This is a must visit massage spa if you are in the Pasadena area. My wife and I purchased the "foot massage" but when we finished we were so amazed and surprised that we received a total body massage. The therapist I had was incredible; she found the knots in my upper trap, left calf, and lower back and provided a great deal of attention to those much needed areas. My rating is based on how they schedule appointments. Numerous times I have scheduled an appointment at a certain time with a therapist and when I arrive, the lady behind the desk informs me that it will be another half an hour. One time, I had to wait an hour. So, even if you have an appointment, don't count on it being on time. To me, this is terrible customer service. Nancy was my go to girl and she is AMAZING! She gets five stars. I'm sad to say I won't see her any more, because I just can't take being taken advantage any more with the scheduling. read more

It was my first time coming to this spa and I spoke on the phone with Amy ( very nice lady )and she told me she can take me in right now. I head over there and the first thing I notice was the atmosphere. Amy made me feel so welcomed while calming music was playing in the background and the lady Jessica took me right in. I asked Jessica for a medium tissue massage and she did. Let me tell you though JESSICA HAS MAGIC HANDS she gave me a full body massage and really made me feel so relaxed I almost fell asleep. My friend and I did a 60 minute couples massage. For $50 with a complimentary hot stone treatment, this place is certainly a deal. The massage was nice, but the hot stone is definitely what set it a part for us. Our only complaint was we were rushed out post-massage and it was a little awkward. It couldn't have been more than 30 seconds after the massage ended when we got the first knock on the door asking if they could enter. We were completely undressed and still wiping oil off, but decided to rush because they clearly wanted back in. They kept knocking every thirty seconds or so and it kinda killed the relaxing mood. They actually came in while we were still putting our shoes on to change the sheets and it was just a bit uncomfortable. I hope in the future they'll schedule appointments 15 minutes apart. read more

My husband and I found HM Warm Spa on a Google search because the place we had gone to previously had declined in quality so we stopped going. By luck we were able to do a walk-in last minute hour long couples massage and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic! My therapist Jeny was amazing, she knew exactly how to get all my knots out with just the perfect amount of pressure. She also spent a lot of time on my neck and face which a lot of places tend to forget. The quality of service for the price is amazing here. The vibe and ambiance was also stellar. Amy, the owner was also super friendly and amazing and we told her we would definitely be back and share their business with friends. Just had an AMAZING experience at HM Warm Spa. First of all, I didn't make an appointment because I saw "walk ins" were allowed. So me and my girlfriend just stepped in and they took us in right away. Talk about fast service! Now let's talk about our massages. 10/10. The ladies that did our massages Tina & Cici were AMAZING! They did our backs very well and were very powerful. We got the fully body, and not once did we feel like they weren't putting in their best efforts. The hot stones also felt good, not too hot, but enough to feel it and feel relaxed. I would honestly recommend this place to anyone. Worth every penny!! Booked 2- 90 minute massages for my husband and I and we regret it. When we arrived they told us to undress and get under this scratchy small orange towel. Nope. They brought us sheets instead. My therapist was very inappropriate and pulled my underwear down. Nobody has ever crossed this boundary, but she did. I didn't stop her the first time and regret it but I did the second time and yanked them back up. If she spoke English I would have had some choice words for her. I swear she spent half of the 90 minutes on my butt and was massaging so hard that I stopped her multiple times and a few minutes later she would still do the same thing. I yelled "ouch" 4 times overall because that's the only English word she understood. She spent absolutely no time on my shoulders and that is the whole reason I needed a massage today. I couldn't communicate with her so it was a waste. Then when they turn you over she put the scratchy orange towel over my face and I just wanted to get out of there. First massage where I literally counted down the minutes to escape. My husband was also disappointed and just said he was covered in oil and not relaxed. Our massage therapists were Lisa and Angela, they were both professional and friendly, would definitely recommend them if you have the option of choosing. I've had multiple shiatsu massages in the past but none have been this good. The massage was for an hour (it felt way longer cause they were putting in work). We were so happy with the massages we tipped 20$ each person. While we are just visiting from Orange County, my girlfriend and I both