This is something I didn't even think to do! Even without the insurance payout, their quote was about half the cost of the other company. Once it came time to do the work, I was in constant communication with the foreman. The guys tore off the old roof in a day and put up the new in a second day. The following morning the dumpster was gone. Again, by starting an insurance claim they put money in my pocket before they even knew if I would be a customer! I'm generally nervous about home renovations because I'm pretty dumb when it comes to this sort of thing. I believe the competitor tried to take advantage of my ignorance. King Roofing did right by me and I would recommend them to ANYBODY who needs their house retopped. Thanks!!!

I couldn't have been more surprised when they texted me back within a few minutes and sent someone over to the house that day. The roof technician was polite and went straight to work. No more leaks! I am uploading only photos of my home this time, per review guidelines. I self-contracted our home for the last 6 months and have knowledge on the subject as I was forced to have several roofers, contractors, and manufacturers inspect Alex's work. Our superintendent even got in touch with Alex's crew directly and they informed him that they knowingly used a bad batch of shingles because they were trying to dry in the home too quickly. It was also evident that the underlayment ice shield was not pulled tight as it should have been, which caused the ripple effect. I will not excuse the framers (as Alex points out) for their part, but the issue with shingles and ice shield were not because of framing. You can see in the images the issues caused by the framing and then you can clearly see rippling as well. The sheathing did not delaminate but did warp, and a good/responsible roofer would call that out instead of knowingly installing bad shingles on a roof you know will have issues. Perhaps Alex has been roofing longer under a different company... but his original license was issued in 2022. I prefer not to communicate this way but as Alex has not replied to a single text message or call, it seems this was the only option to get his attention.

BEWARE - Yikes, now I know why I couldn't find any reviews on these guys. Hired them to do my roof…read more(actually 1/4 of it was already finished by my son, but he had to go back to Idaho). So I agreed to a price and was VERY CLEAR the roofing had to match the exact brand and style and color, it had to be the exact one. THIS WAS IN WRITING, but remember that a contract is only as good as the people signing it. THESE GUYS DO NOT HONOR THEIR WORD AT ALL. They said the price included clean up. I foolishly trusted them when they told me they were done cleaning up the horrendous DISASTER in my attic where the insulation was saturated with millions of broken shingle pieces. They went up there and did some, but only one small portion of the mega mess which has ruined the insulation and caused a fire hazard. After they took my final payment and left, I went up in the attic myself (female and retired) to the first area of entry where they apparently cleaned and I spent two hours myself picking up the slivers and larger shake shingles that were literally EVERYWHERE, even under the insulation. Like spikes, the wood impaled a lot of the insulation and I had to replace most of it. Of course, I was dumb enough to give them their final payment before checking. In fact, I paid them $500 more than their bill which arrived the day after I paid them, by email. I then told them by text they needed to return to do the work properly (the clean up). They ignored me. I told them I was going to report them to Murray City, but they ignored me. Then and only then, did I think to check the ENTIRE ROOF, as there was a back sloped part that could not be seen unless you get on a ladder. OMG, they put some mismatch type of black rubber roofing when I was explicitly clear the entire roof had to match the Brownstone I already had on the roof in the area my son had done. Now I have to find another roofing company to come in and roof that section properly!!!!!! YET MORE MONEY!!!!!!!!!! I cannot get into all the spaces of my roof so I now have to hire someone to come clean the attic so that it's not a major fire hazard. I am going to my city tomorrow to report them. I am also going to leave this review on every roofing review board I can find online, including the Better Business Bureau and the Licensing Agency. These guys act nice and all, but the only thing they care about is getting your money into their pockets. In fact, I asked them for a bid to do seamless gutters. It was $1700 vs $1300 from the pros you can find anywhere online. I got several bids. They never offered to do my soffits, and I only accidently found out that is something people are doing now to avoid painting the outside wood trim, and never painting again at my age, seemed the way to go. I asked them for a bid for that. They said $6500 just for the soffit work, so add $1700 = $8300. I had a feeling that was high so I called the first two local companies I saw online, and both bids were around $4400 FOR EVERYTHING - seamless gutters AND soffits and no painting necessary because all wood would be covered up (This included an extra charge because these roofers had put two by fours on the trim all around the house, which is not done for seamless gutters or soffit work - it makes it more difficult, causing an additional reveal. So when I told them their bid was more than double, they were not happy. I even showed them one of the bids in person. I foolishly gave them $100 cash for the two by fours they used even though I was going to pay more for the gutter work now that they put on those 2X4s. They had lost the seamless gutter job and the soffit job because they were trying to rip off a senior citizen and got caught with their pants down. That I took their word that they had cleaned the attic, or even done the roof as agreed (and this was absolutely clear, in writing, no misunderstanding!) reminds me that NO ONE CAN BE TRUSTED THESE DAYS. I guess they bank on older people not climbing ladders to verify the roofing materials nor getting up into an attic! So they don't mind cheating on the materials where they can, and cheating on the clean up they promised where they can, as long as they GET YOUR MONEY. I should have never given them this job. It was dumb. I didn't see any reviews and he played like he was a nice Hispanic guy, all huggy and friendly. BEWARE! BELIEVE REVIEWS! If they are any good they should have at least a 4 star. What was I thinking? So frustrating!

Working with On Call Roofers was good up until the project needed to be completed. Mike's team…read moresprayed a sealant on my metal roof and failed to tape or tarp our windows/siding/deck/driveway. This was my experience: I asked Mike prior to the job being complete if he'd be cleaning this up. He assured me "they'd do a thorough cleanup". After the job was "done", no clean up happened and the sealant remained. I asked Mike to clean it up. He sent his crew and they only removed the sealant from the windows I specifically called out. He then immediately invoiced me, called me and texted me for final payment. In the email and phone, his wife told me they'd put a lien on my property if I didn't pay. It had been only 4 hrs since receiving the invoice and per our contact I had 30 days to pay plus 45 until they could begin the lien process. I let them know I wouldn't be paying until the job was cleaned up (per the contract). They continued to threaten a lien on my property and that my request was a "punch list" item. I had to give them 3 options: clean it up, I'd hire someone to clean it and take it off the invoice or we'd let a judge decide. They chose option 1 and it's much better but still have sealant everywhere. I added a few photos.

After "repair" roof leaks with every rain or snow and they won't fix it. I paid $6700 for a "band…read moreaid" that didn't last one day. Now we are heading to court. They won't warranty their work. Don't hire this man unless you have a great lawyer. They "fixed" the roof in 2 hours, making $500 an hour. Super crappy job. Painted the roof and the paint already peeling off and not sticking to the surface. Roof is now full of balloons made out of paint. TPO installation was also wild. To save material, no 4 inches overlap between layers, 0 inches. The TPO unglued a month after install. Under the TPO they made some deep burn marks which is how they actually damaged the surface under it and caused the leaking. After the original install they made 4 trips back all of these lasted 10 minutes repairs - completely ineffective. Roof is still leaking. It's hard to believe this is still a business - complete rip off.
