Bad service what so ever. Reynaldo made an offer that was good for us and was very helpful at first but then after he got what he wanted and disappeared. Very bad when it comes to answering phone calls and calling back. It's almost going to be a year we switch from Guardian our last home alarm system to them and we still haven't received any window decals or signs. We've done multiple calls and nothing. Sucks for ADT that we can not promote their service and we're still promoting the other one. For now on we'll be calling ADT directly for issues as minimal like getting some signs. VERY DISAPPOINTED! When we first met, Mako (the Alarm Rep) from this company, he was friendly and answered all of our questions and concerns. When we were concerned with having a contract with another company, Mr. Mako assured us that we would be compensated; $150 will be refunded to us. So when the day came that he stopped answering our calls and my husband's text, we were surprised! I have left several messages and have not heard from him. I initially called and received a quote since my parents needed an alarm for their home. Not only was he helpful towards me but with my parents who needed to be walked through the whole process as well. First of all, all of there ads on tv and the radio are bogus. There $99 special just gets there salesman in the door to your home or business. I recently contacted them and spoke with a sales rep. after I had a few more questions a day after I tried calling and asking for the same sales rep and never got the same guy. I asked about there details in the commercial and tried to get a quote over the phone and was just convinced to send a rep to my house which was fine. Once the rep came over 3 days later ( I was a victim of a burglary and urgency was my top priority) I was eager to just get it done. I then had a unmarked van come for the install and when I told the gentleman if he was with ADT .he said he was an authorized ADT alarm installler which confused me. I asked why ADT did not send an ADT van and an ADT official employee, he shrugged his shoulders and said "it's complicated but don't worry it's how they operate". I later found out after doing some extensive research that ADT hires these independent contractors (not ADT employees) to do a lot of there resedential installs and they sell the contracts to ADT. I just felt uneasy dealing with a company that is soo large and unprofessional to secure my home and business. These independent contractors are probably not even background checked. If you value your security and don't want to be just a number call a local company that cares about your security and has 100% employees under there name with thorough background checks and dont sell your contracts to corporate companies. ADT also list there systems as $1 a day e.g. $30 or $40 a month but in there contract is states that they are allowed to raise there rates later in the contract and from my research they do. Beware of ADT support your locally based businesses. read more

Well, I just got off the phone with Kieser Consulting. I was given their number as the people who scheduled my Saturday appointment between noon and 5:00pm -- for which NO ONE SHOWED UP! I was told they could not understand how I got an email from ADT with a Saturday appointment -- they had no paperwork or work order or anything. So once again I am without a working system. In fact on Saturday when the alarm went off ADT did not call until AFTER the police showed up at my front door! This is the poorest excuse for a home security system and monitoring company! NEW CUSTOMERS BEWARE! Its been about a month and a half since I've had the security alarm system. I've had 4 false alarms on the system, the reason being the sensor keep falling down. The first couple of times it was the door sensors, they came down and fixed it. The last couple of times it has been the window sensor falling down. I called about 5 days ago and haven't heard back from anyone yet. This is very frustrating and annoying. I would think a big name like ADT would offer professional installation to their customers. I would not recommend to family and friends!!!!!!! Also the price agreed on the estimate with LOUIS was not honored. When I received my first billing statement it was $5 more than the price that was clearly stated to me. I called RAY and informed him his response was" ill take care of it after I deal with the false alarm issues you have".(yes Ray its not important to you since you are not making the monthly payments). But nothing has been done regarding the monthly over payment!!!!! It has been about 3 weeks ago since I spoke to him. read more

We are extremely unhappy with the ADT representative that came to our house in the 4100 block of Palo Verde Avenue in Lakewood, CA, yesterday. My 84 year old Father told the representative, "No thank you", but the guy kept on talking. After the third time of saying we do not want anything, my Father told him to leave the property and as my Father was closing the door, the representative still would not leave but said, "I will be back later". My Father opened the door back up and yelled to this rep, "Do not come back on my property or I will call the police". I then called ADT to complain and had to deal with "NO" phone number, unless I am a customer or want to be a customer. When I was able to get a hold of one employee, she said that it was probably a "third party salesman" and that I would have to have his name and the dealership name that he is working for. I went down the street to get this information and found a second representative that was working the other side of the street. He apologized and said they would leave our neighborhood. He could not provide a name or dealership and neither rep was wearing identification from the City of Lakewood, showing that they have a permit to go door to door in our city. I think it is pretty sad ADT when you do not have better quality through your guidelines on who you allow to represent your company.
