She responds so quickly and handles things immediately. It's been such a huge weight lifted off our shoulders to have the company handle our billing and correspondence with homeowners. I was ready to quit my role as President because it had gotten way too overwhelming for me, and I just did not have the time or energy to deal with the day to day duties. Thankfully, we found HOA Management Professionals, and Jasmin! They have seriously been so wonderful. Something feels off here. After a long stretch with little to no review activity, there's suddenly a cluster of glowing 5-star reviews posted within a very short window (within the last couple of days actually ~april 2026~) all with a similar tone and focus. The timing and pattern are hard to ignore.... even a new one this morning... As someone actually dealing with this company, my experience hasn't reflected that level of enthusiasm. Just something for others to keep in mind when reading through these reviews. If responsiveness and honest communication are important to you, that has not been my experience with this management company. Homeowners aren't asking for anything unreasonable. Called with a billing issue and the service provided was a solid "F" grade. They charged a $10 late fee for a $95 management fee even though my account was setup to use their "convenient" autopay feature. Spoke with two different agents who were not friendly or helpful. First agent immediately put me on hold for several minutes then refused to refund the late fee when she came back online. Asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold for nine more minutes before someone else came online and told me a supervisor was unavailable. Asked to be directed to Supervisor's voicemail and was put on hold again until another agent answered and told me they would issue a refund and then abruptly hung up. They seemed bothered by the fact they had to answer the call, my questions, and fix the problem. If you have a choice, don't use this firm to manage your property or association. read more

Update: read Bob's "professional" response. I have NEVER EVER had issues with any other bill payees except them. Also, 2 of my neighbors experienced the same issue so I am not the only one with this complaint. He charges me $10 late fees almost monthly and still refuses to waive them even when I have proof that bill pay was sent nearly 3 weeks before the due date... Bob is the rudest and least professional contact at this office. I've had a wasp nest outside several times and treated it out of pocket. Now i'm dealing with termites from OUTSIDE and i'm trying to have it taken care of by reaching out to this office but he responds in the nastiest way. Basically we pay 400 a month to have the leaves blown from one corner to another. No amenities and nothing ever gets coveted nor do you get a descent response. read more

Agree with the negative reviews here. Though they are decent at doing the essential work required to manage a building and HOA (hence two stars instead of one), I would say they the staff I have worked directly with do the bare minimum. I have worked with Jolene in particular and it seems she is only available part-time, and cannot manage her caseload. She has a hard time following instructions, trying to deflect work requested of her to Board members whenever possible, even if simple administrative requests. She will come up with any excuse not to do it, I won't go into detail, or ignoring the requests altogether. They also make regular accounting mistakes. Though these have for the most part, been swiftly resolved, it is disconcerting to find accounting mistakes in the Financial statements and monthly HOA statements on many occasions. Again, this may be partially because of a high caseloads, but overall I am dissatisfied with the oversight and services here, and I know other Board members are also aware of the poor service. Finally, I have had one interaction with company management Bob and Phil, and that was great overall. They were very responsive, but I only reached out to them out of years of frustration because their staff services are below par, in my opinion. I have only elevated one or two requests after years of lackluster support from their staff though if I had the time and energy, this would happen far more often. read more

We've worked with HOA Management for more than 20 years and have no complaints. What I see in the complaint reviews of this company are unhappy or disgruntled unit owners who are unpleasable. In some cases they're people who are simply unhappy with where they live, or unhappy in their own lives, and they take it out on the management company. Bob Berthold is, without a doubt, one of the kindest professionals in the business. If you compared the number of HOAs and units the company manages to the number of adverse complaints on Yelp, then you'd be able to understand that pleasing everyone is impossible. Christie Speed is the person you'd want as a property Rep. Phil is an outstanding Rep with an impressive history with troubled HOAs. He has brought HOAs back from the dead and helped them grow and thrive. The same is true with Bob Berthold. This is a reasonably priced company with a long history of credibility and experience in a very tough business environment. Along with complaints, they have many success stories that Yelpers tend to not talk about because it's easier to complain. In my own business, I deal with the same kind of malcontents who are nothing more than sad little people in their own lives. But they feel better about themselves by attacking others. And feeling better about themselves is all that matters, right? This company deserves a positive review, and this is it. read more

HOA Management Pro and Phil Loucks in particular have been managing our account since 2014. My experience with Phil and his team has only been positive. We are relatively small compared to some of the bigger complexes, but HOA Management Pro has -never- treated us as any different even though I'm sure the other accounts bring in higher fees for them. They are very professional, responsive, approachable, available, and respectful. They always call back with answers to our questions/inquiries in a timely matter... many times going above and beyond (what we pay for). I would refer their service to any association. read more

They will violate your fair housing rights and show complete favoritism to residents they know. When you respond to them as a knowledgeable fellow property management worker they ghost your emails. I will be filing a complaint as they sent notices harassing me but refuse to address my complaints as well (that's where the favoritism comes in to play). I recently reach out to them about an issue I had with my handyman throwing a small amount of drywalls in the trash bin. I quickly called handy man to not trash in bin anymore. Got a nasty assh0le/racist neighbor that took it to the board as I confirm to him that I will clean it up. After work at 7pm, I climb in the trash bin to take the drywall out. Few days later I got an fined notices for the trash I took out. I reach to hoa to just give me a warning and waived the fine. They refused, and want to steal the money. Don't use this HOA Management. Note: The one star here means ZERO star. This company calls them "HOA Management Professionals" but is totally UNPROFESSIONAL and worst company ever. Any HOA should run away fast if they wanted property management; otherwise, they would get property mismanagement. See below egregious failures -- 1. The staff refused to give keep owner informed about their contractors' work in my unit. Poor customer service and no follow through. 2. The staff refused to provide answers to owner regarding questions for their contractors. 3. The staff failed to provide access to building to their own contractors and then blamed owner. 4. The staff made unprofessional and nasty accusation about everyone without evidence or research. 5. The staff provided 2 contradictory statements on a simple financial question. Then they refused to investigate or respond to owner. I doubt they have ANY ability to handle finances correctly. 6. President Bob stated how many numbers of years in business as if that is enough reason my complaints about his staff did not matter and that I was not to write him back and point out he was WRONG! 7. President Bob was unfit to speak as apparently he did not investigate his staff failures and blindly defended them contrary to facts. 8. President Bob stated I need to pay about $ 100 an hour for his staff to do the work they neglected for weeks. This is utterly ridiculous! HOA already paid them!!! REWARD for bad behavior?! I have had a lot of problems with living comfortably in my unit, and the representative repeatedly brushes me off. I have been living with rats in my wall for a year! PLEASE DON'T move into a condo if this will be your HOA manager! Unless you want a lot of headache. If you're looking for an HOA management company, keep looking. I'm on the board of a 23-unit complex in West Los Angeles. We were in the market for a new management company and unfortunately selected HOA. As soon as our one year contract was up, we moved on. I am very surprised they are still in business. Below are some of our ongoing issues with them. Terrible communication - Rarely return messages and hardly ever return emails. In fact, after being called out, they said they don't always get their emails and if we don't hear from them in 48 hours, we should email again. - Always place blame on others; never take responsibility for their own ill-actions. No accountability. They put our HOA in a terrible position - Accounting was not kept up (three months of missing details when we transitioned to a new company) - Bills were frequently not paid, which cost us late fees and ruined vendor relationships Not set up for 21st century business - Accounting software is antiquated. Reports looked to be scans from a dot matrix printer. - Manager was unable to open PDF files on her computer - They don't rely on email - No web services Again, overall just terrible service, follow through, and support. read more
