I am uploading only photos of my home this time, per review guidelines. I self-contracted our home for the last 6 months and have knowledge on the subject as I was forced to have several roofers, contractors, and manufacturers inspect Alex's work. Our superintendent even got in touch with Alex's crew directly and they informed him that they knowingly used a bad batch of shingles because they were trying to dry in the home too quickly. It was also evident that the underlayment ice shield was not pulled tight as it should have been, which caused the ripple effect. I will not excuse the framers (as Alex points out) for their part, but the issue with shingles and ice shield were not because of framing. You can see in the images the issues caused by the framing and then you can clearly see rippling as well. The sheathing did not delaminate but did warp, and a good/responsible roofer would call that out instead of knowingly installing bad shingles on a roof you know will have issues. Perhaps Alex has been roofing longer under a different company... but his original license was issued in 2022. I prefer not to communicate this way but as Alex has not replied to a single text message or call, it seems this was the only option to get his attention.

However our insurance company had begun increasing our premium slightly due to its age, so 6 weeks ago we decided to go ahead and get a new roof. Even though there had been some interaction with Legend a year ago, we got 2 other bids just to compare products and services. In the end we still felt most comfortable with Legend. Five weeks ago Daniel's crew completed the job within 3 days -- performed as promised, within their bid amount, did a fantastic job, and even did a great job of cleaning up. He fixed the wind damage for a very reasonable price of $600 and then gave us a bid for a new roof. Last week I contacted him saying we were ready to have our new roof put on. They just finished it yesterday. They started tearing off Thursday afternoon and were finished by Friday afternoon. It was all cleaned up after they left. He also discounted the roof by the $600 we paid for the original wind damage repair. So I contacted him on April 5th and the roof was completely finished on April 15th. All of our neighbors have gotten their roofs done in the last year so we know how long it normally takes. One neighbor who just got his roof done by someone else, came over to ask about our contractor because they were so incredibly fast and efficient.
