However, it wasn't until I couldn't stand it anymore and started sanding with a 140 grit sand paper did I realize what trouble I had gotten myself into. I had purchased a Meguiar's PlastX at a heavily discounted price at an Amazon liquidation store, and after using it - I found out that it did not do as advertised. I should've gotten the hint that it was not a good option seeing that sanding was not in the directions of the bottle. Alas, a choice to make, which was 1.) to either leave it be, or 2.) try and fix it with whatever motivation I have left and whatever is the cheapest available at O'Reilly's. After consulting the internet (youtube) showed me that there are a couple of options at O'reilly's that I could get, I boiled it down to Turtle Wax Headlight Lens Restoration Kit - T240KT. Priced at 12.99 - it was the perfect thing that could help me with the mess I had already made. This was a last resort, and I am happy to report that my headlight lens restoration project was a success! Although, please follow the directions - I had made some errors (1. using microfibre instead of cotton first and using the clear liquid instead of the white liquid first) and even though it came out nice, I think using the white bottle instead of the clear bottle first would've made it much better. I would say, however, this is more of a one time use product, unless you can get the wipes separately, since the wipes made a big difference in the quality of work.

I own a 2022 Kia EV6, and I'm dealing with a serious issue where the audio system has completely stopped working. It's not JUST the radio....my rear parking sensors and blind-spot sensors detect objects and vehicles, BUT the audible warning sounds and beeping no longer work. I guess what really bothered me here was the dealership's attitude when I brought the issue to them. I was quoted approximately $2,000 to $4,000 for the repair, and the reaction I received was incredibly casual. There were grins, chuckles, and an almost amused attitude about how expensive the repair was going to be. I found that extremely inappropriate, especially when you're talking about a customer potentially facing a $4,000 repair bill. I then did my own research and discovered that Kia has already issued official service documentation for 2022 EV6 vehicles addressing noise, no-sound, and intermittent no-sound issues involving the external amplifier. Kia Service Action SA520 provides a specific procedure for replacing the external amplifier. Kia Service Action SA520⁠. Knowing that, being quoted $2,000 to $4,000 and watching the staff grin and chuckle about the cost left a very bad impression on me. Needless to say, I will not be bringing my EV6 back to Jenkins Kia of Ocala for this repair. I expect better ... esp. involving the vehicle's sound and safety warning systems that apparently already has been heavily documented by Kia.