agreed we will eventually come back. I was hoping that I would like this place. Sorry, one star from me. I came here with a couple of friends because my favorite massage spot in Pasadena was all booked up and this place was able to accommodate the 3 of us that night. Pulled up and luckily found parking on the street right across from the place (keep in mind, parking can be tough around area). They quickly got us in this little dark tent-like room in the lobby (yes, in the lobby). It literally felt like a big tent with massage beds placed closely next to each other. I thought "okay, that's cool I guess" didn't bother me too much... until later. First off, it was really hard to relax because you could literally hear everything going on in the lobby. There is literally just a sheer curtain covering the entrance of the "tent-like" room. There wasn't really any "zen" music playing either to distract from all the noise coming from the lobby and outside. On top of that, the lady giving me a massage was chewing gum. So annoying, because I could just hear her chewing away as I lie there trying to relax. My massage...sucked. I'm only speaking for my masseuse (my friend said hers was good). It just felt like the laziest massage ever. If she was tired of rubbing people all day, I definitely felt that through my massage. Throughout the beginning of my massage, they have you lie down while you have your feet in a bucket of hot water to soak. This position was hurting my back so much! Ugh, I wish i could have just ended the massage right there so I didn't have to pay the 30$ for this sad experience. To top it all off, when we paid the receptionist or whoever the lady was at the front, she didn't give our change back because she assumed we were going to give all of the change to tip our massage lady's. I'm not a cheap person. I always tip, but i believe the amount of tip really depends on the service that I receive and I definitely wasn't going to give a 30% tip for the terrible experience that I got that day. I thought it was pretty rude that we were not given our change back so that it could be decided by us how much we wanted to tip. We've walked by HM Warm spa a few times and finally had the chance to go in for a couples massage today. Both of us suffering from some muscle strain and severe stiffness and we left feeling like rag dolls and that is the highest praise. The hot stones were the icing on the cake. Our masseuses checked in regularly on the intensity they were using on our muscles and adjusted accordingly. The place is clean and the atmosphere professional but friendly. Can't wait to go back again. Amy goes out of her way to make sure everyone is happy and accommodating walk ins and appointments with speed! Be sure to arrive 10 minutes early to find parking. I wanted to keep this place at a 4-star rating however, my visit today caused me lower down the rating to 3 stars. The massage I received was pretty good. Before i got into the room, I had asked to get a light pressure massage however, this was not exactly what I had received. It started out light but it got really hard throughout. This didn't bug me that much as the masseuse still did a decent job. What made this experience extremely negative was the fact that I kept hearing someone throw up in their restroom. At first, it didnt sound like someone was throwing up but the person kept going. The person went back a second time to throw up again. I dont know if it was one of the workers there or a guest but it didnt seem like any one was helping that person out. The place has extremely thin walls so i was able to hear the whole thing. I've been here times before and as usual it's a hit or miss, you never know if you'll get someone who knows how to massage or someone who is okay but at least on my previous foot massages I leave feeling a tad better than when I walked in. My latest visit for a big ticket item (FULL BODY $100 MASSAGE) was a GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT, I can't believe how I didn't get a massage, I just got lotion and a scrub smeared all over my body. I went in for my birthday to treat myself to a relaxing and good massage but I feel so let down and honestly mad. Wow, it really was Bad. I got the $100 massage and all the girl did the entire time was go up and down my body like when you put lotion on with hardly any pressure, that IS NOT A MASSAGE. There was no kneading, relieving pressure points, etc. She didn't even touch the front of my legs, arms, massaged my feet, or head, .. it was weird. When she told she she was done I was very surprised because I went in for FULL BODY Massage and well it was like she didn't finish. The manager tried to make things better but there's no way the service I got was worth nearly $80. I feel so cheated and like I trashed my money which is bothering me a lot since this was a gift to myself. My suggestion to others is to spend your $100 elsewhere where masseuses know what they're doing. You don't want to walk out feeling really bad like me. I don't plan to go back unless the manager does what's fair and gives me credit for a future service which I very much deserve after this really bad experience.
