back, I have changed my primary care and will no longer go here, but wanted to post my experience. I scheduled a telehealth appointment for lab results, 10 minutes before my appointment they call to tell me that results aren't ready, wish I got an earlier notice, but that's ok not their fault, good thing this was a telehealth appointment. Next appointment comes, everything was extremely delayed. Called them like 5 times asking when I will get my appointment. After over an hour I call back only to hear from them that they are delayed. No explanations, no wait times and just told to keep my line open. I reschedule because I have work. Next appointment comes. They call me 15 minutes before to check in. After 20 minutes past my appointment time I call them back asking when my appointment will be and they said it'll be another 30 minutes. Appointment was at 5:15 pm was seen at 6:15. All this for a 5 minute call with a copay, that I could've seen the results online except they don't have that. Was even told I shouldn't have scheduled an appointment and should've done a walk in in the future for faster results. Unbelievable. read more

Steer clear of this place. They didn't give me my test results for 2 weeks and I had to call the lab myself and see what was going on. The lab said they don't have their account setup with them and that is why they can't give them any results. Wtf? You're an urgent care that sends all these tests to a lab and you don't even have your account properly set up with them! I am honestly so frustrated and annoyed. Thankfully I called my OBGYN and got another test performed that showed nothing abnormal. Would not recommend this place to anyone read more

This review is about the staff at the Irvine office, not Dr. Wang, who I appreciate his level of care and attention (often taking longer with patients than others, which results in longer wait times). On many occasions, the front office has submitted referrals outside my area, or to locations that are no longer in operation. With the most recent referral for physical therapy, authorization was obtained for a location that is permanently closed. I called the Irvine office to explain that I needed a referral to another provider in the area, due to the permanent closure of that location, and they chose to refer me to the exact same location a second time. It's as if the staff in the front office aren't even caring to think about what they are doing, and it's frustrating having to wait for a new authorization, only to see evidence of the incompetence involved. I truly wish the staff could spend a little more time being attentive to the needs of the patients, as the doctors do. read more

Their medical practice scams patients to see them every 3 months and denies life saving medication to patients to force them to have an appointment. Not all medications require monitoring. They literally talk to you for 5 minutes asking what refills you need, rarely asking for other healthcare issues. I don't ever see my primary care physician except once when I first came, but get tossed around to different doctors. I have had 3 other doctors or PAs that have seen me or did the telemedicine calls. read more
