My family and I were traveling from Michigan to Florida for a family vacation. We experienced a major breakdown with our vehicle in Ocala Florida were it was going to require significant repairs. All of this occurred over the labor day weekend. Google car repairs and Oscar's was chosen due to him being the only car repair to answer their phone. Let me say it was the correct call. Oscar was able to move our vehicle to his shop and was able to shuttle my family to Orlando for our vacation. We were able to enjoy our vacation and when we picked up the vehicle she ran perfectly. Never given itemized receipt of services even after I requested one. Car broke down again shortly after I paid for a repair here and was assured that the problem was fixed. After calling them again, I was asked to get my car back to their shop to have him look at it again. I'm not from Ocala so it didn't make sense to return there to fix it. Didn't feel comfortable going there for services again considering I paid $600 just to break down again later. Owner admitted afterwards on phone about forgetting to perform a separate service that was agreed upon and I'm still not sure if I was charged for it due to lack of receipt. oscar is only a pato loco pendejo. He is not the chupa cabra chicken and goat with one feather out sphincter. He is no a f-in cocoa roach. He is such a dumb@ss he couldn't clean an egr and flush dex 6 fluid in car he sold me for $3500. he even put grease in oil filter. with dex 6 fluid I was able to put 20k on car in manual mode to redline and my downshifts were lot laggy. i swear they were almost as good as 2019 camaro ss rev matching downshifts. he always has nice cars for sale that he cannot fix. I fix timing belt save 2750. He give me $200 for it he say. But just my power dimming mirror costs $299. No thanks sell ,e $5k car for 3500. With new perelli tires worth thousand, still new cond bro after 20k miles oh and he change all balljoints. check engine light was on and tranny jerking hard till third up hill 20mph. 50mph you could give it 1/4 throttle. Dex 6 atf and egr soak. $25. He gimmie $1000 dollar brand new perelli. So really only $2500 for 75k mile Mazda 6 arguably best beaters if you like telescopic steering wheel, 50/50 weight distribution, oh and on I75 I never floor it while raining doing 80. My daughter owns a 2014 Hyundai Elantra and her car was acting funny it was shutting off at low speed's! My husband and I took the car to the local Hyundai dealership in Ocala. We met a very nice service advisor and I believe her name is Phyllis. She explained to us that she would put her very best mechanic on the job and that he has experience of 26 years. The next day we received a phone call from Phyllis and she explained to us that her tech took the car for a ride to determine what was wrong. She explained to us that they cannot figure out the problem. The bill from Hyundai to "not figure out the problem" was almost $70 (which was a discounted price from the whopping 150 that they wanted to charge us) Three hours later we decided to go over to Oscars which my husband wanted to go over to from the very beginning but I said we should take it right to the dealership. Ask explained that he would definitely figure out the issue! He did and he fixed it and I'm very thankful to be able to put my young daughter in a safe car that was fixed by asker and I don't think I will be going back to Hyundai anytime soon. It is funny how a universal mechanic can figure out an issue very quickly but Hyundai who specifically teaches their tech's about Hyundai vehicles and Hyundai parts cannot figure out their own vehicles even after 26 years of experience. So we were on our way back to Destin florida from orlando and in the middle of our 6 hour drive one of our tire had a nail on it. It was 7pm and most of the tire shop close by were close. And we found oscar's shop and C.W, whose the tow driver went out of his way to help us! He took the nail out and plugged it in and he even help my friend with putting air in the tire. I wish I would have found these reviews sooner. The shop is a ripoff. I needed to have a brake line replaced but once Oscars had my car they said they would not do the repair without replacing the entire rear brake system and doing unnecessary repairs totally unrelated to the brakes. They also hit me a hefty sum for for towing both ways. Don't go here. No place else will be as bad. read more

I've taken my sisters car several times over the years along with my wife's car 2 or 3 times and Oscar always did a good job and at a fair price. It's hard to find a mechanic that won't rip you off and take advantage of some people that just don't know anything about a vehicle except that it's not working right or it's making a funny sound. Stopped going here years ago. I had a few repairs done and I was thinking this place was charging for repairs that were not done. So when my son got his first car the power steering was leaking. My husband wanted to take it to Oscars so I decided I would mark the power steering pump with a yellow marker. When we went to pick up the car we were told the pump was no good and they replaced it with a new one. So I went outside and looked at the pump and there was the yellow mark I had put on it. I showed my husband and he called Oscar out there and showed him the yellow mark and he said the auto part store does that with all the parts. I then told him no I put that mark on there before we bought the car here. The bill from that day also said the transmission was no good and needed to be replaced. The next day I took the car to Transmax and they said there is nothing wrong with this transmission. read more

I had a tire blow out recently a few miles away from Ocala, FL. After getting the spare put on, I needed to find a nearby repair shop to replace the tire so I could get home safely and as quickly as possible (about 2 hours away). Not being from the area, I had to use a Goggle search and just hope that I could find an honest and reliable repair shop. Oscar's came up on Goggle and I crossed my fingers and tried it. Upon arrival, they were super helpful. They addressed my concerns right away, gave me an accurate and reasonable price estimate and told me the replacement would take about an hour. The repair was fast (just about an hour total) and I was very pleased with the service. They even called the following day to follow up and make sure that I received good customer service. This guy ripped me off 2 years ago for 260.00 when my starter would not turn and Oscar kept my car 2 days acted as if he was waiting for the part to put on a new starter and made up 2 keys acted as if one would start the "NEW" starter only and the other for the door meanwhile they were THE SAME key, he never replced the starter but charged me for it and he is the biggest SCAM ARTIST SO BEWAREEEE he even had my car hooked on a battery charger acting as if he was juicing my battery meanwhile it was a BRAND new one, he will go to any length to act as if he is helping you and working hard on your can meanwhile it is all a SCAM read more
