I'm the President of the Board of what was a very poorly run condominium community. We contacted Allstate HOA Management earlier this year to take over the management of the property. David Bar was assigned to manage the property and we could not be more pleased with his work ethic and his professionalism. He is guiding us through a very rough period of transition from the previous management company. He has a wealth of information that he shares with us to help us understand what our responsibilities are, what Veteran Plaza HOA role is, and what lies ahead in what could possibly be 2 or 3 year process of turning this property into a nice place to live and, at the same time, increase the value of the units for all the owners. Recently he helped us get the best bids we could to handle a couple of emergency repairs and then he communicated the need for this assessment to the owners of the units here. Just today, he was able to get a locksmith out here to take care of a lock issue with the pool. Allstate HOA Management has been the best of the four management companies our association has used over the past 15 years, though there have definitely been some growing pains along the way. We have been with them for about four years now, and having Kelsey back on our account has made a noticeable positive difference. I believe our association was one of the first buildings to sign on with Allstate, and the company has grown significantly since then. Along the way, a few account representatives were not the right fit for our building's particular needs, which are somewhat unique, but with Kelsey's return, there is optimism about making real progress. The online portal is user‑friendly from both a resident and board-member perspective, and email communication has become much more efficient. At the end of the day, though, any association still needs to actively advocate for itself with any vendor or management company. Our HOA moved over to Allstate in early November after many frustrating years with a different property management company. The transition period was facilitated by Tyler Matheis and Allstate's amazing Transition team who did all the heavy lifting, getting us up and running very quickly. Our property manager, Gregg Sauber, is very responsive to all requests and we have accomplished more in 3 months with Allstate than we had in years with the previous company. We have a great deal of deferred repairs catchup to take care of and Gregg is up to the task, always ready to provide competitive bids from his preferred vendors and to handle all our plumbing emergencies.
